@taroxus Not sure what you mean 32 cev is definitely beating the games especially in a **** month like January think my hourly with all multis was like $50 per hour, we can’t all bumhunt 20 hours a month to support ourselves

How do you bumhunt spin 'n goes ?

Last edited by Pakichu777; 02-11-2019 at 07:06 PM. Reason: But imagine how soft the games would be if people would just play 2 tables... rather than the BE 6 tabling

32cev is decent enough indeed, especially with that volume. Though, I don't know why regs have this idea that bumhunting is shameful. It is litterally the essence of being a poker pro. Look at the junglemans and the durrrrs, where are they playing? In Macau busting these rich ass donk chinese businessmen. Well played man, they are bumhunting on the highest level and it is smart. I think bumhunting is really smart and the reason why so many aspiring pros have to move down or go broke is because they don't have the bumhunting skill and want to swing with their D too much.

YO, im back! since 250s have come out, i am 10x more motivated with poker, the gap between 100s and 5s is just too big skill wise and BR wise, but these 250s seem like the perfect stepping stone. this continues, im going to be studying a ton and playing a ton untill im ready for 250s that is my number one goal atm. Second is still to get fit, i have a friend back living in same village as me from uni for his easter holiday plan is to go gym everyday that hes back, anytime one of us pussies out have to pay £10 to other. lets goooo.

Are we going to be getting some graphs, some results? I think a lot of people are wondering how it is actually going. From this post I have no idea what is going on.

GL on reaching 250s!

You want graphs!? i give you some graphs! below are my most recent results at 100s, before this i went down and played at 60s for about a week to regain confidence and work on my game. I also recently made a new DB for 2 reasons, firstly to get new stats on opponents because i have been playing spins with alot of volume for over 2 years some regs have changed there game so i wanted to build new sample on them, and second because i wanted to forget the horrible month i had in february where i played 100s with a little bit better than BE cev.

so this is all dates on new DB

and this is end of old db to now

i'm feeling really good with my game atm, i still play too fast and make small mistakes but overall im really happy with my game and think i can achieve a slightly higher cev than i have if i keep working on mindset and focus which i think are the biggest leaks

Also gyming has been going well so far; my friend and I only skipped one day which we both agreed on so noone paid anyone any money, we both had big stone overs and our muscles were pretty dam sore aswell so seemed fair to take a day off :P also i have noticed gyming is a great way of splitting up my day and keeping me coming back to poker refreshed with a different outlook

Im also about 2 days away from shooting 250s if the boss allows me in with a slightly lower cev than was planned so thats exciting. I haven't been studying a ton lately other than reviews hands after sessions so i;m looking forward to checking out the vids in the Spin x library because theres a ton of sick lectures out there i havent checked out yet.

Oh yeah and the other thing ive changed is i very rarely play 6 tables anymore and just stick at 5, 6 tabling is where i had the horrible downswing so im just gunna stick to 5 for now and 6 at weekend maybe when theres lots of fishyssss around.

Peace out

Gratzzzz, that was about time! 3rd one in 2 months right? sick dude.!!
About the graphs, there is something wrong about it, they start below the zero point and its very hard to see how u are doing ev wise. Can u just give a graph from the year so far and monthly graphs?

Thanks

Last two days since the 10k bink been super lazy have hardly played any poker but have done a bit of studying and been to gym. plan to get back to grinding tomorrow.

Yo yo 2+2 degens

Just wrote a long update/ramble on my mobile and then it deleted itself so i will try again but it wont be aslong as before i don't think.

Pokers been going good recently decided to test the waters at 250s on my own roll. Fortunantly ran good so far because i'd be busto if i didn't lol will probs look to get some staking when the inevitable downswing comes.

Outside of thissss not been smashing the goals. More like smashing the beers tbh. Fortunatly all my mates gone back to University and jobs and stuff now so i can concentrate again on poker because the last like 10 days have just been hanging with friends chilling drinking smoking weed. The weathers been sick in england aswell, and when i say sick, i mean like 15 degree celcius + which is a good enough excuse to get the BBQ out and sesh.

