53s is perfect
QT fine, it's gonna be high variance spot.
A8 prob fine without reads. all the draws missed though.
KQ I check for showdown value, no need to bluff

Mehh, river in 53s hand is pretty gross imo, I don't see him overbet jamming worse for value and bluffs doesn't make a lot of sense, think there are better spots to get his $$

QT is okay I guess, it depends how often he makes potsized bets opposed to other sizings, if pot is his only sizing then it's obv fine, but often a psb is recreationals 'big hand' sizing.

KQ are just weird bets, should be checking this down vs recreationals, river can be a x/c.

Week Update

Poker

Another rubbish graph for the collection. Won some at Skypoker and there is $30 winning hand missing off here. Had some RB come through and overall down $22 for the week.

I did not play much last week. Some of that due to concentrating on my property investments and the future of them. Some of it due to spending some time trying to figure out what I have been getting wrong over the last year. I have found it a lot easier to step back and take a deeper look at things since I have been permitted to not play so much.

I found a lot of leaks in my play this last week. A lot of leaks in my thought process.

I am excited to work on these things and am again confident that I can become a winning player.

Other stuff.

Had great weekend away with Helen. Stayed at Hilton and its really gone downhill in the last 18 months. Still we had some great laughs and found a fantastic Chinese restaurant. Legs are falling off thought due to shopping duties (marriage has down-points!).

Properties are going great. New purchase is still going through and even have some possible tenants lined up for it. Keep finding new ways to make extra bucks on them too (was never too bothered before due to lack of money conscious attitude).

Have a great week amigos, keep self educating!

Thanks for help again Sir. KQ do you check T+R or bet T and check R?

Thanks for help! Interesting that you say PSB is recreational big hand sizing as I often found it to be F.O.S and they check with big hands. I will look at this more in the future, thanks!

I don't want to turn you into a nit like I am, but think about the reasons why you would want to bet KQ there. I know probe betting is good strategy, but there should be no need to bet KQ there. It shows that you might have some basic flaws in your theoretical thinking.

Recs play value hands tricky by checking, but then make the PSB, which is typically very polarized, nuts or air.
Of course it all changes with notes

Breaking News!!!

After long consideration, today I requested to terminate my Coaching for Profits contract with Gordon and Bestpokercoaching.

After some small negotiations, Gordon and I have agreed that it is in the interests of both parties that our contract is ended.

I would like to make it clear that my main reason for wanting to leave is that I am extremely dedicated to making a huge success of my property investment business. The profits to be gained there are huge and now that I have new found money consciousness I am on fire to make BIG MONEY.

Whilst I will not be participating in Coaching For Profits I will still be playing poker in order to make LOTS of money. I still have a firm conviction that I can do that and I hope that any of you who follow me will continue to support me and help me when I am struggling.

I will still be posting regularly to my blogs and I even feel a few videos brewing up inside me

Let's go people! Onwards and upwards!!!!

Agreeing with what Chris said! It was the right decision especially considering his alternative sources of income.

We have told Chris at an earlier point that he is free to leave without any issues if he wishes so. He has some really great spirit and i told him that if he'd be single and in his twenties, he'd just blow away all of us with his dedication! Maybe or hopefully he'll do it anyways...

It's also really great how everybody here helped him with hands.

Poker

Day 1 out on my own (actually everyone has been awesome so its not thaaat scary!)

It is two small sessions and it's kind of making me chuckle as I haven't run like that for a long time!

Was interesting getting back to playing "for myself". Got property stuff out the way, meditated, watched an old coaching video for 10 minutes and warmed up (#desire) and then ran like Usain. Not changing my game plan at all, just making sure I do stuff that Gordon taught for now.

Not really sure what I will do to improve at the moment. Will just watch old videos for now, practice equities a little bit and maybe hit the forums. Gonna kind of chill on study for a bit and just let things happen/relax.

I do feel like a giant weight has been lifted off my shoulders but I think that is mainly that Gordon has been so cool about things and very encouraging too.

I will write up some poker goals for the short term today. Thinking along the lines of a holiday pot (actually I am geared so hard into properties that I probably need to make a few bucks or we're camping in the back garden next year!!!)

Other Stuff

Got so much stuff going on in my head right now. I feel like I have really got things going well for my life, feels like I advance every day and in giant leaps too! Feel like I can grow and contribute in a big way. Almost feel like I should start writing a book or something which is something I would never have considered before. Still a long way from that sort of thing though, I need to be way more successful myself before I can truly inspire people. Feels like its coming though so will keep it in mind.

