Will be doing more frequent WhatsApp updates than the Staking Rail. Will not be using Twitter for the same.

Will post a synopsis at the end of the day on the Rail thread.

PM me your phone numbers to be included for the WhatsApp group, let's make this a group effort.

Run Good Vibes

Booked a ticket in AA with miles for next Friday (17th). Paid like 32Kish.

Saw an email that if I take an earlier flight there is a deal for a First Class, thought “why not” lets check it out, they were offering First Class one way for 22Kish. Snap called the offer.

This will help us in two ways:
1. I will be reaching Vegas by 3PM instead of 8.
2. I can fire a bullet or two in Golden Nugget 250K (3PM and/or 7PM flights)

Hope the good vibes continue into poker into the weekend and beyond!

What a crazy ride!

Bagged in the first attempt at Golden Nugget.

Landed at 2:50 PM in Vegas, by the time I picked Rental Car and reached the AirBNB location it was 4:30 PM. By the time I finished shopping for essentials it was 6:30 PM. So, I couldn’t enter the 3PM event. Went to the strip to complete the WSOP registration formalities, the parking situation on the strip and downtown were equally bad.

Roamed around Nugget a few times and parked at Circa (paid $30 for parking). I couldn’t finish the registration formalities on the strip.

We entered Nugget 7PM event in L3 at 8:25ish PM. The very first hand saw us lose 2’s to A’s. The downward trend remained till we hit the rock bottom at 2700.

Then a glimmer of hope and few lucky AI’s later our stock started trending upwards.

The critical hand happened in a three way AI where we shipped it with A8c on a 8 high two club flop and was called by initial raisers Q’s and table aggressive player’s J7 clubs. We peeled a beautiful Non club A on the turn and dodged a Q or a Club on the river.

Went to the strip and finished the registration for today’s Milly Maker event after bag n tag. What started as a wakeup at 5:45 AM in the East Coast ended at 5:45 AM in the West when I finally made it back to my room.

Hope you all enjoyed the crazy ride along with me. We have an interesting situation now, first and foremost we saved two bullets at Nugget by bagging in the first attempt. Second if we run deep in the Milly Maker and make Day 3, it will conflict with GN Day 2 (Monday). I guess it is a good problem to have. We will cross that bridge once we get there.

The beats were relentless, but, we found a bag in Milly

Sitting pretty with 120-30Kish, then these happened between L9 and 11.

Lost 33-34K w A’s<A4
Lost 33.5 w A’s<A8h AI on the 2 heart flop, River Flush
Lost 12K w A4<AQ Blind v Blind
Lost 33.5 w K’s<A8h AI on the 2 heart flop, River Flush
Lost 12K w A4<AQ Blind v Blind
Lost 21K w A’s<8’s AIPF River:8h

The beats were non stop, but, we found a bag with 22500. Hopefully we will get lucky to spin it up and win Barry Greenstein’s book on the way!

Out of Milly with this!

Open ship over a min raise with AJos in SB. It became a 4 way pot. It would have been nice to catch a K on the turn or river.

180 away from the money.

Will try Orleans 50K, 300BI after checking into my hotel.

A DS in the afternoon if we don’t run good at the Orleans!

Settling down in the hotel and car rental return took some time.

I forgot my phone in the car and dropped the key in the dropbox, so, took some time to get the phone. Long story short, I came to play the Deep Stack directly.

We are L8, 19 mins left w 49.2K, 430/743 entries.

Another 20 mins+ might increase the number of entries.

We are out of Deep Stack. AK<8’s. The board came A3866.

Highest point was 50.5. Then the wheels came off. Needed to win some flips with AK. It was 0/4 this event.

Played the Orleans $200 Bounty at 7PM.

123 Entries. Survived 8 Levels, but, no bounty!

L9, got moved to a new table, 44 left. With the stack around 22.5K, open shipped it with JcAs. Bounty hungry Greek lady calls with Q9c.

F: All low cards with 2c
T: Blank
R:Kc knocks us out in 44. 15 pay.

A disappointing day as far as tournaments go today.

We are scheduled for Nugget Mystery Bounty tomorrow at Noon. Time to make some money and win some bounties.

GL to US!

The day started with me playing a single table satty at Paris. The first one they started was a 125. Made a side deal for last longer for $20.

Felt really good with the play and the progress. When we were down to 5 players where only two remained in last longer (6 total), we chopped it for $60 each.

Three handed, I was sitting second in chips, when the last in chips opened for a three bet, we peeled Q’s and went AI. He snap called with A9os and caught an A on the flop. We did made a deal for the extra cash and got an additional $25. It was disappointing not to win the $500 lammer.

May be it was a premonition to the things that would occur later in the day.

Restarted Day 2 at Nugget with 140Kish and nicely built it to 340K. The table broke and was moved to a new table. Was able to secure a bounty worth $300.

In the end it wasn’t meant to be when we shipped Q’s into table CL’s K’s. That was twice losing with Q’s in one day.

Total Cash from Nugget was $825 ($525+300).

Made it to freezeout and lost the first hand KĀ’s to A7d. He just didn’t believe me.

Entered DS and ran the stack nicely only to see it lose in flips.

From the last 40K, Lost AQ<2’s and 10<AQ to the same guy to bust.

A little disappointing to min cash Nugget and not able to run deep in the other two.

BI Account for Monday:

Nugget Cashed $825, Q’s<K’s
Freezeout $500 Lost most of it with K’s
DS $250 10’s<AQ

Tomorrow is a day off and will be back Wed with the WSOP Seniors event.

Played the full schedule.

We had two bullets for Nugget that I did not use as we bagged in the first attempt.

But, we did play 2 1PM Deep Stacks, an Orleans Bounty and a Freezeout. So, I will call it even.

We had one cash at Golden Nugget $825.

So the refunds are as follows:

Pokerished 10% $80.25
Brklynjib 10% $80.25
RickOShay 5% $40.15
APA 5% $40.15
AK 4% $33
Gr8fulmouse 3% $24.75
Hokiefan 3% $24.75
HurricaneNick 3% $24.75
RickRoll 2% $16.50

Will ship the same this week.

Thanks for your investment, it was a pleasure sharing my tournament experiences and thoughts with you.

I just wish our big hands held up at the right time. If we could run like Allan #RLAF in one of the WSOP events, the refunds story would have been a different one.

The trip started with a bang, bagging 2/2 events back to back, but, at the end of the trip I was a little disappointed that I did not to finish well money wise, I was happy that the decisions I made were mostly appropriate and with a little bit of run good the end results would have been totally different.

Thanks to all of you for your investment. I appreciate it wholeheartedly!
