Made it relatively deep today despite running very cold the majority of the time. Final hand 4bet AKs all in, in an easy spot vs a button 3 bettor.....yet he had aces. Turned the second spade but brick river, nh. Back at it tmrw for day 1b.
Sigh out closer to the bubble, haven't had much momentum on my side but making it deep and getting shots. Lost AK to tens all in pre, meh...as I won tens to AK pre for a decent chunk a bit before that. Good ole donkaments. One last shot for day 2 of event 9 for redemption.
Out. Started out decent, building and getting a couple spews. A smaller field of 162 showed up and it was dropping fast. A string of lol hands where players continued to try to donate, and then standard jams late busted me around 28th......poker. It was fun though, wish there were more 6 max events around. Whatcanyado.
Jammed jacks on the button into kings during the 600 level, fun game. Feel like I'm playing well but the results have been lacking.....as always though - that's poker. Just gotta keep at it and not let it bother me. But with the pace of live poker, and the game itself, it's tough to not have it happen at least a little. Oh well, back at it tomorrow.
Busted out early to a 4 outer on the river while getting a lot in on the turn. Couldn't find a fold vs this opponent yet he showed up with it, hoi already tho haha.
It is just sickness. So cold. Grinded out smooth for a while until I opened with kings, two callers and a squeeze over all in from the big blind. He had A6o and ships the big pot, quoting that I never have anything. Uhhh pretty sure I never showed down a bluff today and all was from insinuations from my non showdown hands. Yawnnnnn, standard. That crippled me to get in the rest with A2vsK2, K flop ya gg. Running so cold, looking for that heater.
Pretty sick, but typical of la players. Super aggressive or ultra stations. Can't get it in any better though. If luck wasn't a factor u would win every one
Gee ridiculously cold and the dry run continues. Ended up with only 91 runners and I went out around 30th......main Thursday, looking forward to the structure and event.

Made Day 2. Day 1b tmrw and we'll combine fields on Saturday.
It was a roller coaster of a day. Up good early, then lost a big pot to Allen Cunningham on an odd hand. Back up after that, then cold to end the day.......and ended down at 16,800 chips. About 40% of the field advanced and we'll start back up at the 1k level.
Lots of dynamics come into play late because of the re-entry but I think you did the right thing by not just auto shipping your stack every hand and playing (and paying) tomorrow.
If you had like 7-12k it's debatable, but your still going to need to win some doubles to ship the tourney regardless so mindlessly shipping your 16k stack in hopes of a double, with the plan of paying another $3,700 tomorrow is probably only a good idea if you are rich and feel the field will be much softer and you have a huge edge in early rounds. It is an interesting spot for 7k-10k stacks though.
Yea, looks like Liveatthebike is a pay site and I said meh... Live reporting at WPT is sub par as well, but it does cover some chip counts and hands.
