Took a direct flight to reach early (3PM) instead of at 10:40PM. A storm decided to show up just in the nick of time. Instead of landing at 3:20 they rerouted us to Phoenix.

After all said and done reached Vegas at 10PM. I guess we still arrived before 10:40PM.

Since we are done with all the travel run bad the only direction remains is up. Got a good sleep and little cardio this morning.

Excited to start the first event at the Nugget. The registration person informed me that they had 700 and would easily get 300 today to reach the 500K GTD.

Will update on twitter during breaks. Good Luck to US!

Event 1 - Nugget 500K
SS: 25K Blind Levels: 40 Minutes

Arrived at 10:30 AM and registered for the event. The line was non existent. Didn't realize at that time that the registration was open till end of Level 13. I guess everyone has sufficient time to cover the other events in town and enter this one after dinner break. The lines were long in the evening.

Table Dynamics
Table: 6 Seat: 2

Seat 1: Frenchieeeeee
Seat 2: Hero
Seat 3: Guy from Wales
Seat 4: Nemesis, every time we get a decent middle pair, he would come over top with a bigger pair
Seat 5: Green Guy
Seat 6: Spewy Lady, she is a survivor, there were at least three times she got it in bad and came on top
Seat 7: Old Woman Coffee, she gift wrapped a pot to us with min betting, we paid her back thou
Seat 8: Frenchie2, if he bets as if he is disinterested - he got the nuts!
Seat 9: Wild Billy, he got super short in the middle, got lucky and tripled thru Green Guy
Seat 10: Cowboy, kept on trying to remember someone who looks like Seat 3

The progression of our stack went like this:
Level Stack Entries
1 34050 250

8's on a 46Q 2d flop. Turn 8. River 7. Spewy and Wild Billy paid my river bet of 1100. Wild Billy might have had a Q.

Spewy tried to buy the pot on the turn.

Called a raise from Spewy with 45os on the button. Green joins the party. Green has built a routine of betting every time I check to him. Good keep it that way.

Pre flop: Spewy 450, I and Green call.
Flop: 45Q, Spewy 700, I call, Green makes it 1800
Turn: 3, Green bets 2500, I call
River: 5, Green checks, I bet 5K and he folds.

2 14350 397

I open AQos and we are headsup with Wild Billy. F:QJ7 2d, Bet 3/4th pot, he calls. T:9d, Bet call. R:Kc. We both check and he shows 10cJd for a straight. He missed value on the river in hopes of a check raise.

K8c, three to the flop (Green, Wales and I). F:5d67c. Green lost half his stack before. I open, Wales calls, Green 3 Bets, I wanted to play for stacks at this point and didn't want Wales anymore. I 3 Bet and Green jams. T:Ah R:Ad.

3 13700 418 First Break
4 13200 505

5 26375 540

I raise 600, 3 callers (Green, Frenchie2 and Wild Billy). F:10h35d, I check, Green bets 900, Frenchie2 calls, Wild Billy calls, I Jam. Green folds, Frenchie2 calls and Wild Billy folds.

A10d vs KQd T:2 R:A, Green laments that he would have had a straight.

6 24450 605 Second Break

7 39050 658

OWC opens for 2400, I call A5c, Wales calls. F:367, OWC bets 2400, we both call. T:2, OWC bets 2400, we both call. R:4, OWC checks, I bet 6500, Wales is upset and stares me down, OWC takes forever and folds a set. Wales said he had two pair.

8 32500 689
9 30650 ?
10 20300 ?
11 Busto AQos<9's

Limp with AQos with the intention of shoving the flop if favorable or get it in if heads up. Wales shoves and we are even stacks. I decided to flip with 18 Bigs rather than falling close to 10 soon.

Board ran out: K7765

The schedule for today includes WPT at 10 AM at ARIA. If we bust early, then 888 at 4PM at RIO. Good Luck to US.

I wanted to make this as entertaining as possible for my rail. But, please don't misread entertainment as lack of seriousness. When I am in a pot I am super focused. I wish and hope we will be on the right side of variance unlike last night's 240 run out.

Event 2 - ARIA WPT 565
SS: 15K Blind Levels: 30 Minutes

Level Stack Entries
1 15K 260
2 16.1 270
3 1100 280

The major hand happened in this level. Made the villian commit most of my 15K stack, but, couldn't fade his draws.

He came in with a raise to 1100, I min raise to 2200. Pot: 4400
F:10Q7 1h Bet 3K V calls Pot: 10400
T: 3h Bet 5K V calls Pot: 20400
R: 9h.

He leads for 7K and did that very quickly. I was 50/50 on the call. I call and he turns over KJh. I made him commit 10.2K out of his 15K stack and couldn't fade the river. I could have saved the 7K by folding on river.

4 Busto AQos < AKos for 2200 AI. Board: K83 2h Q 5

H1: Tripled up to 3425 Q's > 8's. We hit a set.

H2: Limp pot and we limp with A5os. Flop: QQ5 checks. T:5, V leads 400 and I raise to 900, he snap ships AI and we fold.

Ship the last 2250 with AQos on the guy with 8's hand above. He woke up with AKos. K on flop and Q on turn.

