Session 8 Report
Last session before xmas is now over, as I'm not going to play later, dont want to ruin my xmas and I was getting wound up by the end of this sesh. Started well, shipped a 180 but then the trend of always giving it back and not heatering occured.
So stopping 3hours earlier and just gonna wrap presents & watch an xmas film otherwise I'll probably just donate.
So a break till like the 28th or 29th now then I'll be on the grizzay grind again.
Strat wise I've changed from iso'ing so much at about t30 and t50 to limping behind with hands like KJ and KQ, I think this works better as raising just folds out the worse hands and keeps in the limp called AJ and then I valutown myself.
Also added a 4th stat to my hud, 'limp called', this should help me for when I'm being trapped and knowing who I can just steal from by shoving over their limps.

just started fireing up tables about an hour ago n now my uncle calls me and asks me to go get a beer amd i try to push it off and he gives me the old " o i call you all the time and you never answer, lets go have a beer blah blah blah" so now im tryin to fnish up the set i have goin, get a fast beer n come back...we ll see how that goes....ne ways have a nice holiday man

Good to see that you're back in profit I've also been wondering if I have leaks in the 9-mans I play. I'm sure that I am a winner at them, but I feel that I am also probably shoving too wide. I've cut back on my shoves since I started playing them, but I still feel that I may be too wide. I also grind the 90 KOs, which have realllllllllly wide shoves in it (being turbo + ante's, etc...) Curious what your plans on to figure out optimal shoving range for the 45s? I might also look in to playing those too from time-to-time depending on how late they load.

hey, nice to see you're back in the green. You were at a couple of my tables today. You're the first guy i gave the 'very good reg' color lol. Just had a question, do you also have this bug sometimes that when you bust out of a tournament the table doesnt really close. I dont know, sometimes i find myself on a table with someone else on my seat and when i manually leave the table it says 'Are you sure you want to leave, this will fold your hand etc.."

also wanted to ask; whats your general strategy in the 3r/180s concering rebuys. Im assuming you rebuy in the first hand. Do you have a max rebuy rule and always take the addon? is 300buyins enough to play these?

Yeah its really annoying when that happens, I've tried to let my friends know that I need to know by mid-day at the latest if there are any plans for the night and most understand now, but theres still times I'll get a phonecall at 5pm saying 'hey you coming for beers and cinema' and I'm playing mtts and can't go out with them. Though 180s arent such a big problem as wait out the 90mins at most and meet them late

Well this something I've been thinking about whilst I've not been able to play poker over last few days, and my plan is to use sngwiz a lot more over next few weeks. I posted a hand where I shipped 12bbs with A2os with 8 left in a 45man in the 45man thread in mttc to see if it was an autoshove, and whilst some (including me) thought it was standard with antes, it appears it was -ev and by a fair bit if they're calling 10%+ which they're probably calling looser than. So this is something that I have to work on, I've probably let my ego get to me and presumed i was a bigger winner than I was, when my time out from playing 45s and 180s has affected me, I'm so used to being able to ship super wide and abuse people deep in mtts that its subconciously affecting my decisions.
So basically - I'm shoving too wide and need to sngwiz more!

I've never had that bug fwiw, maybe its a problem with a tableninja.

This is the main question i had myself, I've not had great results in the 3rs yet, and have decided that I'm just going to treat them as a 1r1a for the sake of record keeping and so i dont go crazy and end up being in for 30 which has happened in the past etc. The tighter you are in regards to rebuys i think the lower amount of buyins you have.
Whilst buying in for unlimited rebuys may improve your ev it will increase variance i think, so a compromise has to be found.

Well probs tomorrow, I go home from Leeds at like 8pm tomorrow, so might not grind till Weds. Cant wait to be back in my own house, I love my family but need my space. And laptops are the worst imo!

Downswing is really taking its toll on me. So drained mentally. Dont know if I'm playing really bad, variance or what.

Not sure where I'm going from here in terms of when I'm playing and how much. May take a few days off till after new year if I'm not feeling it, as currently its rly affecting me when I play.
I'm not a robot like some of these pro's, I'm a fool that does get emotionally affected by beats.

I will complete this challenge though, then look back and laugh.
