I am looking to sell my Macbook. I've had it for under 2 years and have hardly used it since I have two of the same laptop. I gave it as a gift to an ex and when we split she gave it back. She only used it for a few months, and very rarely used it (maybe once or twice a week). Overall there's just almost no wear at all on it. It looks brand new, it's in very good condition and runs perfectly.

I am currently located in Vancouver, but I have a BOA account which I can receive funds on. I can also take cash in Vancouver, Western Union, or FTP/PS+5% as I'd have to pay vig to swap it off.

They no longer produce 17in MB Pros anymore so these are quite valuable especially in great condition like this one is in. I would definitely not be selling this if I didn't already have another. I also recently got my wallet stolen with my cards in it and cash, so I am without much money here in Vancouver until BOA ships me a new card in 3-5 business days. I'd really like to get it sold within the next couple days, but I'm not going to entertain any ridiculous lowball offers. I have no problem waiting a while to sell it.

Here are all the stats and everything. I had it hooked up to a 30 inch monitor without any issues. I also paid to upgrade a few things when I got it, it has th anti glare screen and everything.

The exact same model and exact year is going for around 2k on the mac store, so I would entertain all offers above 1450

This is going to be sold to noseeds99 unless something falls through. The thread can be left open until I ship it out on Monday so he can confirm etc.

I was two days late shipping this and I apologize for that. I decided to cover a large portion of the shipping fees, and ship express international instead of standard to make up for the delay. noseeds99 sent the money on time and although there was a processing time that both of us did not expect, he was great to deal with and everything went smooth beside for my delay. I would definitely deal with him again! Enjoy the laptop.

Well I made a couple of posts awhile ago questioning weather CompleteDonk was scamming me or more than likely just super lazy. After that I had a mod delete them because Completedonk assured me he was just super sick. Today I see this thread http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/29...ammer-1406093/

I still have not received the laptop yet but the fault is not 100% completedonk's.

I paid him right away and it took him awhile to send it (I think like 10 days iirc, he said he was really sick and making trips to the hospital or something). Eventually he sent a package that weighs 5 lbs but didn't fill out some sort of necessary customs form that fedex required (he was sending from canada to USA). This lead to fedex holding the package until the form was filled out and sent to them.

The timing of this was unfortunate because I was in Hawaii for Thanksgiving with family, and didn't have the time to deal with why the package was being held up in customs. When I returned I had my mother call fedex and the service rep told her that they would send the package despite the form having not been filled out. This was a lie and created confusion since I told CD this news and it took another week or so before I figured out the fedex rep lied (on top of making a snarky remark to my mother) On top of that, my parents sold their house waaaaay faster than anyone expected so the address that CD sent the laptop to was no longer good. Our new plan was to have it returned to his canadian address and resend it to a new address.

Fedex has been really terrible in service as well, in the last 2 weeks I have called them 3 times requesting the package be returned and each time they tell me it is, give me a number, but it remains in customs.

I'm not sure if I'm being scammed here and the only thing I can say is that CD has been really hard to get in touch with (slow to answer pms at times, didnt answer me on skype ~2weeks after I sent him $1450, and completely ignored 3 or 4 texts I sent him while I was in the USA Xmas-new years)

Hopefully this gets resolved but in light of the new thread I wanted to update my negative experience so far.

Again, the fault is partly mine, partly his and partly fedex (how did they let him mail something internationally without making sure he had the proper forms filled out in the first place?)

cheers,
Reed

I'm confident in the fact that CD is not scamming you. He has no reason to ruin a flawless rep over an amount this small. Seems like a case of lazy poker player / ****ty courier.

Just saw NVG thread and I retract my statement. Seems he couldn't care less about his rep anymore. Shame cause I've had interactions w him in the past and he was nothing but pleasurable. Gl Reed

This is sick! Could of saved a lot of people tens of thousands of $ if those posts were still here.

I doubt it. The posts in question weren't even that bad.

I assumed he was just your typical worthless in any real life situation poker player and had neglected to find a whole hour out of the insanely busy lifestyle that is professional poker to ship the computer.

lol does that include apples packaging?

from fedex site 5 lbs / 2.3 kgs

If there is 1 good thing to come out of this it is that I've learned how terrible fedex is. Just called them again got to talk to someone at least semi higher up.

New information is that it is waiting in customs to be cleared to return back to Canada. There is nothing that I or fedex can do to expedite this process and the fedex guy told me this step is usually really quick. It has been 10 days since I told them to return it.

No, that weight would be be the computer only. I'm gussing Fedex will atleast report package weight with decent accuracy on their website. I'm guessing he sent you a weight in the mail without a customs form so he could sell the computer on craigslist or something and stall for time.

Wonder if there is anyone in Canada to resend it to you? Did he have roommates that can complete this sale for you?

Update,

Received the laptop today.

I haven't seen it yet, my dad said the screen is semi cracked which I assume is Fedex fault anyway since it was sitting in some customs room for 2 months. He also told me its not that big of a deal and doesn't effect the resolution/picture or whatever the techno lingo is.

Tomorrow I will confirm if it is the right model after the weight differences mentioned earlier.

Final update:

It does have a crack running down the side. It is not that noticeable straight on but from the sides it is obvious. Doesn't effect the picture so whatever. This could have easily been caused from the 2 months fed ex had it as well.

The hard drive was shot which I'm sure completedonk knew about so that was pretty annoying buying/replacing/reformatting new OS (especially since I have no idea what I'm doing out here, had to have a friend do that for me)

It is the advertised model though so all in all I am happy as I thought I was getting nothing for some time.

cheers
