Update On The Situation

back zooooming around on stars never took eh:P
down 150usd on GG this month but still have a RB spin that could get me Break even for the month when i reach the spin al update here then thats me done with Gg for a bit

getting back to playing zoom i wasnt sure what to expect mentally I had a block with zoom where i really couldnt be arsed with it but having a little break done wonders really enjoying the format and the convince of zoom again

only played a couple days 50/100z mainly focusing on 100z from here on out not sure what the volume will be for the next few days got a bunch of training videos i want to watch but will be going for 3k hands a day over the weekend hopefully get 50k+ hands by the end of the month

i didnt mind GG apart from the waiting around for tables in the morning alot of my grind is done early doors so kind of tilting and just needed a break from zooom might get back on GG at some point also theres so many short stack fish and a few regs which i dont like manipulates the game in a very boring waypoint

been running bad for a while now hopefully it doesn't last to much longer
saying that going to drop down to 50 and grind some volume prob play 4 tables and not check results for a while and will update when i check

down 1600 over my last 100k hands which feels like forever but 1k lost at 200z so not bad only about -10 buyings with all stakes combined

since my last update been playing 50z mainly 4b tabling hasn't well
getting crushed most session insane how my sessions are going
mental game and confidence at an all-time low will update some time next month going to stop looking at results again

the goal is to be back at a 100z before the xmas period and hopefully try out some 200z when the games are super soft around the holiday period

Didn't read entire thread but couple questions,
How come no 200z after such a big 100z sample? I assume you're cashing out but imo you wanna establish at 200 asap given the rake decrease
115k hand Breakeven stretch, how was it mentally dealing with that when reflecting on the total sample?

ive had to cash multiple times way before me starting this thread and in previous databases and yeah your right about trying to get to 200z i tend to take a more nitty BRM when moving up the stakes

when going through break even or downswings i think everyone handles them differently.
I don't tilt in the sense of spewing and burning money i start to get some sort of mental block. Decisions that on paper are simple and come second nature when winning become difficult and im unsure on what to do with a simple cbet spot.
Then entitlement tilt I shouldn't be losing all the time because I'm better than a lot of the players in my pool etc then my confidence goes and don't want to play and a lot of adrenaline comes with this when playing because I'm paranoid everyone has the nuts and praying i hold/ get there when a standard flip occurs


sorry for the rant lol but yeah i wish i didn't go through this but i do i can only try and improve and handle it better the next time around

saying that im taking close to the end of the month of to study
plan is to study 6 hours minimum for 8/10 days in a row then get back to the tables start nice and thresh


study will consist of

1.Pio - going to take a few spots daily and run multiple sims for example SB v btn 3bet and run different flops with the same ranges

2.Training videos - i have a library with 100s of videos at least 2 aday

3.Running filters in my database

4. Ask friends if i can sweat them

will update after my study grind ends

i forgot to mention ive started a new meditation course to help with a better mindset on and of the tables need to stick with it as i end up giving up / getting lazy with it

since my last update, i have been studying hard and got back on grind (3 small sessions) Saturday and today and feeling alot better about my game + my mental game is on point. having taking the extended break made me realize how lazy i had become at the tables when it came to focusing on the action bluff catching, thin value bets, rasing etc.. generally not paying enough attention going to try my best and improve on this and not let it slip again

ive decided to update this thread every 25/30k hands instead of a couple times during the month and a end of month update think it will better

plan is to 3 table 50z and study daily
study wise wont be as intense as it was this week but running a few pio sims a day and reviewing a bunch of hands wont take long about 1hour minimum aday <<< no excuse for this because that's what i have a bunch of is time

hopefully back at a 100 within a couple of weeks

thinking of playing some wcoop next month too but only one event looks appealing the 3 max zoom format
ran super deep last year 6th in the 55 dollar one hopefully can close it out this year (onetime!)

yeah the mental game of poker is underrated imo people bury the tilt until it passes (when the downswing ends or even a few bad beats in a session) and it never gets fixed or worked on and it becomes a vicious cycle if improved it could defo add a bb or two to peoples winrate
