i heard the 200z games are quite soft nowadays, since there are people willing to put in 150bb+ with 37o and getting it in with KTo ( quasselinho ma man )
Saw a fun hand in the replayer with you vs a mega whale that was destroying every reg that day. Saw him win 4 150bb pots. He got you with j9o which he 3bet from SB.

cannot say I remember the hand but it sounds frustrating

Hey!
Month's soon coming to a close and I'm planning to finish it off with lots of study work, so figure now is a good time to update here!
This month has been one of my best months ever in terms of progress. Every few months, or so it seems, I have an "aha!" moment and seem to progress more in a few days than what I would like to in a full month - this happened about a week ago. Since then I have been really pleased with my game at the tables, which has also helped me to care less (not care, to an extent) about the short-term results.
The coaching is also going really well, and I'm enjoying it just as much! When I was younger I had planned on becoming a Math teacher after all-but-one of my teachers failed miserably. I thought could do a better job, but after realising that it could never become a reality because of the BS surrounding Uni, I feel so blessed to be able to coach (teach) Poker. I figure that may sound trivial to some readers, but as someone who has always enjoyed learning and the thought of teaching, coaching Poker has been a really awesome blessing!
On the moving front, I've been looking at a lot of apartments online (mainly studio's). I found one in particular that seemed great but it quickly went off the market within a day, not sure if someone snagged it that quickly (I doubt it as they wouldn't have had time to visit it), or if the owners took it down. Will keep looking. In an ideal world I'd like to be in my new place before 2018.
Aside from that, I don't think there's much more to update you guys with. I did manage to hit 100k hands of 200z this month (lifetime, not just this month) with an evBB of 4.65. Not happy with it considering I ran good for the first 70k hands, and every other reg (bar two or three) just seem so god damn bad. Don't get me wrong, I make far too many mistakes as it is, but **** me, 95% of them are <45wwsf btn clickers. It's insane.
Hands:
1. idk if this guy ever bluffs here, but I'm not folding
Aside from the poker, which continues to impress, you offer some tantalizing titbits on your personal life.

Care to elaborate....always interesting to hear about the mindsets of pro players.
Whereabouts are you looking for a flat (I'm assuming UK right?). Are you buying cash or have your found a lender who will accept gambling income (unlikely in the UK i would have thought)?

Thanks man
Ref Uni... massively pretentious function IMO. Could do a lot more in a shorter amount of time, leaving people in less debt and better equipped for life. I doubt Uni will be looked at like it is now in 20 years time, when people realise you can simply learn everything online

I guess it depends on how you interpret it. what I meant was a reg btn clicking check from flop-river with a clear bluff without thinking twice, etc

sorry forgot to reply to the last part of your comment!
Looking to rent a small place around the Luton area, just north of London.
My plan is to either tell a little white lie and say I run an online business, or voluntarily increase their deposit amount so they have no worries about payments (after admitting I play online Poker). What do you think?

Fair enough. Not sure I agree with the assertion that wwsf is quite as important as you think it is. Unsure why I feel the need to justify myself either, but the only stat relevant to wwsf which I'd say I'm not 'on the aggressive side' of, is turn probe, and that's for reasons I'm pretty confident in.

There are some courses that can't be studied online, like medicine, also a ton of people can't study on their own. On other areas, the networking you make is also super important, like business/engineering/law.
But I agree with you, it's insane how expensive universities are and it looks like a scammy thing, society says "you won't have success if you don't study at the university", and charge a ton for that.
From what I see how expensive universities are in USA/UK, it seems that it's not worth the money unless you're studying in the best of the best(like oxford, MIT, harvard, princeton, yale) and focusing on going into a really competitive market, like business/law/engineering/medicine.
I think university should be free, it's one point that Brazil is going in the right direction(the best universities here are free). I can't understand how people in USA that pay a ton of taxes aren't fighting to get free universities. It's tough to pass in the best universities here, but there's room for a lot of people in there, you can pass in almost any course with a C/C- school report.
+1 to the uni thoughts, gl on the grind, will definitely be looked at in a darker light in 20 years time.
Always happy to see you doing well, glgl.
Cheers Tom!

We can agree to disagree here, no big deal. Poker is a complex game, many different things work!

Agreed that Medicine is one of the few fields where I can see a genuine (and perhaps correct) need for such a structure that is Uni, mainly down to the severity of the potential implications in the absence of it. However, you can still learn everything online and network more effectively online, too - social media is powerful!

November goals:
1. 30k hands (If I don't hit this I'm gonna be rly disappointed (and pissed off) with myself)
2. 4+ hrs of study everyday
3. This is dependant on results, but take some more 500z shots
4. Move out, or at least find a place I intend to move into

My WWSF has consistently been 45 ish at 6evbb. I guess you may mean higher, and it is probably true you won't become the next Linus unless you are just completely going out of your way to run over population tendancies at 200. But the two biggest crushers I know at 500 both also have similiar WWSFs, think it's simply an untrue statement to say there are no crushers with that WWSF anymore.

This is also an interesting one imo. I may be biased because I went to Uni and had a very good experience, but I do think you get a lot more than just the teaching side of things. For a ton of people, me included, Uni forces you to really put yourself in social situations you would never have done otherwise, build a huge network of friends and meet people from tons of different backgrounds. I was from a very small, poor town, and really had no understanding of how the world is until I went to uni. Secondly, with the loans system it really isn't financially difficult in the UK, just an extra tax on your income (if you ever have taxable income!)
Thirdly, above all else it's just a signalling mechanism. Whatever you think about university, it is very difficult to make the big corporate money without a degree. If you have a good degree from a good uni, it's a signal that you can manage your time and have the aptitude to succeed. It's also generally true that people who have been successful at a top university have developed social skills which generally lead to success in employment. I just can't see a better alternatives for employers any time soon, ON TOP of all that, universities contribute a ton to society as a whole with the research side of things.
TLDR; good unis are good.
Nice month too, and gl going forward, you are a genuinely annoying person to have at the table so would like you to move to 500 asap.
