Friday Challenge
busted 111th for $44.39
villain was opening pretty ferociously with his big stack, we 3bs for all the chips.
$35 turbo deep
looks good...
$66 cyclone
so this was the thin call that crippled us very early in this MTT
we opened the AKs (diamonds) and villain and big blind come along. we cbet flop, villain calls pretty quickly, big blind folds. barrel turn, villain takes some time and calls. i checked river, he took literally 1 second, then shoved.
i called and he shows up with 55.
when ranging him on the river...
-i didn't think he could have KQ because of how quickly he called the flop.
-i couldn't see him making it to the river with JT.
-i think i'd often hear from AT, A5 and to a lesser degree, sets, on the turn.
-i thought that left AJ, some slowplays, some nut flushes, and some one pair hands that he reluctantly called my turn barrel with, but now realizes won't win at showdown.
i duno, interesting hand, but i think the river is a fold if i could go back as his range is just too murky for me to make a solid decision.
when it came to busting, we ripped the QTo from the CO for our last chips
