You also won't be able to get max res without one.
www.4allmemory.com (good cheap open box selection and fast shipping)
www.newegg.com - huge selection, might be higher prices but sometimes you can find good deals.
Can also get VCs from best buy, but youll pay a lot more.
Thanks for the response. I just hooked my old monitor back up for the time being. Now I'll have to learn all about video cards
Couple quick questions:
- Are video cards easy to install? Is it as easy as installing a ethernet card which I've done in the past.
-What type of viedo card do I need for poker, AGP, PCI, or PCI express?
-If I wanted a fancy setup with two monitors on one computer. I'm guessing I would need a video card with 4 total input slots, both a VGA and DVI slot for each monitor, even though the older monitor only has VGA.
Now I want to get a new computer as well but was hoping to wait until later in the year when Windows 7 came out. I didn't want to get the Vista since I never used it before and will be done with soon anyway.
Do any of these newer computers come with video cards with dual monitor capabilities built in? Or would I need to buy one and install no matter how new the computer is?
Is there a way to buy a new computer now with Microsoft 7 already installed. Seems some people use it already, are they just computer wizzes getting advanced copies or what?
