Just want everyones thoughts on an idea about making transactions with low post counts selling

Why dont we have a sticky at the top with well known and honest members who would be willing to escrow with low post counts selling!

I have seen a few people being ripped off and it would make the mods job easier aswell cause they do a thankless job on here

Like i said it's just an idea so just let me know your thoughts or if you have another idea please post it

OBV don't want to give examples ITT, But this whole marketplace deal is just unsafe, only thing I would sell on here would be FTP's.

How long would someone have to be a forum member before they can participate in the marketplace? I signed up recently and was looking to buy ftp's and sell my $26 tourney tokens, but I understand why people wouldn't want to do these kinds of deals with strangers. My 2nd question.. if I were to send my $$$ or tokens first, would members be willing to make an exchange? Using a 3rd party sounds like a good idea, but that could be a huge pain if they are responsible for a bunch of transactions every day. thanks

Not really but it's only a very small percent of long trusted members of the forum who have ripped people off

Plus what if a very honest guy as just signed up and wants to sell something but gets denied from posting on here it works both ways

You cant sell tokens but if you wanted to buy ft points and 2 people was selling them say 1 as been a member for 3 years and everyone knows him or the other as been a member for like 3 months who would you buy off?

It will just make things go smother on here and stop people try to scam

excellent example of people who spend way to much time on the internet and out of reality, my writing is called sarcasim.

I think one of the mods should become an escrow and charge a fee to make it worth while, it would eliminate almost all the scams on 2p2

Does this long explanation ^^^ trying to say you cant prove whether shipment is recieved, in the UK we have recorded post, that means that the other party has to sign to confirm they recieved the good, then you have proof of reciept, surely the US postal service has something similiar?

Ok, Lets say (1) Shipped him a box with 2-3 encyclopedias that totaled the weight of the PS3. Guy (2) signed that really cool gizmo thing UPS guis carry around that you can never sign right because the ****ing box is to small and it makes your signature you had been working on for hours and hours so you wouldn't **** up your 1 and only shot like the last time again look like chicken scratch....Or something like this IDK it's early/late morning and don't really feel like explaining it since I doubt any mod would be dumb enough to do this...

Yeah, I definitely want nothing to do with being an escrow. I posted in the Mod forum a few months ago to see if anyone else would be, and no one was.

I wasn't real interested before, and I'm even less so now that we find that money shipped is sometimes not real money - referring to Stars fraudulent money scams.

Yeah, didn't want to mention this because of how easy it is to rip people off this way, so if I was selling something on here I probably wouldn't take PStars money from people who registered withing the last couple of months.

Being a paintball player and being a part of one of the largest online Buy/Sell/Trade forums www.pbnation.com before they changed to their new ebay style feedback. Users would make their own thread in a feedback section of the forum. When they sold something the buyer and seller would both post in the others feedback thread.

It was easy for people to see if people were legit or not.

Also if both parties don't have good enough reputations get a good reputation to 3rd party it.