GL all, keep believing in yourself!

It's Goal Time!!!

I will try to explain here... It is written down differently in my Journal but you know, some **** gotta stay private

As I said before, Helen and I have decided to live our day-to-day expenses with cash as opposed to credit. I have geared us up rather heavily in the property market and we have some "small" debts. That means we don't have a lot of cash these days! Admittedly we do have a nice lifestyle but we are already making some compromises. I also realise a lot of people would say we are "well off". Anyway we are going to clear some debts off and this will mean no "big" holiday for us next year.

So I will pay for it with poker winnings of course!!!

I need $5000 to pay for the holiday but I also want my roll to increase as I go along. So I will every month take 50% of my winnings out for the holiday pot and keep the other 50% in my roll.

So I will make $10,000.

By August 1st 2016.

Just like that!

We're already there!!!

2 x 2 hour sessions. Crazy week. Not much to say. Ask and ye shall receive!

Other Stuff

Went to see kids school assembly this morning. They sing fun songs and have a jig about! When I was at school it was old fashioned hymns and stand still like a statue. I seriously hated school. Seriously. Looks quite fun now! Maybe they might even teach kids how to be happy and fulfilled these days!?

It is not just poker this week, everything seems to be coming my way! Had a laugh with the guy in the petrol station the other morning and he slid me £10 voucher under the table! I made a "small" complaint about our accommodation when we went away last weekend and they have sent us 2 free nights B+B to use in the next year (worth£200)!!! Daughter won 2 different raffles on one charity night!

I dunno wtf is going on!!!

GL everybody, hope you run as hot as me!!!

Weekly Update 19/10/2015

Poker

Ok, there is this rather important thing called variance so let's not carried away here (yeah I am talking to myself!)!!!!

Just to summarise what I have been doing this week:-
  • Warming up with intent (meditate 20 mins, define my goals and my purpose, watch 10 min strategy video, so it is like 30+ mins!!!)
  • Played 18 hours over 8 sessions (won every single one yo!)
  • Nothing else different other than mindset to win money (not just to win).

Other Stuff

Currently I am looking into how the conscious mind works with/against the subconscious mind. Not going to go really deep here but on the surface it seems that our conscious minds are working with our current beliefs and values and our requirements but it is extremely difficult for it to override our subconscious minds which is more our IDENTITY. It is almost as though our conscious mind needs the use of will or determination and such things to get results in life. Example is giving up smoking or such. We can use our conscious mind to make us stop for some time because we know it is going to kill us/it is expensive etc but in the end if our IDENTITY is still "I am a smoker who has quit" rather than "I am a non-smoker" then we are constantly using our conscious mind and somewhat fighting the inevitable.

I have a friend who quit smoking for two and a half years and I was always amazed how he did it because he did not seem to do it how I did it (I became a non smoker overnight btw). Every time I saw him I would talk to him about it to try to get answers. Then I saw him around a month ago and he told me he had had a few cigarettes lately. It kind of blew my mind! I needed to find out why!!! What has shifted this from what I call a success into a temporary success!? After a few hours of very subtle interrogation he said what I expected to hear... "Well I am a smoker, I always was a smoker. I was just a smoker who quit". BOOM!!!

The other story I uncovered this month was one of politics. I really don't want to talk politics here but the gist of the story is somebody I know has spent at least a year protesting against something our government is doing that affects her and a lot of people close to her. For at least a year she was talking of voting for the only party that shared her view, and NOT voting for the party she has voted for all her voting life. It seemed the best thing to do was not vote and she seemed to agree with that. Then on the day of the election she voted for the party she has always voted for even thought they are going to tear part of her world apart. And she could not even answer why! (IDENTITY I tell ya!)

This is only the surface. We need to dig deep into ourselves to find our true IDENTITY and find what our subconscious mind is thinking. And then I guess we need to find a way to change our identity! Wow, sounds fun to me! I am pretty sure I just did it with my previous hate for money, but it is still a work in progress.

Man I love that money stuff!!!

Fun Session!

Really enjoyed my session last night! Hit a couple of brick walls early on and was down around $100. Hit my 2nd cooler and it tilted me for an instant - my immediate thought was "stop loss will protect me"!!! Then I quickly flicked my mindset to "I am a winning player, I am going to make $10000, play as I know how and the money is mine!!!" - and stone me it all turned around!
