Haha, I hope all is well with everyone. I'm in Vegas right now and I will be here until late July. After that I am off to Law School, in beautiful Malibu California. In the interim I had/have 9K to work with. My goal was to make it all back and make 10K on top to play the Main Event, and defend my cash!(Did I really just say defend my cash? I certainly did.)

Anyhow, before the NBA playoffs began I placed two long shot bets at 1K apiece. I bet 1K on OKC to win it all at 20-1 and 1K on Miami to win eastern conference at 13-1. That leaves me 7K for poker.

The plan for now is simple, starting today, hit the felt and play some 2-5, and try to build a roll for the WSOP, Venetian Deepstacks et al.

As a disclaimer, I have a bright future ahead in law school, fully paid for compliments of the US Army, Pepperdine, and the VA. In the interim lets gamble it up.

First day back on the felt worked out well. I headed off to the Venetian and played a little over 4 hours and booked a 466 dollar win. It wasn't a very eventful evening, but I did work my stack upwards of 800 dollar profit before a losing decent size hand in the last orbit. When playing cash I never set a time limit to the hours I sit. When I'm losing early I will call it a day right then and there. If I am winning, I will keep pushing the issue, until the tide has turned a bit. I find that one plays worse when chasing, and much better, and properly aggressive when up.

Oh and what a HUGE win by OKC last night. That win might have changed everything.

Second day on the felt not so good at all. Quite disastrous as I lost 1182 of the 1200 that I put on the table today. I played for 3.5 hours, and you know what I stayed longer than I should have since, I was mostly stuck the entire session. I felt the game was good enough to justify sticking around a bit. Ok well I will have to get back to work and try to turn this bankroll in the right direction.

So today was quick and painful, haha. Yep I got stacked for 1.1K in about 20 minutes. It was NOT a cooler, it was simply a horrific read on my part, and a well deserved stacking. I'm hoping this weekends session will improve my outlook. If not we gave it a good ol try. Ok so I will be back on the felt tomorrow to play some more 2-5NL. I have also added some tournaments into my schedule, by eliminating one of the cash sessions. Since you know cash to be honest has not gone well at all since I got back from Kuwait, poker in general has not gone too well. Maybe the game passed me once I stopped playing full time in 2013. Perhaps I peaked before I went to Afghanistan at the end of 2011. This is all possible. But I might as well push on and see what will happen and if the old brain will click in again.

So I put in about 10 hours on the table, but still ended up with a loss. I have thought about some adjustments I need to make. Also some game leaks I do need to plug. We will see how it turns out today. Overall today's result could alter my schedule for next week. A terrible losing session and I might wrap up playing cash all together. We will see how it goes today/tonight.
