Seems like a top-end CPU (AMD Ryzen 7 1700 or Intel i7-7700K) is advisable, as is 16GB or ideally 32GB RAM. Any real difference between manufacturers that you're aware of?

Can't even begin to understand the vast range of graphics cards available. Seems like any gaming setup provides scope for 3 monitors, which would be nice. I have a bit of a desire to potentially add more, but will probably abandon this to save money. Aside from that, there's a massive price premium for VR-ready which would be cool but not worth it tbh.

Seems as though SSD and HDD manufacturers are hardly differentiated, unless you know otherwise?
Cores*ghz speed is a basic equation for how fast the PC will run in respect to PIO, from this, the optimal approach is lots of cores imo. The speed of the ram also has some effect (at least I think it does).

>64GB is recommended, quoted directly from PIO, and that still struggles with preflop stuff. 16gb is definitely a bad idea and 32gb isn't recommended, but it's ok if you don't run preflop/bvb postflop sims.

I didn't bother with an amazing graphics cards, but if you need it then that's fair enough!

I am waiting for the i9 range personally, but I expect them to be really pricey.

Hope that helps in some way

How long have you been stuck at 25-50nl? I think it's time to get off your high horse.

I'm not ''stuck'' anywhere I enjoy playing the stakes I do/don't need to make $ off poker, also with the legal situation in Aus/stars rakeback changes coming in it's hard to say i'm really excited about poker as I once was. As for the ''I think it's time to get off your high horse'' comment don't know what you're referring to here as I just troll here which I thought was quite obvious and if you don't like it well too bad, Who are you anyway? SN?

It's not that I don't like it, I'm all for a bit of banter. But I find it pretty ironic how you're berating op for misplaying a hand while at the same time you likely aren't much better than op, if at all. It's strange that's all

But you and op could be friends and I might've completely missed that. If that's the case then I take it back.

Right, it's been a while since I posted any sort of solid update... so, let's do just that.

Been studying hard this month. I've changed a lot of my game, which probably looks strange to the people I play against, but it works well imo and so far the results have been solid from using it.

I've also been coaching a fair bit, which has been going fantastic so far. I think I said this earlier in the blog about me wanting to be a Math teacher before I found Poker, so now being able to teach Poker, and infuse both of my passions at once, is a dream come true, and it couldn't have gone much better so far!

I'm also going to be moving out soon, not sure where yet, I'm 45/45/10 between Asia/Europe/elsewhere in the UK. Either way, the plans of 500z in the near foreseeable future will probably be postponed at least a couple of months, since I cannot be dealing with 10k downswings every month whilst dealing with extra bills. The plan is finish tweeking my game, then grind 200z and some 100z when I'm tired and not playing A-game. I'm excited .

Settings>Rakeback and Bonuses>add player (28%) is what rb is now if you're supernova>close it.

If you want to see the exact amount go into your overall results tab>click the stats button near top left>add in $USD Rakeback and it will show it.
