Yo.

I'll try and keep this brief. Basically, I'm a recent college graduate who was an ex-college athlete. I've played poker nearly 2 years, and I've focused 99% of my energy on MTT's. I've played a ton on untracked sites in the USA (Ignition) which is around 3-4k profit. I've now transitioned most of my volume to Chico & WPN. I really like Chico's formats and I believe they're some of the softest games in the world. I also mix in volume on Global Poker.

Point of thread: I want a backer. I want a coach, a mentor. Someone successful, someone who understands the Online grind, someone who can allow me to play high value live tournaments. I want to live and breathe Poker, I want to grow. Money isn't a concern immediately, I'd give a very high % to be able to grow and be coached by the correct player.. even provide collateral as needed.

I've never really had a mentor. I've never really had a coach. I'm self taught, but most recently purchased RYE and that has my all of my focus. I watch a video daily, take full notes and repeat until I understand everything I can from that video. My lack of accountability has made me not study as much as I should, and when I can notice that it's an obvious leak.

In order to get a grasp on most of my career (excludes about 5-6k profit), here is a graph to sum it up a little:

As you can probably see, I take a lot of shots. I build a bankroll up through micro stakes on BOL ($100-$1000 took 3 weeks) then I proceed to take some shots on Sunday to potentially change my life. I feel comfortable doing this as my life expenses are covered and poker is strictly for the luxuries (extras) in life, plus I really just love Poker as a whole. I love competition, I feed off of it.

I'm hoping with my progress that I show here, I can find a reliable stable/mentor who could consider taking me under their wing and allowing me to make them profit as well. I'm teachable, willing to learn and have a very open and favorable life conditions.

You may have even see me on ESPN, as I'm a highly known and respected Madden professional.

I plan to blog scores here, give weekly graph updates (every Tuesday).

I'm a part of the P4U group (some controversy) where I play on WPN through an agent, someone I trust very much. This group is private, but they run daily MTT's ($22 on week days, $55 on Sundays). I'm up over $1,000 in these as well as they're probably the softest $22/$55 in the world lol. I brought this up as I have a GLOWING reputation there. I sell packages as big as $1,100+ @ 1.1 within 10 minutes. I'll provide some payouts, etc pictures as I show how fast I payout when involved in a large cash.. something I pride myself on. I've even paid out of pocket to these investors when I played on ACR and couldn't cash out instantly.

Day 1 is complete.

And it was ugly. I fired some tournaments outside of my schedule that I normally wouldn't play and it didn't end well. I sold 50% of the $55 15k on WPN, which sold instantly and 50% of the $55 4k on Global.. bricked both. Fired two bullets in the $11 7.5k, brick brick.

We made a few deep runs late, one in the $20 Prog KO on BOL and one in the $6.60 3k late.. We got it in for chip leading pot QJ4 with 44 and he has AA.. turn K, river T lol.

We bust near bubble.

Oh well. Chalk it up as a loss and move forward. I get these days will happen but the fact I've dealt with these days so often kinda doesn't bother me that much. Might end the night in a sour mood, but I never let it bother me the next day.

Well I'll be working today, but playing sporadic tournaments throughout the day as I can single table while working. This equates to like 1-4 tournaments throughout the day which helps bring my volume up while I work. I'll try to aim to get 2.5 on average a day. That adds onto my volume 75 MTT's a month.. which I'd say is worth it. My focus isn't 100%, but I am single tabling so it's probably more +EV than me playing 12 tables on a single monitor. lol.

Good news?
Well.. there is this guy in the P4U group who basically takes a "poker loan" from me often. He gets his buy-in amount ($11-110) from building a schedule.. he then asks me for the full amount. He gets 60% of his profits if he cashes, and I get 40% + SB. If he bricks and doesn't cash or profit, I get repaid in full a few days later. Pretty good deal for me.. and he ALWAYS pays when he said. I also have another guy who loans $50-100 weekly from me and pays me 100% interest lol. Not sure why he constantly asks, and I kinda feel guilty taking it but I mean loaning $50 on a Monday to get $100 on Friday.. every week.. pretty steal of a deal for me. I'm probably up over $700+ from loaning him money and the max I loan him is $100.. so I'm taking zero risk really. He's a good guy as well.

Well, the guy who plays with the poker loan took 2nd in the home game for $260 so I got a nice little $100+ profit from it. Can't complain! Probably made me around BE for the night, oh well.

Day off today because GF wants to hang a little (she sacrifices a lot of time to let me play).

Monster session Friday, Monster session Saturday... Monster session Sunday.. maybe?

Either way, I wanna grind out 100+ MTT's this weekend which I should be able to do easily.. maybe 150+.

I'll update more on Saturday, after Fridays session!

Edit: Will study on Friday before the session. Busy @ work so won't have time to do quality studying. I'll dive back into post flop video. I want to make flash cards detailing important information. I also want to make large ranges I can hang up around my computer.. this way I can 6+ table and not have to constantly check the interactive ranges RYE provides.

Hey, GL on your goals!

I'm a US player and also tried to get a coaching for profit deal. Couldn't get one unfortunately but hope you succeed.

I'm building up a sample too and might try again or just pay for coaching.

Of course Sharkscope not picked it up

A7 vs 44.. 76K flop, 3 turn 5 river GG.

Made deep run in $33 2.5k Freezeout.. but got it in good and busted 12th.

Still grinding up late but thought I'd post this.. super bummed Sharkscope not updating because thats my "proof" of results.

obv annoying to manually report missing games if youre putting in some reasonable volume but that will help you

Sadly they don't have that option for BOL.. just will have to eat it.

Pretty bummed, just finished 5th in the same tournament the next night (tonight)... URGH.

We also got 3rd in the $16 progressive KO for like $140.

