I didn't want this to be my first post here, but I'll say it anyway.
This cover is simply brilliant with it's concept, originality and well execution. Unlike others, it completely nails the context as well. The natural feel because of all that handmade work is what would personally make me feel better when sitting down to read a 100-page e-book.
And I have to put my two cents on another matter as well. If this (or thirteen's cover for that matter) gets chosen, it goes completely underpriced for what it's worth. First of all professional book cover designs usually cost around 2k. Now those books are sold way cheaper and target a larger field-but the profit goes to a lot of places. Whereas this book is overpriced and is for a very small certain group of people, and the profit only goes to 2-3 people. The main point here is that, if you'r offering a special product that CLAIMS to differ from all the other products on that market, you need to get every basic thing good + add a value to it. And if the added value is context here, you need to stop doing other things as cheap and fast (the typos for instance) as possible.
I understand giving back to the community even for 500$, and I really think it's a great idea. It will help more to your book as well. But man up, and pay at least 1000.
