My name is Andreas and I am currently a highschoolstudent doing my last year. I'm a regular guy with an extreme interess for the game poker. Been playing seriously for about a year, very lowstake just to learn the game. Ofcourse I lost even at the lowstakes at first and it took me about a year to make a breakthrough to build up a bankroll that's playable.

The last month I have been moving up from the 3,5-11$ turnaments to the 40-215$s. This was possible after a 3000$ win in a 82$hyper turney which I joined with a bankroll of 400$. This was 12/15/2012. Since then I have been moving up and got very many deep runs in higher buying turnaments.
I now have a 114%ROI after 513 turnaments played with avg buyin 26,6$.

I have been taking out about $14k so I could quit my afterschool nightjob and kept a bankroll of $1k and will move on from there.

The purpose of this thread is for me to post hands and maybe get some inputs etc. Also to follow my own succes or suffer, hopefully I keep making deep runs so I can make my bankroll up to 10k in a month or two!

So, sunday begins. The best turney day of the week and I was thrilled as hell. started with sunday warmup but finished very early due bad play and a set over set all in.
Countinued with a few low random turneys before sunday million started, didnt cash in any. Mil started bad and i finished very early there aswell, ****day I thought and my bankroll was down to 500$, lost 50%
I joined one last turney, the hotter 75$. about 2200 players and i made a deep run, finishing 7th and earned 3,6k$. So i sum the day with +3000$ and now have a 4k at my account,

Very frustrating day today. Benn playing for about 7 hours and -450$. made two deepruns, one in 11$+R action hour where i finished 10th, just outside of the real cash.. I took a walk and came back and just finished 10/430 in a 51$ hyper turbo. Again just outside of the real cash, will not play anymore today due anger atm so i hope for a finaltable tomarrow instead.
my bankroll is at 2000$ now after I took out 1550$ and lost 450.

Here comes a graf over the 3months I have been playing at pokerstars, as you can see the past 28 days have been the progressing ones

The day begun with a big freeperiod in school so I joined a few turneys and made a really good run in a 109normal speed turney. So i countinued on the lesson and on my way home. Ended up winning 1/99 and got 2350$. I just took out 1550$ more, and the reason for this is that I have now taken out exactly 100k swedish kr. Bankroll is at 2500$ and I will now stop taking out cash and keep trying to improve my bankroll. Lets see if I have some more good news to share later on tonight!

Nothing more to update, lost about 700 (most to HUs, lost 4 all in flipps in 100s) so both bad luck and poor play led to this, stats for the day: +1500$

Most likely that you seems to miss BRM, and I have to agree there, it will end a disaster if you dont watch it.

I mean this man ^. You need to read a bit about bankroll managment asap. More entertaining though if you dont!

Well I know what brm is, but it just dont fit me. I could never keep playing turneys with buyins about 1/300 of my bankroll, then I wont progress IMO. As you said, more fun this way and if I lose my bankroll I still have a huge profit taken out so idc that much, will keep on winning the bigones

Unfortunately those two qualities (discipline and ultra-aggro BRM) are usually mutually exclusive, so yeah...I kind of agree with you.

Well, indeed the risk is big. Playing without BRM could be suicide. But it coulda also be the road to riches. Some people enjoy the management and the grind it results in, others don't. Grinding is actually not as fun as it may sound, neither is being broke.

But as isildur1 said in an interview (quoting his BRM-theory-genius ass, totally relevant) "You have to bust a few rollz to succeed"

So, yesterday started badbadbad. Finished early in a few big tournaments and got very frustrated. Came realy close in a 82hyper 6max, finished 15th and lost with ak vs aq in a chip2 pot. Lost a lot and went to sleep very early. Started playing some this morning and again I came 30th in a 51hyper where I lost a 43k pot and the 2nd had 30k. SB showed and i snapped with AQs, he showed q8 off and turned an 8... bankroll now is at 700$ and it's time to chill down, with that I mean I will only play turneys with a buyin of 40$ or less untill my bankroll reaches 1k+

About yestarday night i played à litte, made à deeprun in 11r ah, but failed à bluff after in My opinion à bad call from My opponent. Started today with à bankroll of 350 and Joined à 51 hyper, came 4/170 and earned 750$. Stupid as I am I had nothing to do so I player hyper HUs and went from 1k to 200. Countinued and im now at 750$ and Will prob play alot tonight if I dont get other plans and hopefully make some finaltables

Won't matter how good you are when you play everything. Should really consider playing lower.

Thanks for the response guys, ofc I know the chanse of going broke is very high, but I love the thrill of playing high and meeting good opponents. Since I have 17k profit taken out that I wont put back in im not afraid of going broke. I take this period to learn, studdy and playing very high as a fun challange to see if I can beat the best players out there. And tonight im taking a day off to do other stuff so no update will be made tonight im afraid. Couldnt resist playing some HUs while waiting for my friend, won2 lost 1 100$buyin so bankroll ends at 800 today.

Okay, bad news. My bankroll is now at 0$, however i am playing sunday warmup for my last 215$ so feel free to rail and lets hope for a last channse deeprun, cheers
