I'd be more pissed if he flatted the turn and I shoved the river to be honest, but that's just because I like having a tangible way to complain about my luck.

Well you right sir,but he is a bad reg and i think he will never flat turn,my sizing on turn show that i want play for stacks there and want get value from worst over pairs.Maybe he put me on a draw i dont know but on turn he had 2outs to improve witch is ~4%.
And yes i am grumpy, I confess!!!

If you run good push harder. looks you loosing aggresxivness when winning big pots. only think about present and next hand the same.

I think ABC is not enough to exploit a big part of the field. You need to exploit Villians tendencies.

    Hi Noobis.

If you play poker you have to deal with the variance. I took a shot at 30nl from 10nl the other night and lost over 4 buy-ins (funny had a 2 buy-in stop loss, got slightly tilted, couldn't let go):

    AA < TT (AI preflop)
    AA < QQ (AI preflop)
    555 < 8888 (AI Turn)
    888 < 999 (AI Turn)
    Straight < Flush
    etc etc etc etc etc

What do you do? You go back to 10nl (or in your case 5nl) and grind back those buy ins for the next shot. The first shot missed and maybe the next one but eventually it will stick. Do you remember when you sucked out on the other guys KK>AA etc etc, harder to remember than the other way round but it evens itself out.

The difference between the suck outs for and against is...skill.

You know you are good enough to beat 2nl and 5nl so it is just a matter of time before you can beat 10nl. It is all about patience.

I would say "good luck" but this is poker so instead "play well".

    Cheers

In my opinion i play solid,i dont know.I play a tagy style and i plan my hands,i mean when i c bet a flop i know what i do if i get a call or a raise.I have some leaks playing oop vs aggro 3betors and playing from blinds vs steals.
Am not scared money, first 12k hands its my study staff and i big downswing its from 1k hands at NL10 and i was super unlucky.
Some times i play vs regs and my play is weak,i know that but most of my hands its vs fish.I want play big pot vs fish and not vs regulars.
About ABC poker i am sure that is enough to win at nl5,that month prob start bad and i hope will end good.

yeah sounds good maybe variance. In zoom you learn playing regulars.
Many regs have Hud's and know what you are doing if you play ABC even at 5nl. So if some regs start to exploit you then you adjust vs. them. The mroe hands you play and the more time in that Level the more they gain information.
So these agrro 3bettors might be regs who found out how you play 3bet pots/game?

I have a similar problem. Played zoom and one day I had a good session and the next I lost twice as much as I earned the previous day.

Whenever you have AA no one calls but when you have QQ,KK and shove you get called by AA all the time. I busted my roll recently (turned 15$ into 60$ on zoom in 3 or 4 days not playing too much and I felt great. I thought that I finally know how to beat the micros) and was so unlucky one day that I dropped to 20$.

Every time I had a good hand my opponent would hit their flush/full house on the river (1 hand I went all in with QQ on 88Q board and my opponent called with AA and the river was an ace) then another hand my hud was showing me that the villain I was playing had stats 80/70/13 over 20 hands - basically playing ATC. He shoves pre so I call with KK and guess what, he had AA...

I just don't believe how variance works. Why is it that one day you wake up and can win 20BI and the next day you lose 30BI? Why when you're on a heater all your hands win pots and when you're on a downswing even your sets and draws get crushed...

If you check these within your hm2 filters you will get answers.
Filter 3bet pots, lost hand. Then narrow it to the problem(In positon, calls cbet, hand values etc..)

If there is a pattern you might have a leak. If it looks random it might be variance.

Yes but we all must work on the mental side of poker,i mean too many regs an poker but fish at mental. When i play 160k hands per month,i want be a reg mental player as well.
I will start check some stats from hm2 when this month ends and i will have 300k hands and stars planing to play nl10 maybe.

well done noobis i like your motivation ive been working really hard on my game mental and game play really hard and really statrting to crush now.

i think at the micros its really important to make disciplined folds even with big hands when everything is saying your beat EG you have AA on a 3 flush board and river comes the 4th flush card and you dont have a piece those and you get bet at aces should hit the muck to a bet. money saved is money earnt

also ive been working on being really tight i used to have a red line that shot up almost vertical and showdowns straight down.

so i play tight and loosen up co button and really thinking about flop textures is it good to cbet here or should i check this flop, what am i repping

i love the game it really is a skill game and not just luck like so many think

goodluck with your challenge ill see you on the tables soon

Today I started a trick to improve my mental game.
I will stop watching the results and the graph of the session as I am playing.Today I tried to see once at break and then at the end.Tomorrow I will try to see only at the end of the session my results. My goal is not to give a damn at all and to look them every 3 days.
Today I played 5 hours and I am not happy with myself,I did some serious mistakes in big pots and other times I was overestimated my cards and another times I played it weak.

I will update my graph when week end.

Think that's a good way to keep focused on improving your game, without worrying too much on your BR. You know if you've played well during a session and shouldn't have to check the results ...

Very good thread and though I've just skimmed through most of it, I can see you've been working very hard on your game. All the best - you deserve to be a success 'without plan B'!