It was kind of disappointing not to run deep in this event. I could have shipped on the turn instead of betting 5K when the pot was 10400. But, if he is on draw we would rather make him pay for his mistake.

Event 3 - WSOP Crazy 8's
SS: 5K Blind Level: 30 Minutes

We start with 5K. I open the first pot to 75 over three limpers on the button with 10Js. I was three bet (225) by the euro in Seat 8. We miss the flop and he bets big and we fold.

Level Stack Entries
1 3750 1548
2 2700 1700
3 1250 Busto 9's < A's

There was an open for 350 and two callers. I ship my last 1250 with 9's and they all call.
Board: AQJJ8. V2 had pocket A's.

There was so much betting on this table. I would call in position and wiff completly.

One of the players sitting at the table won a pot with 3's vs our AKs and I wiff the board completely after giving us many draws.

Board: 8c10dQs 9s6c.

On My Own Dime:

275 Single Table Satellite
BI: 275 Last Longer: 100 SS:1500 Levels: 15 Minutes

We were cruising along by winning and losing some small pots.

In a 5 way pot for 125, I call with 2's. Pot: 625
F:J42
First to act V1 ships 900 (he won a huge pot with K's vs 9's and lost two pots with 5/6's). V2 was down to 1025 and he ships it too. We are sitting with 1200.
V1: 4's, V2: A's and we came down to 425.

Wiff a few hands and ship the last 275 with Q8d and run into AKos and we both miss the board.

Daily Deep Stack 185
SS:10K

Built my stack to 22K. There was a raise to 800, RR 1500, 1 caller, I bump it 3500. V1 folds, V2 calls, V3 calls. Pot: 11300+
F:3310 w 2d. I ship it (18Kish), V2 folds, V1 tank calls with 9's (As I didn't realize I was first to act (thought I was on the button), he read the tanking as
weakness)

T:K R:9 (Just brutal!)

ARIA 240

I am down to 10200 at Level 7 and wake up with 6's. Blinds were 6/1200, 100 ante.

I limp for 1200. MP min raises to 2400. 2 callers, BB ships his stack of 12K. I am AI as well. Initial Raiser folds and we get one more caller. Pot: 40Kish.

Hero:6's V1: A10os V2: A10os (because there was lot of money in the pot). I was very happy to see they are both drawing to each others outs.

F: All low below 8 (except 6 ofcourse). T:A R:X

The plan for today is Aria's WPT at 10:00 AM. If we get knocked out in the first 2 hours, will think about WSOP. Otherwise try to 4/7 PM Planet Hollywood flights of 600K.

Wish me some run good and positive variance my dedicated rail!

3 3600 400
4 9625 442 First Break
5 Busto 910c AI on the turn Board: 5c6c8d 10h vs AKos River: Kd

We were on an Old Man Coffee aggressive table. There were 4/5 OMC's but unlike their usual style these were aggressive and bet heavy on drawing hands.

It didn't help us when we missed Str8 draws and a draw with flush possibilities.

OMC1 had a big stack. OMC2 was a silent assasign. He would sit the silently and suddenly come with 3 Bet's.

OMC1, I and Kangaroo were involved in this pot:
Open 300 with Q's. They all call.
F:A68, I check, Kangaroo leads the betting, OMC1 calls, I call.
T:10, I check, Kangaroo bets, OMC1 re raises, we fold, Kangaroo calls.

At show down Kangaroo shows 7's and OMC1 shows A2s.

I opened AKos to 800 and OMC2 limp flats. I cbet 1600 on a JJ5 and was promptly 3 Bet and fold.

OMC1, I and Kangaroo were involved in this pot:
K8d F:10sQcAd Kangaroo bets and we call. T:6d Kangaroo bets and we call. River:10c. Kangaroo bets and OMC1 calls. Kangaroo shows AJos and OMC2 shows A6os.

It was kind of disappointing not to run deep in this event after two tries. It was getting close to 1 PM and I decided to give PH a shot rather being deep on the alternate list waiting.

Event 5 - Planet Hollywood 600K
SS: 20K Blind Level: 30 Minutes

9 27200
10 Busto Open AKh for 3K at 500/1000 w100. Brit girl calls, she has been playing pretty close to the vest, F: Ac78s.

I didn't want to give her a free spade if she is drawing or commit her if she is playing a weak ace. I am AI and was snapped by Set of 8's.

As she is a tight player, I could have bet pot (6K leaving 18 behind) and give up on the hand. But, if I didn't want to give a free card the 6K bet not do us any good.

It was disappointing to run till Level 10 and not make it to the end of the day (in another 5 levels).

On My Own Dime:

Splurged a little cash action at Planet Hollywood. Man this poker room sucks with tables in the middle of the casino floor. There were dancers around near the pit games. Loud music, which made it difficult to hear anyone.

There was a cubs fan from chicago and I trading jabs. I paid him off to his K high hand, when my draws didn't materialize (what's new right!). He paid me off in the tune of 145 when my KQos was good on a K high board.

The chinese dude to my next was funny, he hates K's (as he loses with them all the time), give them to me! He would snap go AI whenever he had K's irrespective of the bet or size of the pot.

