If you sold something brand new to someone with stickers still on it, wouldnt you want some proof from the buyer that it wasnt working when he received it? I would 100% agree you deserve the be compensated for the pc repair shop bill if you can provide one. It really shouldnt be too hard as you should still be on their records so I'm sure they wouldnt mind giving you another one if you ask

Assuming he removed himself from the marketplace group unless he was removed by a mod?

If you refuse to post proof (How hard is it?) removed self from marketplace and given yet another vague and defensive response, +1 to twoplustwoplustwo.

I don't really have anything to add but one thought lingers in my mind.. What your original intentions were if UCL didn't send the money as soon as he had confirmation from the tracking site.

Anyway like I said in my previous posts, make what you will of this story, I've offered to resolve this in a polite manner but there is nothing more I can do if he refuses to post proof that it was faulty.

I'm confused as to why you think he ever had Marketplace Approval - he's never started a thread.

And yeah, he obviously should be providing a receipt if he wants any sort of compensation.

I'm sure I saw it when I have viewed his profile in the past, now it has gone.

Was he never a marketplace member? I'm so certain, 99%, my eyes must have tricked me..

I have no idea if he ever was, unfortunately there's no way to check that. However, since there are no notes saying he was removed, and he's never started a thread, I sort of doubt he was.

dude either provide proof for receipt that you paid 50 (insert currency here) for it, and then work on a compromise, or stop your complaining because that isnt how business works, you dont just say you owe me this for that because it didnt work but im not showing you proof......r u serious?

you look really REALLY bad if you wont show proof but keep saying it was bad and you paid 50 (again, insert currency here) to get it fixed.

OP you are in the right until he decides to step up and prove what he "had" done, not even a question imo....

ok so I will post once more. Im done with this thread. In my previous post I dont think I came across correct. I have paid the amount so i emailed the seller seeing if he wanted to give me $50 a portion of what i paid. It was in the shop and they checked everything and fixed the mousepad. Im **** with receipts normally just chuck them I should have kept it I know. Maybe I should get a copy of receipt but I dont need the money enough to go back to shop and ask for one. Easier if I emailed seller as I possibly I think he knew about the mousepad.
I tried to resolve the mousepad myself by downloading drivers from the asus website but to no avail. I then rang the customer support and they stated it was a problem with the hardware (i think) it was nothing they could do over the phone they wanted me to send laptop to them. As I have purchased the laptop from seller I could not do this so i took it to shop.
I then emailed seller after rec fixed laptop and basically asked for $50 with no proof. Ok my bad. I dont need the money just wanted some compo. We can do screenshots of balance on pokersite to deffo prove I dont need $50.
The funny thing is if I didnt email the seller and just posted in the thread that the mousepad was broken this thread would be going the other way, the fact that i fixed it and asked for money has derailed the thread IMO.
cliffs:
my bad for asking for refund with no receipt
laptop was received with faulty mousepad

lol I really dont understand how you think you are entitled to compensation when you cant prove to OP that you had to go get it fixed. PC shops usually keep records so it would be very easy to call them up and get a receipt.

1) Tell me how I'm meant to know if the touchpad works or not when I've never turned it on? Everything was still factory sealed and wrapped so you know full well it was never turned on.

2) The laptop is your property, it has warranty, of course you could have sent it to asus to be fixed.

3) I don't need a picture of your cashier, I don't even understand your logic there.

4) The thread would have turned out differently and I'd be trying to resolve it by offering a refund or paying for it to be repaired. It definitely would be going the same way if you sent it to be repaired, asked me for money and refused to show me a receipt, things don't work like that.

You should have just said ITT as soon as you got it 'There's a problem' instead of contacting me the next day saying 'its ****ed, send me $50 and I'll pretend like nothing happened in the thread' your reasoning for not posting is thoughtful, but if I had just received a brand new faulty laptop I wouldn't care if the seller had other sales.

I've tried to resolve this, I hope everybody can see that so it doesn't affect any future trades I do.
