I have a 41' sailboat docked @ lattitude 18 marina in Redhook St. Thomas.

The boat has 2 staterooms (1 queen, 1 king) salon, full galley (fridge/freezer, gas stove & microwave) & nice cockpit for hanging out.

The boat also has a 22" flat screen monitor in the salon as well as a 19" monitor mounted over the bed in the master stateroom.

there is reliable wireless internet access or aircards work well.

The marina has a cool "local" bar resaurant @ the end of the dock w/ live music every night, inexpensive food & plenty of ladies passing through to hit on.

There is a beach you can walk to in less than 1 minute. Redhook has many restaurants, mail service, grocery store, etc. & is about a 5-10 minute walk.

I am looking to rent the boat for up to 6 mos. (through the end of June) to no more than 2 people. It is an ideal situation for someone who plays online & wants to get away for the winter.

You will not be allowed to actually take the boat out sailing or leave the dock. The offer is for a cool place to live for the winter.

terms are negotiable. I am looking for 1k per month. that includes dockage, water & electricity.

Internet will be your responsibility via aircard or local wireless ($40 per month - i think).

the boat is fully furnished, sheets, towels, dishes, cookware, etc..

The boat can be available immediately.

Simply put your laptop, a couple pairs of shorts, t-shirts & flip flops in a backpack & your set.

US dollar. it is a US territory.

grocery prices are a little higher than stateside. I don't really think eating out is that much different. $10-$12 for a hamburger & fries in a sit down restaurant $25 -$30 for a really nice meal. $2-$4 for a beer or mixed drink in a bar. $8 for a 1.75l of really good rum.

I haven't been scuba diving in a long time so i can't really say, but i would say that tourist activities here are similar in price to any where else (besides 3rd world places).

This is pretty interesting. I got married on St. Johns, my wife and I liked the place so much.

It is effin' expensive to eat in the Virgins though. Hell with that, everything's expensive.

Perfect for a couple young grinders though. Are aircards fast enough to massively multitable?

seriously?

it is the virgin islands where it is always warm & sunny. the boat is in a marina w/ an open air bar that has live music. the beach is 100 yards away. the place always has tourist girls & also quite a few girls who come down to work for the winter, as well as traveling nurses.

scuba diving, windsurfing, kitesurfing, fishing, crystal clear water, lots of other islands, etc..

i guess there is no point lol.

I'm pretty interested in this and have been talking with de captain, but I have not yet found a roommate. Let me or de captain know if you'd be interested. I'm assuming this is fine with de captain, but if you think you might be interested in just staying for a month or so let me know. If you play micro or small-stakes NL I'd even coach you some. If you play MSNL+ my coaching probably wouldn't be valuable to you.

Is this offer still available?

If not for this year, will it be available in the future?

I'm considering a liveaboard lifestyle in the Caribbean. I don't mind not taking the boat out. I'll be renewing my sailing skills at a local school. I just want to see if I can handle the motion at night.

I've been living on this boat for the past 6 months. I'm moving on Tuesday. As far as I know de captain is coming back to live here, but you'll have PM him to see what his final plans are.

And of course if it is available feel free to ask me anything about it.

Is 41 foot big enough so that there isn't a lot of pitch and roll? Or do you just get used to it? Didn't you really really really want to take it out sailing?

It rocks a little but it's not so bad. Maybe took me a week to get used it, and now I honestly kinda like it. A lot of days are calm and you wouldn't even know you're on a boat. The only time it feels like you're about to break from the dock and float out to sea are when the a-hole ferry drivers who leave from across the harbor don't keep their wake down.

Haha well, yeah, but it would've been colossally dumb (for me). If I took it out I'd say there's a ~5% chance I actually make it back without doing damage to something.

I did get to do some sailing with other people while here, just enough to get bit by the sailing bug.