Looking to get back into the gym starting monday and have another go at it. Today ordered myself two weeks work of high protein lunches from musclefood, pretty happy about this because i live in the countryside its nearly impossible to get a takeaway let alone prepped meals. Hopefully with the healthy lunches will be easier for me to reach my health goals as i wont just be reaching and eating the first thing i find after my session and instead some healthy scan.

Here some pretty pictures from my fave smoking spot in the hills around my village, spend about 7/10 days up here just chilling with friends watching sun go down and smoking 7gs of the good stuffff.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE BEST MONTH EVER!!!!!

Had to post this somewhere, deffo didnt think 3 years ago when i went full time from being a gardener on about 25k a year that i would be posting 36k months in poker 3 years later!!!!!!

Also had to post this somewhere because I feel like i can brag as much as i like here to other poker players, everyone poker enthusiast wants to see a good giraffe! but you look like a **** bragging to people who don't play poker about how much you makee so im wacking it all here on 2+2.....

2 days left of month!! NO DOWNSWING PLEASSEEEE

Taking dayy off tomorrow anyway, marked 200 hands over last 2 days and need to smash through themm so that means just one day left of month to ruin my pretty graph

P.S

Maybe ill just retire on my run good graph and charge 400$ ph for spin and go coaching, could be good idea

Rule number 1, never post a quick reply in your thread if you know your going to be writing a while cus the site like auto logs you out after 10 mins or some **** and you loose everything you've written once you click post.

Update: Currenty doing a small trip around some parts of europe after my decent month i thought i deserved some time off. Also an ex flatmate and good friend of mine is taking a break from poker for 6 months or so, and going cycling round uzbekistan so it timed in nicely to go visit him for a night out and then country hop back to the UK, also had not seen him since i left Malta. We went out day drinking and ended up in this festival held on a student campus there was not too many people there for like the first 4 hours so it was kind of strange experience in a strange setting. It was the first day of the world championship of ice hockey though and slovakians ****ing love there ice hockey more maybe more than Brits love there football and we ended up meeting this girl he knew and going to a student bar where we met some of her friends. After the game we went back outside to where the festival was being held and partied most the night with these two pretty slovakian girls they were both super cool and bought drinks back which weren't expected after buying them some, the only slovakian words i knew were swear words i had learnt from Tilting my flatmate at FIFA back in malta but it got a few laughs shouting them when Slovakia missed a shot in the hockey games and i also remember at some point one of the girls was trying to correct my pronunciation of "Kurwa" you have to do some weird **** on the RRR sound which i just could not do as have never used those vocals in english words before.. Got home ****ed up 4am and all in all was a smashing night. had a couple interesting experiences with Slovakian people on my night out, i wrote down one in alot of detial but cba to rewrite it all again, but 99% of slovakians, especially the younger generation are liberal down to earth friendly people. Did have one random drunkard leaning down from a table above us in a bar shouting at the people i was with to speak slovakian as half of them were and the other half weren't as they were conversing with me and my friend. This guy who i had met that night was super chill though and replying back to the guy in English trying to get him to calm down, after about 30 mins of this the situation diffused, im not entirely sure how but was a bit of awkward. Im not entirely sure what the problem was, he was just speaking "passionately" is how daniel (exflatmate) put it. Thought i might aswell add his name instead of constantly referring to him as ex flatmate. The girls were also really apologetic to me about it aswell which just showed how down to earth they were. Customer service was pretty hit and miss some places the staff just seemed pretty grumpy and in others were much more friendly. Saturday i planned to do some sightseeing, i did do most of what i wanted to see but was too late to make it into the castle i wanted to check out, but that just gives me another reason to come back again, was going to check out some pretty hipset club tonight too but i got pissed on by thunder and lightning on my way from where i had eaten so am here now back at the flat. Off to Austria tomorrow, maybe ill play some poker then as p* is inaccessible from Slovakia and i don't want to get too rusty. Might do a little bit of study too tonight and watch some coaching vids. Had one other funny experience with a slovakian and that was when i arrived, i tried to get a taxi but the guy there said 30 euro for a 10 minute journey so i just didnt bother wasting my time at the taxi rank as they all just going to rip you off so i downloaded taxify and payed 7 euros instead. But the guy who picked me up first thing he did was ask my name and tell me William is a scottish name. and then he asked why did i come here, the country is a big ****, North Korea is the best country in the world. Made me laugh a little but i didn't bother speaking too much as there was already a tough language barrier. All in all very much enjoyed my time here and will return. Deffo a good place for a stag do aswell beer is like 50% cheaper sometimes more than UK in most places. but tbf i had never seen so many stag dos in once city at same time in my life, mainly drunken british people dressed up as girls of in gimp suits everywhere. till next time, peace

