I entered Mexico !! The last step of my travel... Vegas is coming !

Hey everybody, time to give some news !

- I'm writing you from Hermosillo, in the extreme north of Mexico. I just entered the last geographic area of my trip, Sonora desert, biggest desert in North America in which I'll be riding until Nevada.

Tomorrow morning I'll be crossing the boarder and arrive in Arizona ! Thats it, after 2,5 years travelling, I'm finally entering the US in Tucson !

- I almost ended my book. I don't know if I mentioned it earlier, but Ive been contacted by a French editing house in France, and my book is being published on September. I ve been invited to some book festivals in France, and it's likely to be a success... how great is that?

- In one week more or less, I'll arrive in Vegas ! If anyone wants to meet there, I'd be glad to have some talks with you...

I'm arriving there with no plan except the dream to play the Main Event, even if it's totally out of my bankroll and I'm far from having the 10000$ to play it. I still don't know of how I'm gonna do it. I was thinking of staking but with the 50% french taxes, thats not a good idea. Of all the solutions I've been thinking, I think I'll just probably ask for the generosity of my followers to end this epic travel the best way. In some days I'll probably open a crow funding thing and try my luck...

nope it was pretty easy, and funny actually ! When they saw the ecuatorian plate they took me out of the line, and started to ask me questions, at every answer they were more and more like "what the ???". At the end the cop almost shook my hand hahah but he took it back

You were profiled as a drug mule, then they realized that no one would present such a crazy cover story like what you actually have done in the last 2.5 years.

Sorry I totally forgot this thread and for whatever reason I remembered it this morning.

Well, some news 7 years later :

After the Main Event in Vegas, I came back to France. I wrote a book about my adventure (if anyone is interested it's here, but it's in French https://www.amazon.fr/World-Poker-Tr.../dp/2958273806 ). After this, I was quiet tired from travelling so I tried to come back to my previous architect life, but working 9 to 5 in an office was, as u can imagine, quiet hard after all these years of freedom. So I tried to find an equilibrium, starting poker again but as an online player this time. This lasted for 5 years. When corovanirus started, I had already been thinking for a while of quitting again, trying to find a new path, so I took the spot to start an online business which I'm still running today. On the side, I happen to be invited to give conferences now about poker, taking risks, and taking decisions in uncertainty contexts.
