Have had these for a few months and got them for those long tourney grinds. I havent used them hardly at all, so figured someone else could take advantage of them. They are limited edition and you can no longer buy these from Best Buy or anywhere else new that I am aware of.

Do these require batteries?

No sir, which means they do not have an extra noise cancelling feature.

But I have owned both these and the Bose QC-15 Headphones that require the batteries and I think the Beats cancel the noice just as well. You can not hear anyone talking or side noise while listening to music even at ~1/4-1/2 Volume.

How do these compare to the smaller dres?

Back when I got them all they had was the Beats that were like $199 and the Pros for headphones....so that was the biggest thing. The pros have a strong and sturdy metal frame compared to cheap plastic that would break if you sat on them. They recently came out with a whole new line of Beats, but most of which are plastic and cheap feeling in your hands IMO.

I would say that is the biggest thing overall, but you can also see from the pictures you are able to pivot either ear so if your in a situation where you still want to listen but want to hear at that time you can easily do so.

I'm not sure if there is an actual difference in sound quality, but I feel that it does sound better overall because its a more comfortable and complete fit over your ears.

I have I think the studios the ones that don't have batteries just trying to see if there is a big difference

Also appears on some reviews online there is a difference in sound quality, since the Pros were made for DJs originally.

No I will not beat or come close to that price. Like 99% of the Beats on Ebay are fakes. They look originally packaged and look real, but they are fake. Do a simple search and im sure you can find plenty of things on fake ones being sold.

Plus that Ebay person only has 1 Feedback as a seller which was 2 days ago, and account was created 2 months ago which would give even more reason for them to be fake.

All the positive feedback they recieved as a buyer was on products that were <$1 and not real items as well.

If you look at the picture it even looks like its the shrinkwrap was put on poorly compared to how they are packaged at Best Buy, Frys and other stores

yeah do not buy that ebay guy's headphones. his positive feedback is from stuff he bought that was <$1, which obv means he's just trying to build up a good rep as cheaply as possible to be able to do some scamming.

that said, it's definitely not as extreme as 99% of them are fakes. just be smart and buy from trusted sellers. i bought some very lightly used beats off ebay a month ago for 1/2 of retail and it all worked out fine

There's entire networks of those eBay guys selling stuff for 1 cent just to get the shill feedback from each other. Cooking recipes 100% zero chance. There was a guy a few days ago selling mass amounts of tablets super cheap, $25 netbooks, all kinds of too good to be true deals. Actually took the time to report him because he had two dozen auctions with hundreds of items each and people were buying!

I have the regular pros ($399 retail) and can tell you a couple of the differences between other headphones.

For that pricepoint the Pros are about the best sounding headphones I've listened to. Everyone who tries mine is amazed at them. They sound better than the Studio line, they sound better than Bose QC1.5s.

Some cons: The spring steel used to make the headband is extremely strong and after an hour or so hurts my head a little bit. Regarding noise cancelling, the Pros lack this as opposed to the Studio line or Bose QC lines.
OP is 100% accurate that the headphones are so powerful you won't hear a thing outside of them anyway EXCEPT if you want to use them on an airplane. Whereas true noise cancel technology can mostly overcome the high frequency noise of jet engines these "on ear speakers" cannot. You will still be able to make out some noise with them on.

I didn't see what you were asking for them but the all black looks sick. I wouldnt have paid $100 extra but if I was buying a new pair now I'd buy your used ones for $400ish instead of new silver ones for same price. Gluck.
