It’s going to be another year out on the live circuit and MaxKatz is buying a lot of my action to reduce variance. I’m going to use this thread to update which events are played and the amount of action sold.

To follow results, here’s my PokerPages profile. Looking to add many 1’s to rid the 5th n 6th place ‘curse’ =). GLGL to all out there.


The first event for the year was the HPT at the Red Rock Jan 15th. I sold him 60% at 1.25 to the $1100 event for $825 (Received on PStars) and finished 33rd out of ~560 for $1752. It was a really good event with a lot of bad players donating. Built up a big stack towards the bubble before losing a 90/10 ai on the turn, then doubling 4-5 short stacks to become short and run into kings. 60% = $1051.20.

It’s looking to be a grind this year. Should be fun =) - big results will help a little.

Caesar's Winter Poker Classic - $230. 30% sold at 1.25.

Received $5k from Max on PStars for action.

MaxValue: $1051.20 + $5000 - $86.25 = $5964.95

Busto'd from today's event relatively early. The field was really soft yet couldn't get it going. It was also +$10 for the add-on and I received an additional $5013.75 from Max on Stars to keep it stocked for all of the Caesar's/Venetian events. Another C event tomorrow.

Chopped 5 ways for $5292.

I usually don't like chopping unless favorable, which this was. Today's tourney was going really smooth throughout the whole day, as hands were holding up and the stack was steadily growing. I had the chip lead for most of the day, and came into the FT as CLer yet most went wrong from there.

The event ending up getting 142 players and started with a 20k starting stack. A stack run down was this: 24k end 100, 36k 200, 71k 400, 68k 600, 105k 800, 170k 1200, 250k 1600, 235k 2k, 300 4k (brutal jump near bubble), 335k 6k, 440k 8k, 560 12k, 850 16k, 600k 20k, 300k 30k ---> chop.

It was a good tourney until the last couple levels then entered short stack mode. I ignored chop talk the whole final table and one guy leaned towards not. Once I got short and they kept it up, I said I would only do an even chop and they pretty much all agreed quick (the four others had 400-900k stacks). Tax talk changed it slightly but I ended with $5292 in the chop. They marked me down for 5th (sigh =/), which will show as a $27xx cash.

Also I am sending Max back his 10k on PStars and will receive funds later if needed.

Caesar's WPC $350 - selling 30%@1.25

Busto from today's event. It was relatively an uninteresting day. Started out with winning a few pots and building a bit in the first level. In the next couple levels, things were dry with the stack shrinking a little under the starting stack. Then during the 600 level I ran 77 on a 789ss flop into J10. QK TR and out.

I won't be playing live the next couple days, but most likely will play either Tues or Wed next. Then the Venetian series starts on Friday.

Heading down soon for another Caesar's event $350. Selling 40%@1.25.

Busto from today's event. Going to skip most of the write-up, but doubled early on a pretty sweet hand, bit of a roller coaster after, then busted later in the 1200 level on a cooler with trips vs boat.

As of now, I'm only going to play the main for the rest of the Caesar's events and start at the V Friday.

Meh out in the first level. Ran kings into aces in an unavoidable spot. Poker.

You know you're in a good game when you get to check your big blind in a 8-way limped pot 8 handed. But as for today, unfortunately it didn't pan out. Was building the stack decent early, then a few things went downhill. Busted in the 300 level when I got it aipf 3 way with QQ vs AK n a mucked river hand, board ran out KK4A5 gg.

Venetian $560, selling 50%@1.25.

Out. The day started decent as I had a fairly easy table and ran the starting 15k to 45k by the end of the 400 level. Then the first hit came when I iso jammed AK and got it in 2:1 vs JJ after getting QQ to fold pre....Q river jacks win. That took me to about 28k in the 800 level, dropping to around 15k when QQ<JJ J turn. Then busto with AQ<1010 1k level for 40k. Flips.

Taking the next couple events off and playing the C main $560 Thursday.

Blah gross tourney. We started with 30k in chips and was up to about 50k by the end of the 400 level. I then lasted around another 6 hours or so moping around, with the last few being extremely dry to the 2k level where I ran my short stacked jacks into aces nh gg.

I have a few things to take care of tomorrow, most likely playing the V Saturday next.

I was going to do a write-up on today but we're starting at noon tmrw instead of four due to the big game. So to keep it brief, we started with 12k chips and I ended the 6k level with 367k chips. Looking to go on a run tomorrow!

Sighhh. We went from 18 players to the final table of 10 relatively quick, while most went against me. Ended up going out with JJ to AQ all in pre, flips. Satisfied with my play but not with the result, poker.
