WTS: Game Theory Lessons (Interest Thread) WTS: Game Theory Lessons (Interest Thread)

I am starting this thread to see if there is enough interest in game theory lessons to put something together during December/January. If there is, I will only do a set number of hours per week, with individual students, whether or not they are group sessions will be determined by the level of interest and schedules. Regardless of the format, the time slots will be sold to those valuing them the highest.

The limiting factor in being able to provide lessons is the mathematical background of the students. You will at least need to know arithmetic and calculus (and some familiarity with statistics). If you don't know these, then I wouldn't bother. The more advanced topics of game theory are going to be cut out, as there is no real benefit to a poker player of knowing how to prove everything, so it would be a waste of time. I will tailor the lessons just to the basics and equip students with the skills necessary to be familiar with game theory and ideally learn the thought processes required to solve games.

About myself:
I have 4 years of experience tutoring mathematics and economics. I tutored mathematics during high school, and I tutored economics for the university I attended for my undergraduate degrees. I double majored in economics and philosophy with a minor in business. I also was only ~3 classes from a triple major in mathematics. After finishing my bachelors, I went on to a PhD program in economics. I am currently in my second year, and will have completed the sequence of core microeconomics courses by the end of this semester. The current class I am enrolled in is a theory based class which has no bearing on the lessons being offered. I have passed my microeconomics qualifying exam, and am currently a TA for the university.

If you are interested in such lessons, please respond to this thread, keeping in mind that I will not be accepting students who do not have the required mathematical background.
