What is your twitch username?

Yeh the mic is crap I know... my buddies say it is fine on Skype, not sure why OBS picks up so much background noise

Glad you enjoyed, and even more so that you didn't go deaf throughout

lol It was getting better after you put the headset more closer or whatever you said, so was enjoyable for sure. GL going forward and shotting 200z when that time comes, you are def a solid player.

I'm just lurking twitch and hidden atm, but might drop by and say hi next time

Re: ZOOOOOM v2

200z shot did not go well . I was going to throw 4bi's at it but quit at early at 3 as the games got super reg infested and I didn't feel like my WR would be anything more than 1bb, if that.

I felt a bit outclassed by some of the regs there without a doubt, but as a result, the motivation to "get there" has risen through the roof! Time to work harder than ever on my game to establish myself at 200z permanently

500 hands is quite a low sample to say that, you know?
There's also variance when it comes to getting to play bad players in a pool.

IIRC the pool was just 60 players at the time, so 500 hands was a decent enough sample to give me an indication of how I'd do. Obv nothing concrete tho

Thanks, man xD

Btw, a good way to move up is to go on the days of the week that are softer, like on friday nights. For the first weeks you play at a higher stake only during fridays/saturdays. If you're beating a stake during the week, chances are that you will beat the next level during the weekend.

Also play only 1 table when moving up, and avoid doing what you did, like joining during times that there are only regs battling. Even though you probably aren't losing as much as you think, by playing during tough times, in average your winrate will be lower and it will affect your mental game if you end up having a losing session(which is more likely with a lower winrate)

yeh I am currently in a mini downswing so any 200z shotting won't be happening until I grind it back, plus I am 90% sure I'm gonna be investing into a new PC for PIO so I can actually run more than 1 sim an hour lol.

ofc playing vs regs will have lower wr's :P

Not sure why some people can see it and others can't... I'll use gyazo moving forward as that should work for everyone and it's easy

Haven't played with you so idk what it's like, but the call down is very very standard, even if I have the A (and I didn't) according to PIO. FWIW I think your peel pre is gonna be slightly losing vs a 3x rfi. I can understand directly connecting hands, but offsuit 1gappers vs EP ranges isn't gonna make it IMO

Hi, Clanty
Graphs aren't working for me either, unfortunately
Played some with you for the last month or so. Think we have different grind schedules or smthin. My SN is kuuuukk. Only real clash we had was I calling of ur 3x overbet on the river with 4th pair or smthing when u had trips :P

Read through a part of ur blog here and noticed u felt like u should be winning at 5bb/100 ev at 100, and I'm pretty sure that you're a +5bb/100 winner at 100z. Atleast in most of the pools. My ev at 100z is 8bb/100 for this year. And for the short time we've played together I actually feel like you're a better player then me, so wouldn't be surprised if your true winrate is somewhere near 10 bb/100.

Anyways, gl in ur quest and may we have many interesting battles in the future

im calling 2 ton win 7.50 so i think i can be sooooooooooper wide, specially if it means i can raise and barrel for stacks when i hit 2pair+ and draws. openeer was prob weak not sure tho.

What's up man!

Yep I recognise you from 100z .

8bb is pretty sick man congrats, you are prob 1 of 5 guys (at most) who can maintain that at 100, so wp!!

Haha, why do you think that I'm playing better? We haven't tangled much apart from that one hand we had with the big overbet on River. If you really think that I am a 10bb winner then thank you very much! That honestly means a lot to me, but I would be very surprised if it was true. So far I'm around 4bb over ~70k hands and running pretty bad IMO.

Best of luck and see you in the streets!

Hmm... I asked a friend who plays higher and he doesn't like it either. I think it's going to be ok vs 2.5x rfi, but still not amazing, and 3x rfi I would just default fold. Either way it's only gonna be losing/winning a fraction of a BB. GL.

Quick update:

1. Graphs:
Some people cannot see the graphs, so I'll post all relevant ones below:
(All graphs are YTD)

25z:

50z:

100z:

YTD:

2. New PC build for PIO:
I haven't bought it yet but I am very close to doing so. Specs below. Can anyone who knows what they're talking about give me an idea of whether this will be good? Ty!

3. April thus far:

Pretty swingy but good volume for me. All two tabled bar the odd 3 table session thrown in, and I've had 3-4 days off, too. However, the increased volume has come at a cost of less studying. I need to find a way to hit my target volume goals as well as my study goals. In lamens: I just need to work harder, no excuses!!

When I bought a build a few years back, I posted what I wanted on Toms Hardware forum. I got a few responses back which were super helpful.

Very nice graphs!

Computer setup looks beastmode, but I think you'd want a bigger power supply? Not really sure how much those components will use, but I'd wait to purchase and get some opinions on it from someone who knows that stuff.

Re: ZOOOOOM v2

Some pointers:

- Ryzen 1700x is much better bang for your buck than that old Broadwell chip.
- The cooler is not sufficient. Get the Noctua NH-D15, it's magnificent and not that expensive.
- Can't have a computer like that without a decent SSD drive
- Don't skimp on the PSU, EVGA Supernova is one of the safest bets. You get that money back on your electricity bill during it's life and it's safer for the entire system to run on a solid PSU.
- I love that case, it's great.
- Ram is good, I have the same.

And don't forget you'll need to upgrade PIO to the pro version to run on 8 cores.

Yoo!
You seem like a really solid player from what I've seen. Often when I'm at the computer and not feeling like playing I open the zoom lobby where you see the biggest hands, and everytime you show up, your lines always makes alot of sense.

If you have 4bb/100 by running fairly bad I'm almost 100% sure you would be somewhere between 6-10 bb/100 in true winrate.
I don't think I've ever seen you tilt either, which is a big difference to me :P
I wouldn't be surprised if my winrate would be like 10-11.5 bb/100 if I had a normal mindset, but I have a bad habit of pushing to much into my B and C game when I'm playing without stopping. (This is much of the reason why I haven't moved past 100z yet, as you will get eaten alive if ur much off ur game at 200z+)
Feel free to send me a PM if u wanna exchange skype info and chat some pokerz

Yeh it's overkill for 99% of programs, bar PIO imo. I have a 12gb i7-3770k 3.4ghz atm and PIO rinses it, so def need decent upgrade.

Right ok I've noted that down, will do some research this weekend about power supply's, tyvm!

- Noted this down as well!
- case/ram - good!

Thanks for your comments btw, I'm not so great on hardware side of things, so any feedback is very much appreciated!

Ah well that makes some sort of sense, I hope you haven't seen anything too horrific in there (I'm sure you have ).

I do get tilted but it won't show in my play, and if it ever gets to the point where it would, I quit the session. There have been a few 3 tabling sessions where I am chasing volume targets and not playing A-game, but I wouldn't reference that as tilt, it's just me knowing that I'm still gonna be +EV, but not as much as it could be if I removed a table, I guess that has hurt the wr a bit, not by much tho.

Yeh I will PM you my skype .
