So I got a bunch of gift cards and computer stuff for xmas, but since I just built up a new computer, I dont really have a use for any of it, so instead of it losing value or trying to sell individual stuff, I thought id see if I could just sell a whole build.

i5 3570K cpu
asrock Z77 extreme 4 motherboard
samsung 840 120GB SSD drive
WD caviar black 1TB internal HDD
corsair 600W 80 plus bronze PSU
8GB corsair DDR3 1600 CL9 RAM
corsair carbide 300R case
cooler master cpu cooler

Asking $750

Theres no graphics card as you dont need one for pokering, but if you want to do gaming I could add one. Same thing if youd like it to come pre installed with windows and any software you use. Can also change up some of the components if youd like as I havent actually put it together yet as lots of it is in giftcards.

Im in Denver, CO, so theres also shipping to consider.

so yeah, PM me or whatever if you have any interest or questions. thanks

Is there like a lehman's term explanation for how "good" of a computer this is for someone who knows very little about computers? Anything I could look up that it's comparable to? Could it easily multi-table/site and run pt4, itunes, etc? without lag?

It's "very good". It's pretty much the best i5 available, quad core, w/ SSD. Multitabling and databasing will be fine.

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being what you need to grind perfectly smoothly and run your HUD + other programs... this is like a 20. Well past the point of having to worry about simpler programs like poker, etc.

The processor just came out in May and is the standard high-end-but-not-insane CPU of the moment, that SSD just released a couple months ago. No ghetto no-name components like in what you find at the store. SSD is one of the newest on the market + you get a storage drive. Doesn't really want for anything unless you want to do gaming but like he said, you'd just buy a video card and plug it in, easy/done. You have the power supply and right case for the job already in place.

$750 would be about what the parts would cost at regular price, so a fair price imo if he has to do the assembly. If you don't want to **** with anything yourself then I'd negotiate in the Windows 8 Pro upgrade offer, costs about $40, have him get all that working and set up for you.

yeah guess I should have added how it rates performance wise. Like Gonso said, its pretty much top of the line for poker grinding, you arent going to get your poker stuff or HM2 or PT4 to run any faster. And if you want to game, all you need is a card and depending on what card you get, you are running games at near max speeds.

Im also not really making much on the sale, mostly just converting some GC to cash, and I enjoy building comps, so I get fun EV, heh.

Shipping is obviously the bitch, since I expect most people in the market for a grind comp arent from the states and most PC gamers are DIYers, but I figured id test the waters anyway

If for some reason no one jumps at it and you want to piece it out I'd be interested.

I have some of the parts already, but was looking at the same CPU and motherboard. Would probably take those + PSU if you need to piece and would ship to NY. Might as well do a win-win here then buy from newegg.

+1 to piecing it out, if you get to that point.

Alobar asked me to vouch for him ITT.

A couple years ago, we made a $1500 prop bet. We bet without escrow and without knowing each other previously (except for online reputations or whatever). He lost and paid with no issues.

See this thread if you're curious: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/34...e-hour-789386/ .

Check builds that fit your budget in the lower right corner. There are some really good builds on there depending on what you want to do/spend.

Noob question but will determine my interest...can you run multiple monitors without a graphics card? High resolution monitors without a graphics card?

Thanks. Rest of the build seems really suitable to what I want.
