I want to see how this goes, too bad you can't add plug-ins on 2+2 in these pg&cs otherwise ppl would make a decent bit from ad rev/just by blogging on these pg&cs

Yea, obv don't really care if I make a few pennies from the blog. Mainly just want to start it to improve my writing. I'm pretty much 95%+ certain that I won't be having children. So I have a huge desire to one day write a book, as I think that would be a great way to leave a mark on the world.

Nah, not yet. Will make the big reveal in my May wrap up. Aiming to make £1000 from it this month though.

Why would you want to flat call with quads on the river in the 55 hand? Surely your opponent has some Ax he plays like this and isn't folding to a re-raise?

I was just joking. But I was also trying to point out that if you really look at how he played it from the point of a rec it's hard to put him on anything other than AA

      Thanks mate.

Decided to take 365 days off drinking because I really had to sort my **** out. Back in December when I started this my three main goals for the next year were to learn to drive, improve my (online) skill set and to get in better shape. I'm 5"9 and weigh 10 stone 12lbs which may not sound bad at all, but I have legs like a sparrow and have the belly of a guy my height who weighs ~13st.

Nearly 5 months in and so far I've passed my theory test, and will do an intensive driving course next month. I've found a way to make some side money that has nothing to do with poker, and I'm on a 304 day streak learning German on Duolingo! And back in December I did literally no exercise (unless of course you include walking) and now I'm exercising for an hour 5 days a week as well as taking whey protein and amino acid supplements.

I didn't have a problem with Alcohol or anything, but I'm 23 now and have grown past the thoughts of staying young forever that I had in me when I was in my late teens or early 20s. Most of my friends have the life plan of just working away, getting drunk and doing some cocaine/other party drugs at the weekend and then when the get to 26/27 settle down, buy a house and start a family within a 5 mile radius of the town we currently live in. I definitely don't want that and so I want to try and steer the direction for my life now rather than later. I know I'll look back at this when I'm 28 and be glad I did it.

      More pain today

I misclick called pre as well

American Style Gangster Rap took over most of German Hip Hop Landscape in the mid 2000s and i really cant stand it.

That doesnt mean there arent some gems out there but i prefer 90s Stuff before Gangster **** took over

I hopped into your song here and i heard Ghetto 2 times and closed when they zoomed in into some Mercedes, took like 10 seconds haha
Beat is very nice though, if i wouldnt understand lyrics i would like that song a lot

And well to even inject some evil racist stuff, you wont find many mainstream ethnic german artists these days^^

My opinion is of course really biased since i cant ifentify with any value represented by Gangster Rap.

The sobriety thing seems very +EV for poker. It's pretty insane how much socializing revolves around drinking in Scotland, recon that would be the toughest thing about a year sober.

Seeing as you are Scottish and posted some vaguely hiphop track I can't help but link to both these guys.

Give them a listen and try and get past the accents if you can!

I definitely can't identify with any of the lyrics (that I've took the time to plug into a translator) in these songs either. Just think sounds awesome tbh.

Really into 187 Strassenbande and SXTN. I like other stuff too, but those are my favourites.

Got invited to go see The Strangers: Prey at night at the cinema last night, and I just couldn't resist a late night horror movie. It was alright. Acting wasn't the best, but I did jump out of my skin a few times, so I got my money's worth.

This was the only hand of interest. SB cold caller is a 28/16 fish. Think he'd 4bet JJ pre and fold 89s. Stacks we're awkwardly sized so I just jammed and he folded AJo face up

Saw The Avengers at the cinema yesterday, thanks largely to a positive review by a fellow 2p2 pg&c guy.

The film was great! So action packed from start to finish and there was even a scene where they were in Edinburgh! I had no idea such a scene was going to be in it! Made my day.

Poker didn't go so great when I got home though

Thought in game that having the bdnf draw was enough to continue, but I don't know if it is tbh.

Won't be playing again until I grind out some good pio work, but I also didn't get a great amount of sleep last night, so I'll likely need some more rest first too. Just hope that doesn't amount to yet another week of completely messed up sleep schedule.

Just play on mobile internet (if it's reliable enough). With you being 2 days off from the grind, the regfish might grow too fat without having you there taking some of their winnings away :P

It's not reliable. My router is broken and we won't be getting a new one until Wednesday/Thursday. In the meantime I'll be working on my side hustles from coffee shops/coworking places nearby. Still have access to my holdem manager, so plenty pio work and db reviewing to be done when I'm at home.

304 days! Solid Duolingo grind bro. Ive been doing the Spanish one but not with that level of consistency.

Can confirm that most of my mates followed that life plan where it was all about going out drinking. Then a lot of guys who got their 1st real gf get married shortly after and then they stop socialising and going to the gym etc. I used to go clubbing 4 or 5 nights a week and gym/football nearly every day. That has been replaced by Poker and DFS now which isnt great for exercising.

I tried grinding while standing up as Im conscious that sitting down all day is not GTO and pretty sure I heard Ben Sulsky say the same thing. However standing up for 12 hours a day started to cause me problems after a few weeks, started feeling light headed and needing a seat lol. I think there is a sweet spot in the middle somewhere. The weather in this country doesnt help for exercising either. Any sunny afternoons the next few months I'm giving myself license to go outside and exercise.

Can confirm that most of my mates followed that life plan where it was all about going out drinking. At 314 days now mate! Definitely never going to stop now as I've already spent way over 100 hours on it, so if I don't become fluent then it's just been a massive waste of time.

Yea, standing while grinding for a long time is probably a lot harder than you'd think when you decided to give it a try. I'm actually going to do the Joe Wicks 90 day SSS plan from June, so we'll see how that goes.

Worked from a starbucks in Glasgow today. Had a nice chat with a hot Dutch girl there, shame she was flying back to Amsterdam later in the day otherwise definitely would've asked for her number.

Will be back in Falkirk tomorrow.

Ben is cheating by walking. I find if you play few enough tables to where you can move around the room a bit while standing you can triple your standing time. Standing in one spot and doing something intense drains me in an hour with my motorized desk.

Prob best to have a schedule. I'd imagine the expensive desks can be programmed to raise themselves every once in a while, that would be pretty optimal I think

4 days in and I'm already getting sick of this commuting into town to work from a coffee shop nonsense. I'm going to so happy to grind my ass off when I get it back later in the week though.

                                        You're crushing hard, congratulations!

Nice calldown vs rec. That's how you extract value! not the default cbet and him out of the pot. Would you still have called down his river jam if a club or a 7 came?
