Two of my best friends live in Fort Lauderdale and they love it. My current roommate is trying to move down there and he actually has a job interview in Miami soon (we live in Memphis, TN). So if he moves down there I might go as well. Although if I do end up moving, it would certainly be after the WSOP. PM me if you want.

MVP I would really recommend that your friend does not live in Ft. Lauderdale if he has a job in Miami, unless he's OK with enduring the commute.

South Florida traffic will make you want to stab your eyes out every single day. Strongly recommend against it.

I am visiting a friend in Ft. Lauderdale right now. Its a sick city with a pretty sweet bar/club scene, and its probably 2/3 as baller as Miami at 1/4 the price. So unless u either have a job in Miami or are some baller 10/20 reg who owns benz or a lambo, ft. lauderdale would prolly be your best bet

I second Tampa,St Pete, Clearwater area, also known as the gulfcoast.
Great weather low cost of living.
Ft Desoto beach, Clearwater Beach, St Pete Beach, three live action card rooms within a 15 min drive, including the Hard Rock in Tampa. if you are 24 and looking for nightlife there is Ybor city, The channel side district and downtown St Pete now has at least four decent ultra lounges......For Godsakes the Hooters restaurant chain was started here, not to mention Tampa is the strip club capital of the south, thanks to the Mons Venus, where lap dancing is a full contact sport.

Can definitely recommend tampa / st pete if you're okay w/ the gulf instead of the ocean.

And ft. lauderdale is nice as well as long as you're living on the right side.

My old man moved to Clearwater after he turned 75 and stopped wanting to endure cold weather. In his first letter to me he told me he wished he had done it about 55 years earlier. I have since visited and can confirm the old man is correct. Amazing area.

Obv new here but going to West Palm for the summer leaving as soon as finals are over. Have a house with cousins. But may be staying there depending on how summer goes and living with a bunch of people i know irl.

Mostly MTT players but once I get my PM privileges I can send you more info and stay in contact over summer. Won't know about poker house until after WSOP since most of them are playing.

Check out Fort Myers. I just came back from there and didn't really wanna leave. It seemed like there were plenty of things to do and pretty decent night life, sweet beach, great golf courses, tons of **** to do, cheap prices for pretty much everything too.
The beaches were amazing, though it was spring break and loaded with groups of girls so that probably isn't how it is allll the time but I can't imagine it being too bad in the offseason.

ok, so im just gonna stay in athens until after event #3 of the wsop, then im going to move my **** to my moms for a few weeks and go on phish tour (late june-early july). after phish is over, ill be dying to get out of my moms and on to florida, so lets try to move in around july 15th. im going to start looking at houses/areas today. feel free to join in. my aim is phishinthehood if you want to talk on there
