Yeah thought I would just start a thread here for fun. Been playing and writing down thoughts for myself for a while, but there's really no fun without any one else reading it and giving some feedback etc.

I'm just a rec playing that loves the game, so I'm going to try to be as transparent as one could be with up and downs. There's not gonna be any big volume from me since I'm just going to play one table at the time. (yeah I know sick right...) but for me at least that's why I enjoy poker. When I can observe the table, build a profile of villains and adjust.

So, I guess I'm going to use this as a place to just writing down thoughts from different hands and just general **** that comes to mind. I hope that this can help me become a better player and if you see me write something that stands out to you I hope you'll write and share your thoughts!

So yeah I play only one table and I'm starting with just short 45 min sessions. At the moment it feels like after that I start to 'drift' off and loose concentration. It's something i definitely want to work on to be able to play longer sessions, but I'm in no hurry at all. It will come when it comes.

On the table I had a LAG to the left who loved to cold call 3 bets IP and then later on steal pots post flop. Kinda annoying to have a player like that directly to the left since I feel it cuts of a lot of stealing opportunities. Well then it's just tightening up pre but I still tried to play position a lot.

So this hand happened. I called (loose I know...) IP vs pre flop raiser that I'd been 3 betting quite much and villain just folded folded.. So I called and hoped that player above would call which villain did..

Needless to say that I added a note on that behavior... but also horrible river raise from me, what the hell can I represent? just horrible...

Yeah well also I'm just playing around and my stats for this session were 44% in VPIP, 35% i PFR and 21% in 3 bet... lol. so... yeah

Thought I would do a weekly update. Been working a little bit on the fundamentals with ranges. (what does an 15% PFR range look like and what is 5 % 3 bet range etc..)

It's a little bit scary when you realize that all of those fundamentals just vanishes when you're tilting. It's just 'poff' and then I'm not thinking. One of the things that I do the most is over shoving with questionable hands and that is probably my biggest leak that I'm working on.

For instance like this hand. I'm in vs an unknown and a reg. The reg squeezes (SQ% of 11..) and has a 3 bet of 5,4%. 3 bet is mostly for value with some light hands in there. I did not have the SQ% in my HUD atm, but still the point is that it's a high variance move.

        What do I do?

There's more, but less then before so I'm improving. Which is really good.
I played more tables as well. Between 3-9 depending on the traffic and how good it looks. So there's been some more volume, but not that much.

I'm playing to develop and hopefully I can move up in stakes, but I'm in no hurry. Just fixing basic leaks with tilting and spewing before moving up seems to be quite sensible to do before...

Anyway here's the results for this week. I'm going on holiday for a couple of days, so there won't be any play for me.

You should always restack to 100bb for a start. H1 of your last post, think we can be folding to CO raise, can't flat for that price and shoving just not good (at this stake anyway).

Multitabling. Autopiloting. Tilting. Heavily underbluffed. Confirmed busto. Sums me up pretty well. That is changing.
Redeposited $11 and playing one table to get better. Going to play 10K hands one tabling and posting a lot of hands to get better.

For some reason I can't get the HH converter to work. Tired pasting directly from notepad and from HM2, but just get an error, so here's some plain text.

            Hand 1.

vs an unknown smallstack ~50bb CO vs BTN. Hero is button. The 3 bet is a little bit smaller vs the unknown small stack. V lead OTF and I decide to call IP with my second pair. I have no plan whatsoever for the turn. OTT V leads again and I'm almost folding here but decide to call and planning to fold to a 3rd barrel. Is this ok?

            Hand 2.
Probably should've shoved OTT, but went for the raise. This is me trying to 'balancing' OTT. I do have some value hands in this spot, but I'm not sure that I would raise them in that spot. Seems like that board is better for my range, but I'm surprised at the fold OTR.

Almost half way with my 10k hands challenge and I'm quite happy with my play. Still working with plugging leaks and getting better with the fundamentals. Got tons to learn about the game. Here's some hands from the sessions and I would appreciate any feedback from you.

            ----------

            Hand 1
Villain covered me and was opening quite wide early and folding much vs 3 bets, so thought a 3bet bluff would work pretty well. With that flop I felt that a small bet would put all of his broadways in a tricky spot and I had some equity vs villains pp's. I'm unsure about the turn if I should bet or not. River became interesting when villain insta bet..

