The ultrasharp 2410 is incredible. I know that most people playing poker just want to get the most screen real estate for the least amount of money, and that's fine. But, if you care about quality, there's nothing better than a H-IPS panel. However, be warned, once you get an IPS screen, you won't be able to go back and use a TN panel ever again.

Also I've seen a few people asking for 30" monitors. By far the best deal, if you can stand to wait, is to just wait until some of the 3007s show up in the dell outlet and get them. They've been selling for $799, and for that you get a full warranty.

got the 28" hanns-g delivered today

-no dead pixels
-no overheating/white screen
-hudge !

i'd spend 300$ on this all day (its 1900x1200 fwiw)

I like this monitor. My video card only has 1440x900. What does that mean on a monitor like this one that has 1920x1080?

Looking at one of the reviews and they mention hooking up their ps3/xbox360.

What's the property/plug name a monitor has to have to be able to do this just so I know when shopping around, want my 22-24 to double as a console/tv screen.

If you have HDMI cables you just need a monitor with digital input, which is nearly all the ones posted in this thread.

Got an email from Dell about their 24" HD widescreen monitor. $199, sale begins tomorrow at 7am. It looks fantastic. 2 day sale, right now shows $279...will have to wait till the morning for $199 price. I'm pretty sure I'll get this one, anyone see anything negative about this one? Thanks.

Might have to spring on this - basically a renamed 24" Acer for $200

Question for comp guys: "2,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 400 cd/m² brightness, 2ms response time, and HDMI, DVI, and VGA inputs."

Inputs obviously a ncessity, but is 2000:1 contrast ratio good? I recall seeing upwards of 10k on some of these other monitors. How about the brightness and ms response time? If I'm hoping to use this for gaming as well as poker, should I pass?