Chinese, Cubs Fan, Euro Donk, Two locals guys and I were involved in this pot. There was a raise to 10 and we all call, we have A6h. F:358h Yahtzee!

Euro Donk bets 20, Local1 shoves 95, I tank and flat the 95 (225 behind), China calls. Pot: 365

T: 6c I shove 225 and cover China. China snaps and show 5's for a set. Local1 shows KJh.
R: 3 paired the board.

China Happy, Local1 Not Happy and Hero's eyes turned from $ signs to Red. Then the stratergy discussion started as to how China knew what I had and was still gambling.

Double up with K10>910 on a 6710 flop.

13 Busto 41/221, 7 off the money, AQos in SB, there was an open to 5500 and two callers. I am AI for 26.5. V1 folds, V2 calls with 6's, V3 folds, he hits a set and we don't connect.

As I mentioned played a with a lot of heart and determination to make it in to the money. The spot when I shoved had 16/17K in dead money if they fold.
V1 and V2 were new to the table and V3 instantly folded as he was playing with me all day.

Event 7 - Venetian 40K GTD

Folded 10's correctly, two shorty's AI with KJ and K in the window.

Got a bounty with Q9os. F: 810Q, raiser bets we call. T:J, he bets again and we put him AI. Q9os > K's

8 Busto

In this level raised K's in LP. Button and SB call. F:AA3, make a cbet and get called by both, check turn, SB leads river for half pot and we fold.

Call a min raise with 910s. F:68Q double gutter. Three callers. V1 bets, we both call.
T:K, V1 bets and we both call again.
R:We brick the river with a Q.

So, became very short and was left with 3200. Picked up K6h and went with it when folded to me. SB and BB both call.

K6<KJ>73os. We get an A high board and no one connects.

We finally have one cash for the series.

On My Own Dime:

Splurged a little cash action at Wynn.

Call a raise from a Chinese Baccarat Player with KJc.

F: J high with 2 diamonds, he bets, one caller, I 3bet and both call.
T: 6d, checks and I make a pot size bet, CBP calls V2 folds
T: 3d, he checks even before the river is dealt. I check back and he turns over AdQc for the win.

Got back with Q's on a QAA flop and a Nut Flush that held up this time for a change.

3 5450 945

Missed a shoving chance, would have been good, AQos raise to 600 in EP, SB re raises 2200, BB re raises 6K. We fold. SB is AI and BB calls. SB: AKos BB:J's F:Q high. That would have put us around 12K.

Double up to 6300 with 89d on a K7c89c board. Shove on turn, my neighbor who loves his FD's calls with A5c. R:As.

4 14200 1050 First Break

5 7200 720/1050
6 4900ish Busto, Shove 4500 on an open of 1200. V calls with AJd vs our AKos. J high flop and Q turn and no magical cards to help us stick around.

On My Own Dime:

Splurged a little cash action at Wynn. Ran A's into Q's. Then went to RIO to play DS.

In the night played at Planet Hollywood. Ran my A's into K10. F:K109 T:K TYVM!

Then realized I haven't seen the Bellagio Fountains, so, called the poker room put my name on the list (15 deep), time was 11:35 PM and caught the show at 11:45 PM. Checked into the Poker Room and we are first on the list (What! Is this Bellagio we are talking about? From when did they became super fast in clearing the wait lists?)

Table had a typical mix of local talent and international players. We get into a super fun hand with the lady to my left.

We call a raise to 15 with Pocket 2's. F:Ad2h6h. We check she promptly bets 25, I take a few seconds and bump into 60. She takes a few seconds staring me down, I usually project a charm of EURO DONK and goes AI for 280, we snap. She wasn't particularly happy about the snap call and says "do you have two pair or something?", I said "I do have something good!" and show her the good news. The dealer probably didn't hear my words Good News and delivers two more hearts on turn and river to give the lovely Lady a better news. She didn't even realize she had the Ah and was pleasantly surprised for the pot being pushed her way.

Damn! When does this end? I had to park my arse at the table for two more hours to breakeven and went home.

Final Thoughts:

Played 6 sessions of cash and had 3 good ones and 3 not so good ones.

Bricked every tournament except Venetian where we had one bounty. Overall the trip wasn't successful monetary wise. After all the incredible bad beats, I still tried to keep my game face on and move along.

I tried to involve the rail as much as possible, as I know some of you would like to do this and were not having the time or opportunity during the series. I hope I have entertained you all well and you were able to follow the action and enjoy my bad beat stories.

Celebrity Sightings:

1. Met Antonio, he was super nice and wished us luck on twitter
2. Saw Jhonny F.. Chang at Bellagio. Saw Jason Mercier and Paul Volpe at Bellagio
3. Paul was super nice and asked his friend Ryan to a take a picture

Folks,

I have sent the refunds to everyone. Since we pretty much bricked every event I was feeling a little sad to refund the paltry amounts.

I will fire the weekly Friday event at Horseshoe Baltimore. It is a $150 buy-in 10K GTD. All your percentages in this package will be carried over.

I will keep you all posted when I play that event so you can follow along.
