This offer is for out-of-towners coming to vegas to either play or work at the WSOP - World Series of Poker. Please do not contact me if you are looking for a permanent residence, I am only looking for a 2-month roommate, with a one-month minimum.

My name is David and I live in Henderson, NV (intersection of South Stephanie St and Paseo Verde), 15-17 minutes away from Bally's. I live in a humble 3br / 2ba house with my wife, my 8-year-old son, and one beautiful mixed breed (best guess is Basset Hound / Full sized Dachshund / Vizsla mix) dog named "Hubie".

My wife is Indonesian and she, and my son, will be heading over to Indonesia the last week of May (flexible for now, we will be booking the tickets soon). My wife and son will be in Indonesia from May 27ish and not be returning to Henderson until Mid-August. This leaves two of our bedrooms fully furnished and available for poker players, or dealers, that are coming to town for the world series and need a place to stay. The Kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms are protected by gates so that Hubie cannot go into those areas without supervision. Hubie has free reign in the Living room and a decent-sized backyard whenever he is not left alone (crated).

I am a 53-year old man (very young for my age) who runs a reselling business with my wife (which we will mostly be shutting down for the summer) and I also play poker (1/2 PLO with 5 bring-in and 5/5 PLO with mandatory straddle/rock) 20-30 hours per week and, I also drive for UBER 20 hours per week. I plan on playing PLO more like 40-50 hours per week during the World Series as the games are never better than in June and Early July in Vegas.

I am searching for someone to fill one of my empty bedrooms. I am primarily looking for someone to help keep my super-loving dog company this summer, as my wife and son will not be here (as I have said).

Here are some amenities that my house offers:

I have a basic home gym in the backyard (Bowflex PR-1000, dumbells, resistance bands and bench) for you to use.

The housing complex has a small pool/jacuzzi that you will have access to.

We have a washer/dryer and you can use my laundry detergent.

Reliable street parking

Strong home Internet

Fully equipped Kitchen with Blender, Juicer, and Microwave


Here is what you will NOT be asked to do regarding Hubie (and otherwise):

1 - Feed Hubie. I will make sure to be home at 8 am and 8 pm every day for two feedings.

2 - Walk Hubie. I will also take Hubie for two LONG walks after each feeding.

3 - Pick up any excrement.

4 - Clean the common areas. I will ask you to keep your stuff in your room, but I will vacuum and put away the dishes daily.


Here is what I will be asking you to do regarding Hubie (and otherwise):

1 - Put Hubie in his crate if you are the last roommate to leave (leaving Hubie alone). The fridge will be stocked with fresh beef bones which will provide you with a hassle-free method for getting Hubie in his crate.

2- Let Hubie outside in our fully-fenced backyard whenever it is convenient for you. I will pick up any #2s that occur in the yard - not your concern.

3- Let Hubie out of his crate whenever you are the first roommate to come home post crating.

4 - Pet Hubie on the Living room couch whenever you have a free 10-minutes. The couch is super comfortable and reclines mechanically. There is a 60in smart TV in full view from the couch with a Netflix subscription at your disposal.

4 - Rinse your dishes and put them in the dishwasher or, better yet, use paper plates (I will provide paper plates)

5 - You may be sharing a bathroom with one other person. Either way, keep the bathroom civilized. I will go in there and clean every 10 days or so, but it should be maintained like adults in the interim.

6 - Do not leave any personal items in the living room when you are home and Hubie is chilling. Hubie is about 1-year-old (he is a rescue, so that is the best guess), so he still has some chewing issues. Just keep all your stuff in your room unless you can be there to watch it.

In exchange for this help, I am offering a below-market rate for the sublet. I am asking $1200 (cash up front) for 2 months ($600/month), May 28 (flexible), until as late as July 28th (very flexible), for a small, furnished private bedroom and that will include all utilities. There is a minimum one-month stay required with a $1000 charge for the shortest stay of one month, $1100 for a stay of 5 weeks, and $1200 for any length of stay 6 weeks or more - up to the maximum of 2 months. If you fulfill your duties as a friend to Hubie during those two months, I will refund you at least $200 when we say our goodbyes. If I crush the PLO games all summer, I will refund a bit more, but I will commit to refunding at least $200 to any roommate that fulfills their dog-loving duties. If you are staying for less than 2 months (one month is the minimum required by law in these parts), then I will still refund you $200 if you help me out with the pooch.

I am 100% looking to fill one bedroom ASAP. If I find 2 people that are great fits for this situation, I will fill both bedrooms with one subletter in each empty private bedroom. Right now, I am just looking to lock in one person for starters. No cig smoking. Discreet 420 is fine.

How would you get from your house to Ballys for example without a car? Will you be driving in everyday?
