Hola!

I have decided to take up this challenge as I had left my previous challenge midway. In my previous challenge, I grinded from 0$ to 410$ playing 45 man turbo SNG. However, in this one, I will be playing zoom 2NL and grind my way up.

I have started studying strategy for zoom. Technically, this challenge started a week or so back. I have put in 5,569 hands to be exact and I am up 23$.

It will be difficult for me to put in a lot of hours every day as I have a full-time job on weekdays but the majority of my grinding will happen on the weekends.

Below is my graph -

My bb/100 hands is 9bb, is this low or standard? I understand I will have to put in a lot more hands to understand my win rate.

I would really appreciate if someone had suggestions/links to essential articles/youtube channel/or if someone is doing something similar, to share on this thread.

Bankroll - 128$

Good luck on the tables!

Hey) If it's not zoom, it's standard, however, usually if you play higher volume your winrate will go down. Because eventually some really run bad or tilt + runbad can happen to you which leaves dents in your graphs and lowers your winrate. Also, there is possibility that the regulars of your limit might eventually adjust to your play and give you trouble or at least handle you more efficiently, thus lowering or countering your initial edge against them.

Typically, I would suggest to not view your winrate online from less than 100k hands due to variance. If you're a full time grinder and playing ZOOM I would expect at least 100k hands a month played, probably 150k to 200k if you're really grinding up your bankroll full time, over 200k hands a month volume is high and rare in zoom cash, especially now, because there is no to tiny rakeback in Stars since Summer last year. However, since you're part-time, maybe aim at ~60k to 70k hands a month of ZOOM poker. If you 3-table, it would take you ~80-90 hours a month or basically quite serious grind on Saturday and Sunday and maybe a few more hours on workdays.

You should probably be looking to grind your bankroll up to, say, $200 or $250 and then proceed to beat $5 zoom. Ofc, the money is not so great, but if you can beat it at 5bb/100 or higher you're good and you can climb the zoom however high you can via just climbing it, I guess.

On strategy, I basically suggest you develop your own play and review your sessions and hands. Via just playing a lot while not being tilted and being able to reflect to your play you can climb decently high. If you lack info on how other 'pros' play or concepts, you can, say, buy Run It Once Elite membership as I have for $100/a/month (but the drawback here is that the materials are not too organized and you might waste a lot of time watching a good chunk of the content)
