SELLING: BROKEN TUBE TV SELLING: BROKEN TUBE TV

I have a broken Toshiba Color Tube TV.

I believe that the 'tv tube' is broken. I am not 100% sure.

The problem: One day, the screen turned blue. I could still hear the sound from the show playing. I quickly turned off the tv and turned it back on. The problem was fixed.

2 days later, the same thing happened. When I turned it back on, it went to blue after 10seconds and then zapped to black. Zapped meaning a sliver of light went through the screen before going to black.

Someone may want to fix it up. It may be a simple tweak, it may not be.

If there is some interest I will post pictures.

Highest bidder gets it, shipping is on you.

LOL, is this posting a joke? Tube TVs are cheap enough as it is. Might as well buy a new one instead of paying shipping. Hell, your only option is to give it away free on CL.

I've never heard a CRT referred to as a "Tube TV"; if what you mean is an old vacuum tube TV and are selling this as an antique/collectible, then yeah, you'll want to post pictures.

But if you actually mean a CRT, then I don't even know where to start, other than by just closing this now to save you the pain.

It is a CRT/tube tv, not the old vacuum tube TV.

Yeh if there is no interest, which it seems like , the thread can die.

I took my old tube TV to Best Buy and they dispose of it for free.

Otherwise, there's a disposal fee for it as I'm not supposed to put it into any old dumpster. I'm told over the phone with Best Buy that it's dangerous and not allowed by law.

OMG so lol.

I'd be lucky to get 100$ for my mint CRT. Yours is broken and requires shipping. I love how you also mention that it's color.

Btw, would you happen to have a broken VCR for sale?

I opened this thread in hopes it wasn't someone actually trying to sell an old, broken CRT TV. I have a 36" in the garage no one wants to carry away and it works fine.

If you got any serious offers at all I can't see they'd ever cover shipping so I'm kinda with Bobo here. You can maybe try Craiglist locally to avoid shipping, but it sounds like something that needs to be disposed of.

edit: If I'm missing something on this send me a PM, but I can't imagine this could possibly sell.
