This is a long shot, but is anyone in the Boston area in the market for a performance desktop? I figure I'll give the marketplace a shot before I put it on craigslist. I'm willing to sell this at a quite a big discount from market price.

Specs:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400
2x 2GB DDR2 800 RAM
1.5TB HDD + 160GB HDD
Nvidia 8800GTS
Motherboard cost $125+. I don't remember the exact model but I can find it if you're interested.

Accessories:
Samsung 23 inch 1080p monitor
Premium Microsoft Wireless Mouse and Keyboard
Logitech z-5300 premium 5.1 speakers

I would prefer to sell this as a package, though I will entertain offers for the tower only. The only accessory I will sell separately are the speakers.

Shipping is obviously problematic due to the size and weight of this item. I would prefer if you picked it up, but I can deliver within a 30 minute drive for a small fee.

How much are you looking to get for the whole package?

I haven't really decided yet, but any reasonable offer capable of picking up will take it.

Monitor: $200

Other stuff that newegg doesn't sell anymore, conservatively valued:
Motherboard: Let's say $50-75 with depreciation
GPU: ~$40-50 on ebay
Power supply, DVD drive, heat sink, and others: $50++
Speakers: Can't find the price anywhere, but probably at least $50-75 on craigslist

I'm willing to go quite a bit lower than market value for 2+2 members, but nothing unreasonable.

How much for only the tower?

I'm thinking like $500 for the tower or $650 for everything?

Obviously the accessories are worth a lot more than $150, but I'm mostly offering the large discount to get everything off my hands quickly without having to resort to craigslist.

I don't know the exact models, but I purchased them for ~$40 each so they're not premium ones, but they do the job.

Dropping the price to $600 for everything or $475 or the tower. Amazing deal for anyone in the market for a desktop.

I may be interested in the monitor if you end up being stuck with it.

I'd be happy to sell you the monitor if someone buys the tower alone, but probably not before it. Worst case scenario I'll keep it as a spare computer.



Edit: I'm open to shipping it, but expect to pay significant shipping costs. Preferably I'd take it to a UPS store where professionals can pack it to make sure it'll be safe on arrival.