Pretty sick run.. just wish I could finish

Still have some deep runs tonight in the $2k and the $5k so maybe I can finish in one of those.

Sick to my stomach.

We FT the $3k to end the night.. and RIP.

Just gross how bad I've ran at FT's these last 4 days.. I mean holy fk. It's one thing to bust tournaments 3rd level with AA vs KK but to run this bad after grinding hours and hours and hours and hours and hours it hurts.

Mentally not there.. play is good tho I guess.

Well, the weekend was solid. I'd say every day besides Sunday my ABI we below $10, and I made $400 every single day in profits. I can't complain about that.

The frustrating part? We we're close to some big scores but fizzled out. It's nice to run decent early in tournaments, but to get brutalized late sucks. Finishing 5th in the same tournament back to back nights sucked, as it's the biggest daily MTT on that site.

Sunday wasn't great, I sold a big package on WPN @ 1.2 and sold it in 15 mins.

Is it even worth it to show my graph anymore? BOL isn't accurate at updating on Sharkscope.. not sure the reason. It shows me up $200 hahahaha. I'm taking out another $500 today, which leaves my BOL balance at $506 remaining.

I'm happy because I'm making great money.. I'm not happy because I'm missing out on my "proof" for backing .

My plan this week is to not fire anything bigger than the $11 7.5k nightly.

It's super nice in Seattle this weekend and I have hoopfest coming up (Biggest 3v3 basketball tournament in the world) so my volume will suck this week.

Plan:
Monday - Movie with GF
Tuesday - Poker or BBall
Wednesday - Poker or BBall
Thursday - Poker or BBall
Friday - Poker
Saturday - Poker
Sunday - Lil poker + bball

Really will play more or less depending how I'm feeling.

I've also stopped smoking weed. This'll be an interesting change for me.

Good news not related to my poker career.. well kinda.

My buddy is firing ~$8k in MTT's in Vegas atm. First MTT of the package was the double stack and he's going into day 3 26/162. WOO.

I have 3%, so if he ships for ~$660k it'll be a nice $20k pay day.

ONE TIME LANDONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.

If you are serious about wanting to make money in poker then you need to play mainly cash games. Plain and simple buddy. Good luck.

Well.. night started rough but we ended it with winning the Progressive KO $19.20.. my biggest "shot" of the night and my favorite tournament of the night.

Was about $550 after bounties!

Pretty crappy day yesterday.

Didn't go to work, so I sold a $420 package @1.1 and grinded.

Didn't go well. We cashed about $200 in the package (although I made a little bit on things outside of the package).

Kinda frustrating, but that's poker. I took out another $400 as well.

Here is a quick update on balances:
BOL - $500 in account - $1,400 withdrawn (started with $100).
WPN - $0 in account - $0 withdrawn (started with $100).
Global Poker - $175 in acc - $50 withdrawn (started with $100).

Just gonna continue grinding my normal schedule! Probably cut out majority of larger stuff or sell small packages to them daily @ 1.1 to cover my ass a bit.

Thanks,

T

Nope dont play cash games to much bot activity and collusion and the rake is to high for his limiits MTT and sngs is the way to go until he gets a big bank roll then he can transition over to cash when he has a roll for 200nl and higher where people wont risk using a bots cause it will cost them to much money if they get caught. Thats where it get ssafer is when you move up to 200nl. And then plays cash but never sit right away. WAtch the players for 30m to an hr to see if anything fishy is going on then take a seat. It sounds crazy to be paranoid like that but I made decent money being paranoid about it to make sure I get a legit game. It is boring to not play and watch but I go with my dads motto "better safe then sorry"

I'm not trying to knock any of your guys ideas, but I'm not interested in playing cash. MTT's is my focus and I don't want to deter from that.

Also, my focus is going to change. I don't want to take anymore big shots until I can build up another roll safely.

Restarting rolls and graphs:
BOL - ~$130
Global - ~$120
WPN - $0 (will add $100 once I reach a cash out on a different site).

This'll be my focus.

I won't be playing this entire week (maybe a few SnG and Global Tournaments) because I'll be getting ready for Hoopfest (biggest 3v3 basketball tournament) so I'll resume in 7 days (following Monday).

Happy with my $1400 w/d from original $100 on BOL. I want to do that again but this time not take any money out until $1500 is reached.

Is your goal to make money from playing poker? If so, then choosing to play anything other than cash games is a bad idea. If you're doing it for fun then go ahead and enjoy playing MTTs.

I've already told you (and I don't know why you continue to post) that I won't be playing cash games. My focus is on MTT's strictly.

Not trying to be abrasive, but your information is wrong on so many levels. I have made a significant chunk of money from both, but if I had to choose which is fishier, it's tournaments and not even close.

GL, though, Knittle

Is your global name the same as 2+2 or no?

Appreciate the nice words man.

My SN on Global is Stressful.

Won't be playing much this week until Monday (besides today). I'll be back on the heavy grind starting next week.

I need to add more volume on Global though, just kinda annoying to deal with browser based clients :P.

Again, thanks for the response man!

Weeee're back from Hoopfest. We finished 2nd . Made championship and they had to beat us twice... and they did.

RIP.

Oh well. I'm back and am ready to hit the felts again. I'm going to be grinding hard on Tuesday/Wednesday and have mixed volume on the weekend as well as other days in the week. We have to dog sit for my GF's parents.. so I'm kinda handcuffed on Saturday/Friday but will make up for it on Sunday.

Lack of volume is terrible.. but I'll be okay.

Question for everyone..
I backed a "friend" for some WSOP events and hes refunded a few, played some but never has updated me/other backers AT ALL. I've had to ask every time and its not really fair because he doesn't even let us know if he isn't playing something or is or when he's regg'd or busted.. it sucks. Am I out of line to ask for buy-in receipts?