            Pre-Flop: ($0.03) Hero is BTN with 3♠ A♠
UTG raises to $0.07, 2 players fold, Hero 3-bets to $0.21, 2 players fold, UTG calls $0.14

            Flop: ($0.45) 4♥ 6♠ 3♣ (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $0.18, UTG calls $0.18

            Turn: ($0.81) 5♣ (2 players)
            UTG checks, Hero checks

            River: ($0.81) 8♠ (2 players)
UTG bets $0.68, Hero calls $0.68

            Spoiler: Villain shows QJo
            ----------

            Hand 2
A leak that I'm working on to get rid of. The turn call is unnecessary and I should probably check ott/bet smaller? definitely fold anyhow.

            Pre-Flop: ($0.03) Hero is BTN with K♠ J♠
2 players fold, CO calls $0.02, Hero raises to $0.09, 2 players fold, CO calls $0.07

            Flop: ($0.21) 5♥ 9♣ J♥ (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $0.15, CO calls $0.15

            Turn: ($0.51) T♦ (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $0.28, CO raises to $0.56, Hero calls $0.28

            River: ($1.63) 3♥ (2 players)
CO bets $1.32, BU (Hero) folds

            ----------

            Hand 3
Think villain played this pretty well because I tanked for a while before I made the call.

            Pre-Flop: ($0.03) Hero is BB with Q♠ Q♦
2 players fold, CO raises to $0.06, 2 players fold, Hero 3-bets to $0.21, CO calls $0.15

            Flop: ($0.43) A♠ J♥ 8♠ (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $0.14, Hero calls $0.14

            Turn: ($0.71) J♣ (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $0.23, Hero calls $0.23

            River: ($1.17) 5♦ (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $0.59, Hero calls $0.59

            Spoiler: Villain shows 66
            ----------

Let's see if I can get some graphics from the challenge. I'm half way there.

Yup this is my last 10k hands. Am a little bit irritated by myself because I became super frustrated as soon as there was some EV going the other way. The degen became apparent again and he went up to NL10 and NL16 and 'tried to win back his money'... Which he did, but it could as easily be busto... It's a pattern that has repeated itself a few times and I'm determined to change it.

Still testing to play more exploitatively and testing out a lot of different betsizes, which is really super interesting. I find that the people are just clicking buttons for most of the time without really thinking logically about the spot. That is also a thing that irritated me since I started multi-tabling myself and went on autopilot for around 2k of hands.

There's definitely been really interesting to play so few tables because I can really focus and really try to think logically and act after that instead of a feeling. Making decisions based on pot odds, my estimated equity vs villains range and taking time to write notes about villains can really swing my decision in one or the other way.

Overall, I feel like I'm a better player than I was 10k hands ago and it's really obvious that I still have so much more to learn.

Hello. Played so ******ed today. Mixed in some good stuff with some really horrible ones.

            --------
H1. Quite happy with my play even though I lost. Tried to get maximum value from hands that I had beat and loose as little as possible against better hands.

H5. Actually quite happy with how I played this except for the river bet. It's maybe a little loose pre.. My thinking was that BB's range is quite capped to overpairs and AQ,AJ type of hands in spots like this.

Ok so I went up to NL5 and played like ****. Basically ruined my bankroll again and I've done it so many times now. I've got some reeal mental issues when it comes to NL5 and I start to play really bad. My biggest leak is definitely that I don't follow a strict BRM and obviously when play a little bit higher I get scared.

I basically ran a little bit under EV that mixed in with bad played created this:

Think I had maybe $4 before I stopped and went down to NL2 again. Busted that after a few hundred hands. Had 76 starcoins and managed to get ITM in a tourney that gave me $13. Tried to play some more MTT mixed in with SitNgoes which is a format that I'm definitely lacking experience in and that was fun, but obviously I'll need a bigger bankroll for that since the variance is quite high.

Anyhow I'm going to focus on Zoom from now. Going to play the $5k freerolls that and no more tournaments. Focus on strict BRM. ATM I've got 11 stacks for NL2 and I'm going to take a shot again on NL5 when I've got 63 stacks for NL2. I'm also going to study a lot more than I've done before because obviously I suck at poker.
