Had this computer as a back-up. I haven't used it for about 6 months. Now it's just taking up space.
Specs:
Pentium D 830 (3 Ghz, dual core)
2 GB PC4200 RAM
250 GB SATA hard drive (7200rpm)
Colorgraphic Xentera GT PCI video card w/ 4 DVI out. Can run 4 monitors off one PCI card. Max DVI resolution per monitor: 1600x1200.
2 optical disc drives (DVD R/W, and DVD-ROM)
PCI modem
Integrated ethernet
Integrated sound
The following motherboard slots are unused: PCIe x16, PCIe x4, PCIe x1, PCI.
I wiped the hard drive and installed the Dell OEM copy of Windows XP Professional. This computer has the XP Professional Certificate of Authenticity. I ran all of the critical updates on the computer and installed SP3. I have installed all of the necessary drivers, including the video drivers necessary to configure a 4 monitor setup.
I had originally planned to give this to a family member so I installed an assortment of open-source software on it, including:
Pidgin
Mozilla Firefox
Mozilla Thunderbird
OpenOffice
TrueCrypt
PDFcreator
SumatraPDF
Audacity
7-zip
GIMP
All of these programs are absolutely free. They will not bloat your system like the software that comes packaged with a new Dell system. And they will never hound you to subscribe or pay for more services. In most cases, they are as good or better than the commercial alternatives. I will uninstall any or all of them if you wish.
I will also throw in support over TeamViewer if you need help configuring this system or getting Hold'em Manager, anti-virus, or poker apps set up.
I would prefer local pick-up in the San Diego area, but I am willing to ship anywhere in the world. Packing + shipping costs for the U.S. should be between $50-80. I will have it professionally packaged.
I will accept Pokerstars transfer or cash for local pick-ups.
