Im breaking even for 3 days now and Im not too happy with it. Im tilting a little too much when losing and its frustrating. It leads to me playing worse then my A-game and its not OK. I basically need to just shorten my sessions and just play my game and ignore the results.

So my roll is still at 50 buyins for PLO75, and I need 20 more to be able to take a shot at PLO150. Hopefully I can get on a heater soon and try climb to the next level.

Just remember where you started ($200 BR) and where you are now! Breaking even for 3 days, although annoying, is not the end of the world. It happens to the best of players... keep your head up and keep playing well. You seem to have a good grasp of the game and I think PLO150 is inevitable - whether it takes 2 days or 2 weeks, you'll get there.

Maximum buyin is 200bb but standard for me is buying in for 100bb. I think Im more confident with my game with 100bb then starting out deeper. Yea Ill be playing PLO60/75 for a while more so we will problably clash ^^.

Another painful day to an end. Getting coolerd or outdrawn and it makes me tilt. Tilt for me is just getting frustrated and very hot, and doesnt really affect my game noticably. Still it sucks being tilted and play. Poker should be fun and its not fun losing/tilting.

Since I considered myself being a reg at PLO60/75 the 14th January, Ive been slightly up or slightly down the 50 buyins. At the moment Im sitting at 42 buyins for PLO75 and I need to get to 70 for the shot at PLO150. I know I will get there but it sucks when running like this.

I guess obstacles is there to challenge myself and really force me to raise my game. I see this "bad run" as an oppurtunity to differ myself from the crowd. Weaker players quit when things get tough, but not me. I just need to trust in myself and success will follow.

I will study "Mental Game of Poker" starting tomorrow, and post here some things I will apply to my game that I find useful.

          Great mind set!

The mental aspect can so often be overlooked but is so so important.

Been in a downswing last 2-3 days and Im looking over my options right now. I just setup an RB deal on 4 different networks. Reason is that I want to climb the stakes and at svenskaspel its very doable. But even if the value is incredible, the short term variance can really put a stop to it. A possible scenario would be to spread out my roll and play mainly at an RB site and at svenskaspel when theres value. What do you guys think about it?

Having RB would be a nice boost to building my roll and neglect variance a bit. And Im sure I can be playing profitably at other networks aswell up to PLO50 for sure. I know I have a plan for 2013 but I need to be flexible in my approach to achive it.

Another thing Ive been doing last few days is to improve my rapports, which I think have been a huge help for me. It helps me to keep track of my progress and find out what I need to work on in my game. I highly recommend everyone to do rapports. Another thing Im going to work on is my daily routines. Ideally it would be like playing for 4-8 hours spread out over the day, doing 1 hour of rapports and 1 hour of disscussing hands and reviewing tendencies in HM. So I would do poker for 6-10 hours a day which would be ideal. Im going to really work at implementing these things into my day the near future and see how it works out.

Anyway, if you got any tips for me about where to play and what not, pls comment!

Meh, down to 30 buyins ($2300) for PLO75. Been on a terrible run for 9 days now and cant seem to get out of it. Been looking trough the sample in detail and it looks like its all very standard, just on the wrong side of things at the moment. It makes me feel alot better that Im actually playing good even though Im losing.

Anyway, as long as I play good and keep focusing on improving it will turn around somehow. I can afford losing 14 buyins before I have to step down again to PLO30. In order to combat that, I will set a session stoploss at 2 buyins and then instaquit no matter what. I cant afford losing more then 2 per session to be honest.

Anyway, my decision about spreading my roll to RB sites will be postponed. Since I need my roll to play PLO75 at svenskaspel, I cant really spread it and play the same limit. So I will stick to this site until I hit PLO150 and then make a decision about it.

Great day. Played alot and I was very focused for every session. Set goals for all sessions to quit once Im down 2 buyins, because I cant afford losing much more then that in a single session. Fortunately I ran somewhat decent and it didnt have to come to that. Actually ended up winning ~18 buyins at PLO75 so Im almost back at 50 buyins for PLO75.

Im having some good routines now working before and after my sessions Im feeling great whenever I choose to play or leave the tables. So hopefully I can keep improving every day and it wont be too long before Im hitting PLO150 I guess. Anyway, need to keep my mind focused on playing well and not results.

Another thing is that I wont be doing daily schedules anymore. I think its easier to just figure my day as it comes along, but poker is always on the schedule in my mind. Im also variating the session durations due to different activities I need to attend to but I think I will be averaging 4-8 hours of playing next couple of days.

Feeling great, playing great. Looking forward to see how far I can push myself.

18 buyins?! Very nice. You're crushing! Remember there's always going to be downswings though.. and don't take them too much to heart when you're going through it.

I agree that being adaptable with your schedule and playing when you feel like it is probably the best way to be. Unless you're going for SNE or something and need to put in X hours a day.. otherwise I think picking and choosing could well be more +EV, even if you get in less hands. I've been 8 tabling HU SnG's and know I couldn't sit and play when I had planned the night before - I take breaks after anything from 1 set to 8 sets. Sometimes I win and still need a break.. sometimes I lose and just want to jump straight into the next set.

Good luck! F5ing for next updates, lol.

Thanks, sometimes I do get paid . Yep I think I learned alot from this recent downswing and Ive changed my approach abit. Im making my rapports after every session/day more detailed and focused on performing rather then results and Im feeling much better with that.

Im also studying way more last few days then before and hopefully I can keep that going. Alot of time goes into improving my mindset and mental flaws and I can already see improvements.

Today is salary day in Sweden so will be playing alot. Hopefully I can bring my best game. Will also post a graph soon for recent hands.

Not yet because I kinda purge from time to time to speed my laptop up, HM2 with a huge databaze just slows it down too much. I will at one point though restore all hands and post a whole graph, most likely when I reach a milestone like PLO150 or 300 or whatever. But there will be one in time .

Another very progressing day. Studied a bit on how emotions and the brain functions and It was like a lightbulb switching on above my head literally. So I think I had one of these "aha" moments today so hopefully it sticks.

Also played alot and overall very happy with my game, and I think I ended a little up. Going to play alot tonight and hopefully keep bringing my best to the tables.

Halfway to taking shots at PLO150. Have been playing very well since I made some changes with my rapports and warmup and Im bringing my best to the tables. Also been allowed to run fairly decent last days so things are looking good.

Will problably spread my roll a bit when I hit PLO150 and become regular there. Reason is that its not that much action above these limits and I would problably be fit to look elsewhere for that.

Except for a sweat session, I had today as poker free and it was good for me to do some random stuff and not think too much about poker. First session after a time off is always a bit slow and you need to get into the grinding mode again. So first session tomorrow will be short and then I will increase the length over time back to normal 60-120 min sessions.
