Why would you say your having such a hard time at 1/2 when you said you use to play 2/5 for a living? Tougher games? Variance? Btw I also agree bovada is mega soft compared to act. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!!

I was on bovada. I did alright on there. I didn't really like the players being anonymous and heard from a couple people that they liked the ACR software so I decided to give it a shot.

I'm As far as losing at 1/2 when I used to play 2/5 for a living, I think it has a lot to do with the amount of time I've been putting in and the difference in the games at my casino. I haven't been putting in enough hours, mainly because of working 40-50 hours per week. I think I'm trying to win too much too fast when I play and forcing myself into bigger pots that I shouldn't be in. Will work on it. Ty

I have had similar issues playing $1/2 live cash vs $2/5. Clearly the play is no different from a skills perspective stand point but some of those games can just be so tight and the pots are so small that you feel like you need to push every little edge and try to make some bigger pots and get things going. This can definitely be the case when you get down early in a session.

Are you playing any of the March Deepstack tournaments this upcoming week and weekend there?

Guy to my left has been sighing like he is so upset with his hand (very amateur style, making it pretty clear he has at least a King). He calls. Turn is off suit 8. How much should we be leading?

I'd be betting very large and folding to a raise... I would go with about 1.25x pot which would be around the $160 area. He's not folding JT or a K. Probably not calling a smaller bet of like $80 if he does just have a hand like QJ. If he does raise you just have to bail 100% of the time though.

Thanks for the feedback drom. I'll just be playing the turbo on Tuesday because of my work schedule and going to the Bahamas for a wedding

Been awhile. Went to the Bahamas for a wedding. Thought about staying forever. Didn't play much poker the week before that. Did play a tournament from the March Series in Cincinnati and busted pretty quickly. However, had a friend make two final tables in some smaller events to net me a profit of $332.30 since my last post.

The bankroll challenge looks to be falling a little shy of what I wanted but we are still up. I'm still a favorite to be going to Vegas and putting in a full schedule this summer. It looks like I will be playing a lot of smaller events at Planet Hollywood, Golden Nugget, etc. since my bankroll isn't where I'd like it to be at this point. I plan on finalizing that trip within the next couple of weeks, however I'm not gonna give up on my goal. The volume is gonna be down a little more with coming back to work and trying to get a lot of random stuff done that I've been putting off. I plan on playing a long session Friday night.

Bankroll: $4,372.76.

Been working and working out a lot. Haven't really had time to play but have been studying a lot in my down time. I'm gonna try to finalize my Vegas plans this weekend.
