Hi and welcome to my thread.

This will detail my journey playing STT and MTT games.

Have a bankroll plan in place which is going to start on Pokerstars and eventually I will be playing on Party Poker, Sky Poker and Unibet.

Started of with $32.50 and playing these games.
  • $0.50 9 man turbo
  • $0.25 45 man
  • $0.10 360 man turbo

Started of well

So the games I'm currentlyt playing are
  • $0.50 9 man turbo
  • $0.25 45 man
  • $0.25 90 man
  • $0.10 360 man turbo

Bad session. Played the usual games and managed to satellite into
  • $0.55 Bounty Builder
  • $2.20 Micro Battle Royal
  • $2.20 Bounty Builder

Couldn't manage a cash in these.

Bankroll finished at $37.48.

Slight change of plan.

Put extra on, so balance is now $100

Games I'm rolled for and will play.
  • $1.50 9 man STT
  • $1.50 10 man Fifty Fifty
  • $1.00 9 man Knockout
  • $0.50 45 man
  • $0.50 90 man
  • $0.50 180 man
  • $0.55 mtts

Won't have a lot of tables up. Just be a selection of the above games.

So the plan has changed again

This allows me to spread some money on other sites rather than just playing on stars.

$200 on Pokerstars
$200 on PartyPoker
$100 on Sky Poker

Will focus on mtts

So day one of just mtts went well. Play will be just on Stars and Party. Don't like the software on the other sites. So $250 on Stars and $250 on Party. Will play anything upto £2.20 on Stars and try sat into bigger games. On party it will be mostly the $5.50 games and sats into bigger games.

Bankroll - $500
Total Buyins - $46.75
Net Winning - $104.39
End of Day Bankroll - $604.39

Manged to ship a $5.50 $500GTD on Party for $127.40

Will post some of the hands from it later on today after I've had some sleep.

Off to work, will post some hands tomorrow night and play some more.

Stars Balance - $241.64
Party Balance - $320.75

Moved some $ for sports betting

Well so much for posting hands. The hand history converter is giving me an error message saying its not found on this server.

Bankroll at the start of the day $562.36
Bankroll at the end of day $512.45 + $2.20 DTD sat ticket + $22 sat ticket

Was not a good day and was saved by binking a $5.50 250GTD 6 max turbo on Party for $100. So only down $25.75

Heads up was fun though. Mainly because my opponent would just click the min bet button with seven high etc for three streets

Going to go over my some of my tournaments later today. I already know the biggest leak I am going to find will be calling OOP and then check folding the flop. I'm sure if I can stop clicking the call button while OOP as much I will see more deep runs and just feel better about my game. Obviously I will have other leaks but at the moment that is the main one I want to fix.

Finished down $101.99 today. That includes the $22 ticket we had.

Did not play well today. The only deep run I could manage on Party was 13th in the Jab II for $8.14. I 3bet shove AJs for 21bb from the BB vs a BTN min open. We don't improve vs QQ

Going to have a serious look at my game when I get in from work tomorrow.
I have jumped around game formats for years and I'm probably a good bit away from having anything close to solid fundamentals.

What I intend to go over
  • Opening ranges - Should be fine. I doubt I'm adjusting to the stack dynamics though
  • Cbetting - I'm cbetting far too much
  • calling ranges - I'm calling far too often, especially oop
  • 3bet ranges / steal ranges - I'm not 3betting and 3bet jamming enough

I will probably 1-2 table something on Party while doing it.

Bankroll at the end of the day was $435.20

11th of June update
End of session bankroll is $377.18

Managed to final table a $5 PKO 6 max turbo on Party. Arrived at the table short and called of with AJ vs KQ. Q on the turn and we don't improve.

Stone bubbled a $5 PKO 6 max turbo as well. Made a huge mistake raise calling off with 99 while 17bb deep.

Came close to another ft but couldn't get the double up I needed. Running AJ into AQ.

Feel I played better today overall. Less tables and took my time over spots.

Back at it again later

Sort update since I'm loading up my session just now.
Finished down $37.99
Played 19 tournaments and managed to make one final table for a small result and I managed to bubble another final table. Also picked up another $22 on party so going to try turn into either a $109 or $215 again.

13th to 17th June Update
Finished down $130.23. Had a few final tables and a few ft bubbles.

Played a tournament and a cash game with some mates. Finished up £200. Pretty much gifted money when I flopped a full house with JT on JTT. Blinds are 25p/25p. I call a bet of £2.50 on the flop and then I get shoved into for £70 on a K turn.

As I was about to type I was on a final table on party I shove 66 get called with KK and JJ. No 6, so with for $15.07

Finished down $10 today.

Managed a final table on party but busted quickly.

On stars manged a 24th in a $3.30 ante up. Enjoy playing these. Interesting format.
Also finished 36th in the big $4.40. Was going well until I got it in with 99 vs 33 on a 873 board with a flush draw vs a check jam.

Happy with how I played in. Managed some deep runs and some final tables. Just keep putting in the volume and hopefully the results will come.

Managed to go over this. Extra work needed on the 3 bet / steal ranges though.

Girlfriend is away this week so the plan for the week will have a bit more time for poker. Off work Wed, Thur, Fri.

Might devote one of those days to playing the beta for the new path of exile expansion though or play some Divinity Original Sin. I want to see if I can get the platinum trophy for it on PS4.

20th of June Update

Same as the last few updates. Managed a final table but no cigar.

Today is going the same for the most part. Although...

Currently 3/13 in a $2.20 bubble rush
4/8 in a $5 PKO 6 max turbo
2/40 in a $5 freezeout. A bit of the money yet in this one.

About how many tourneys are you playing per day? I'm on a similar challenge as yours, but I'm mostly constrained to play during work ours (8 hours a day), which seriously limits the number of games I can take.

Good luck!!!

Around 20 a day. My real job shifts could be between 4 hours and 9 hours. All 12.30 am finished and weekends. So I miss the best time to play mtts

    River: (393,998) Q (2 players, 2 are all-in)

Get the Flash Player to use the Hold'em Manager Replayer.

BTN has Q3o for the lolz

Bankroll sits at $229.24 so I'm currently down $333.15.
My pt4 graph doesn't reflect that since it's not adding in bounties. Not bothered about that graph though.

I'm happy with how today went. Making four final tables we could easily have had a massive day. It wasn't to be though.

We go from possibly this (exaggeration but giving my current roll)

    To this..

I'm off work today. So this update may be continued...

Thanks! Will have more sports related stuff in this thread once the new football season starts, or soccer depending on where your from.

I will be looking to bet on league winners in a season long bet.
Looking to get into DFS as well.
The two big things coming up this year though is the Mayweather/McGregor fight and the Golovkin/Canelo fight. I fancy Mayweather inside 3 rounds similar to how he knocked out Ricky Hatton. Looking at Golovkin in rounds 4-6 or 7-9. Not sure yet.

Up nice and early today. Its time to study and review some tournaments. Going to put a proper plan in place for this.

Need to go to work at twelve for an hour or two to discuss career stuff.

Back home, chill then head to the pub for the poker game. I currently have three wins and second place finish. I've only played six out of the seven games. I don't think cash game will run tonight due to this game being moved from a Friday to a Thursday but one can hope.
Looking like this could be the easiest title defense since Tyson destroyed Spinks in 91 seconds

Will play some mtts later as well.

Wow, you finish working at 12:30 am? That's tough man!

But 20 tourneys per day is still a nice quantity for someone with a regular job (I'm only playing around 8 per day so far).