Festival on carpark with backdrop of old soviet style flats turned into student housing. Im told the band that was playing here are actually pretty big in Slovkia so this was probably the smallest concert they've ever done, apparently most the uni students go home over weekend and only live in there flats Monday to Friday so that could explain the reason for it being so quiet to start with. Festival was to celebrate 100 years of the uni being open.

Flicked in some pics and a little trip report, will post more poker related stuff when back in UK but hopefully i will make some good stories on this journey and you guys enjoy the read, let me know what you think. also be posts will be better written as i will always Copy everything ive written before submitting it on 2+2 and it all being deleted from now on, and that means i wont loose my post and rewrite a more lazy one after

Hey man,

I read the whole thread after my coach referred this as a source of motivational boost. I saw that on Dec 2018 you were beating 100s with 65 cev. Then January 6000 games with 32 cev. And you mentioned Feb almost no chips and a month you want to forget.

I can't imagine the amount of bad spots you faced to have 10-12k games with very low cev.
How are you doing this? How don't you lose faith to your skill?

I am playing $40s. I have 4k games with 47 cev and I have been devastated, feeling that I can't beat the game.

Thanks a lot for the post and I am super curious for further updates. Cheers!

It's all relative and i guess it depends how long that 4k games has taken you for how demotivated you may be feeling right now. I don;t know what the ROI is with 47 cev at 40s because the rake is different, but i imagine its slightly winning like 1% or something which isn't bad if you feel like your going through a downswing. in Poker you have to try and be as honest as possible with yourself, especially when going through a "downswing". You have to ask yourself the questions of; Am i playing my A game? Am i spewing? Are my opponents doing things that i do not? Do i understand why my opponents do such things? aka different bet sizings etc. "Am i playing in good games? Am i playing with distractions? etc etc etc.... and if you are saying Yes to 2 or 3 of these things then you have to take a step back and realise you are causing the downswing. i have only played poker now for like 3 years, but i am very open with myself and ask all sorts of questions like these all the times when going through a tough spell. Via asking these questions and seeing you are doing your best you can in all these areas, then the only justification for your bad results is swinging and running bad. And therefore there is nothing you can do but keep on playing and playing well, that is how i am able to cope with these downswings, i either am doing something wrong and work on that area. or feel there is nothing i can do and am very content with just continuing to play and grind untill the upswing comes, remember there is a TON of variance in spin and goes. So i guess i don;t loose faith in my skill because i know i am doing everything i can to play my best in all areas; unless i'm not and this usually leads to a downswing , but if i am doing my best then there is nothing i can do but play, its up to the poker Gods to decide my fate. But as long as your studying regularly and trying to maximize the time you spend playing your A game, then what more can you do. Nothing, so just accept it and feel gratitude for what you are doing, your life, and play. i imagine if 4k games has taken you a couple months then you are very demotivated, but after every downswing comes an upswing and all we can do is keep trying to make the most +ev decisions to get there, if poker is your passion and what you want to do, then just keep grinding and doing your best and know at some point it will stop, and if it means you have asked yourself questions and had to work on spots, then that downswing has made you make yourself a better player which is also a great thing to acheive.
