My name is David and I live in Henderson, NV (intersection of South Stephanie St and Paseo Verde), 15-17 minutes away from Bally's. I live in a 3br / 2ba house with my wife, my 8-year old son, and one beautiful mixed breed (best guess is Basset Hound / Full sized Dachshund / Vizsla mix) dog named "Hubie".
My wife is Indonesian and she, and my son, will be heading over to Indonesia the last week of May (flexible for now, we will be booking the tickets relatively soon). My wife and son will be staying in our house in Indonesia from May 27ish and not be returning to Henderson until Mid-August. This leaves two of our bedrooms fully furnished and available for poker players, or dealers, that are coming in town for the world series and need a place to stay. The Kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms are protected by gates so that Hubie cannot go into those areas without supervision. Hubie has free reign in the Living room and a decent-sized backyard whenever he is not left alone (crated).
I am a 53-year old man (very young for my age) who runs a reselling business with my wife (which we will mostly be shutting down for the summer) and I also play poker (1/2 PLO with 5 bring-in and 5/5 PLO with mandatory straddle/rock) 20-30 hours per week. I plan on playing more like 50-60 hours per week during the World Series as the games are never better than June and Early July in Vegas (with the possible exception of March Madness).
I need two people to fill my empty bedrooms, primarily, to help keep my super-loving dog company this summer.
Here are some amenities that my house offers:
I have a basic home gym in the backyard (Bowflex PR-1000, dumbells, resistance bands and bench) for you to use.
The housing complex has a small pool/jacuzzi that you will have access to.
We have a washer / dryer and you can use my laundry detergent.
Reliable street parking
Strong home Internet
Fully equipped Kitchen with Blender, Juicer, and Microwave
Here is what you will NOT be asked to do regarding Hubie:
1 - Feed Hubie. I will make sure to be home at 8 am and 8 pm every day for two feedings.
2 - Walk Hubie. I will also take Hubie for two LONG walks after each feeding.
3 - Pick up any excrement.
Here is what I will be asking you to do regarding Hubie:
1 - Put Hubie in his crate if you are the last roommate to leave (leaving Hubie alone). The fridge will be stocked with fresh beef bones which will provide you with a hassle-free method for getting Hubie in his crate.
2- Let Hubie outside in our fully-fenced backyard whenever it is convenient for you. I will pick up any #2s that occur in the yard - not your concern.
3- Let Hubie out of his crate whenever you are the first roommate to come home post crating.
4 - Pet Hubie on the Living room couch whenever you have a free 10-minutes. The couch is super comfortable and reclines mechanically. There is a 60in smart TV in full view from the couch with a Netflix subscription at your disposal.
In exchange for this help, I will be offering a below Market charge for the sublet. I am thinking $1000 for each room which would include all utilities for May 28 (flexible), until July 15 (very flexible) cash upfront. If you fulfill your duties as a friend to Hubie during those 6+weeks, I will refund you at least $200 when we say our goodbyes. If I crush the PLO games all summer, I will refund a bit more, but I will commit to refunding at least $200 to each roommate that fulfills their dog-loving duties.
