Music being played improved golfers putting results in a study. Any music was better than none but jazz had the best results followed by classical. Take it for what you will.

Ahh yeah I used to be the same, but couple of days travelling through the world w/o much to eat convinced me that i could work/do stuff on an empty stomach and that it was just my mind playing games w me.

It's not concerned about whether or not I should listen to music before I start playing. I just don't think I concentrate as hard when I play poker with music than without.

This guy did it for a week lol
Yea, I've heard bread is really bad for your body's aesthetics.
What would be a good alternative though? What on earth do people eat at lunch without bread???
I plan on moving to Thailand in January 2019, so I'm sure my diet will get a lot better there, but I'm also not drinking any alcohol until December 13th, so right now seems like a good time to try and get a bit more in shape.

Sick. Not saying I won't give it a try, but just not right now when I'm on a bit of a downswing

Ikr?! It's only our mind blow minding us that it will be impossible, that we will suffer like hell, etc. But once you get over the fear of the unknown (or that you accept that you will be outside of your comfort zone for a said period of time), it's actually pretty easy like you said. Like anything else rly.

When I was in Korea, the locals used lettuce to eat their meat (wrap it).
It's way lighter for the stomach than bread and it's good and healthy.
So yeah, I've been adding way more lettuce to my diet instead of bread, especially when I eat meat since it's already kind of heavy.
Towards the middle of the video, you can see the Koreans eating their meat w lettuce as a way to wrap it.
Just google "Korean BBQ Lettuce Wraps" and you'll have plenty of content/recipes.
Rice is another easy replacement for bread imo (unless you already have sugar problems as it increases the blood sugar level).

Nah, I'm definitely going to try and get in decent shape this year. Little to no biscuits and cake from now on.

If not, crackers are nice. I eat goldfish lol.
Doubt jam and peanut butter on Lettuce will taste very nice at all.
Decent suggestion though. Will probably just try and eat raw veggies and fruits at lunch time.
Played significantly worse yesterday than on Sunday tbh. Spewing all day
Will try once again to play in silence. Also need to make sure I quit the session if I know I'm not playing well and not wait until I tilt off a buy in then leave in an even worse mood.

hey, just found this thread so. Subscribed
why do you play only full ring and not 6max? sharing the fish with less regs should be +ev right? or do you think the skill-level of regs between fr and 6m is too big for this to be true?

It's honestly always been because I use the hypersimple table theme, which means I couldn't have my seat/cards shown at the bottom centre of a table, which is annoying when mixing fr tables where I am always seat number 5. And also now because even at 100nl these days it is hard to get a good seat on a 6max table without using a script, and I haven't used one in over a year.
I am not saying I'll never mix in 6max, I'm just not interested in doing it right now.
Very loose call down. Guy is one of the best regs at 200 as well imo.
Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 5 5

I only managed 2.5k hands instead of the 3k+ that I had planned, because I couldn't stop myself from watching some Champions League last night. Real Madrid vs PSG though!
Currently at 37k hands for the month, so should definitely start putting more of a shift in volume wise, as it's definitely not smart to leave it to the last few days to catch up on pace for the freeroll.

You're totally right. From now on I'm going to try and not watch any live football/Match of the day.

Dr. Fung can get a bit irritating at times, but at least he explains the science behind fasting in palatable ways:

Cheers mate, and I will do!
Played some disgusting poker yesterday tbh. I don't feel as bad about it as I probably should because I still booked a win. Also REALLY need to start playing in silence. Last night I was grinding 14 tables whilst watching Question Time ffs! There wasn't even any discussions about Brexit either. Just some nonsense about Oxfam and a potential tax on sugary treats. I couldn't have put myself in a more -EV spot!

Cutting out all football seems a bit of an overkill, MOTD especially. I think I’ve seen before you get up at 9-10ish but don’t start playing till 3 if I’m correct, you could start earlier on days where you want to watch football and watch it guilt free.
Lol @ watching question time while playing, sure fire way to put yourself on insane tilt imo.

Hey
I think you misunderstood my criticism and maybe i should have elaborated a bit more since i wanna be positive and helpful.
You seem to have shown some regret about watching this game, thats what triggerd my response.
There is nothing wrong with watching soccer but you never should regret it if you do so. You know in advance which matches will happen that day and you have to decide what is best you.
Train yourself to make informed decisions which will benefit you and spending your freetime in the most enjoyable ways will be very benefical, i assume.
Re: Watch me become the hardest working ssnl player in the world! ***Freerolls ITT***
Only watch TV if games are super soft, on Stars that may never be the case
I was watching those murder investigation shows at 3am while grinding, fun times.
Fasting is very good.
Semi-alternative to fasting is to eat watermelon for breakfast. Basically when you sleep your body is in a fasting state, then eating watermelon which is >90% water will prolong that, while still giving you energy for the day.
Slice the watermelon in half and eat with a spoon.
If you do fast, always be careful with your energy levels so that you don't feel weak when going outdoors.

I may not have worded it brilliantly, what I mean by no more live tv is that I won't be ending my sessions at 22:30 or whatever just to watch Match Of The Day or whatever. Instead I'll just watch it on bbc iplayer the next morning when the poker traffic is much slower.
And yea, you're absolutely right about question time. Never watching while playing ever again.

I really love watermelon, so I may actually give that a try.

Going to a restaurant tonight, so volume wont be a good as yesterday. But I still want to play in silence, as I think I played really well yesterday because of that.
Re: Watch me become the hardest working ssnl player in the world! ***Freerolls ITT***
Really happy that I managed to play over 3k hands, despite waking up at like 14:30 and going to a restaurant yesterday. Not a particularly exciting grind though tbh.
Vs reg. Probably should have folded river tbh. Doubt he'd triple AA or KK on that river.
