Not a day goes by where I don't regret a decision I've made in my past. Poker related, or life related, we all have made decisions that we would change if we could go back in time . Unfortunately for me, I have more than I can count.

A little about myself. 26 years old from the U.S. Currently work FT, Have played poker for roughly 8 years, but have never taken the game as seriously as I Should have . I've won and Final tabled a handful of MTT's both online, and a few live tourneys , with my biggest cash being somewhere in the 5k $ Range. I've built up $10,000+ BR's on $100 to $200 deposits numerous times, only to $h!t it away betting on sports, or playing Cash games way above my skill level/ BR.

I currently live with my 2 best friends in a very nice place, with an amazing view of the city. That is about to change. I'm going to sacrifice things now, so I don't look back in 5-10 years with regrets. I will be moving back home , for 1 year, to save money, and add to my BR , and to help my father, who is currently in the worst shape of his life physically, due to trying to provide for my sister and Myself, and he has done 1 hell of a job.

As I mentioned earlier, I have a decent FT job , working from 7AM -3:30 pm . Leaving me with 3-4 hours per night, that I plan to dedicate to poker, and 5-10 hours on the weekend. My goal is to play 20-25 hrs per week 4 tabling $25 NL to get back in the swing of things.

I will play $25NL with a $500 BR until I reach $1,000 , where I will move up to 50NL. I know that is not the greatest BR mgmt strategy out there, but I'm confident enough that I can beat these limits , while getting back into the swing of playing poker daily , and sharpening my skills.

My overall goal is to reach $10,000 Bankroll by the end of this year. And possibly, Taking a shot at playing professionally in January of next year. Can anyone give an estimate of monthly income 4 tabling $25NL 4 hours per night with 3BB/100 WR and 27% RB? I've done the math myself, but I want to make sure my numbers are accurate.

I will also be adding money to my BR from my Job that will be put into savings , until I reach the $2,000 -$5,000 BR mark.

I will begin this journey within the next week or 2. I will post HH's and update this thread daily, once I start. I really hope this is a decision I look back on 1 year from now, and am absolutely thrilled that I sacrificed something in my present, to better my future. I look forward to answering any questions, learning from 2+2, and making new friends along the way.

Poker Goals:

Play 80+ hours a month
Read 1 poker book a month
Once reach 100NL stick to 25x BR buy in rule before moving up stakes.
Reach $10,000 Br by playing, and contributing salary to BR by Nov of this year.
2 1.5 hour HH reviews a week.
Add 1 table every 2 weeks until comfortable multi tabling 8 tables. (Will start with 3)

Will add more goals as they come to me. Hope to look back on this 1 year from now, and be happy with what I have accomplished.

After a lot of thought today, I've decided not to move back home. The main reasons I thought moving back would benefit me was A)Money and B) Dedication to the game.

My roommates both like to go out and have fun, multiple times per week, which is gonna make it hard for me to try and reach my hourly goals. After giving it a lot of consideration today, I'm just going to have to learn that if I want to turn these dreams into a reality, I'm going to have to be determined to log these hours no matter what. If locking myself into my room to log these hours is what it's going to take, then so be it.

I know this thread so far, has no poker results, or anything to do with poker at all, Give it a week or 2. I plan on studying the game like I never have, starting tomorrow, for 1 week and not playing a single hand until next Monday. Will continue to post daily, since that too is part of my goals.

Also, could anyone recommend a solid , and reasonable , poker coach? I've checked the poker coaching forum , but any advice would be appreciated.
