Im a NL50 Pokerstars grinder//Live player, and im flying to Los Angeles from September 27 to November 7 to play at the Commerce 5/5 Max 500.

The idea of this thread, is to keep track of my goals in order to succeed, ask for some help about some LA stuff and maybe share some funny/interesting hands.

My last trip to US was this year for the WSOP season, played like 400 hours in 7 weeks but lost my mobile on a roller coaster at Six Flags (LOL?) so the only data ive got at 2/5 or 5/5 is:

- 2/5 Bellagio 169 hours USD 56xhour
- 5/5 Commerce 47 hours USD 130xhour #LOL runing good

For the next trip i will be happy to play 250 hours but my goal will be to play 300 hours, regardind to win rates i will be ok if I average $40xhour, happy 50xhour, very happy 60xhour+

I would like to know if anyone knows a good place to stay in terms of $$$ and nearest to the Commerce, First night i will stay at the Commerce for 150xnight, does anyone know if there is a way to stay cheaper at the Commerce?

Forget to mention that before that trip im flying tomorrow September 22 to Punta del Este (Uruguay, South America) to play some cash game, the is an LAPT (Latin America Poker Tour) going on, so i hope i find some good cash games, the minimum stakes are U.S. $3/$6 so i think i will play those games, havent got bank roll to play $5/$10

The main expenses are the flight ticket (USD$200) and the accomodation ($100 for 4 nights) lets say $200 other extras so i would like to play 40 hours.

I will post daily results plus pictures on the thread

Good luck! I lost my phone on a rollercoaster last year too. Six Flags sold my phone without even contacting me :/

Post lots of pics, make sure you don't get too burned out. 300 hours is a lot for a month.

Now im in the bus from Montevideo (Uruguays capital) to Punta del este, its a 2 hours ride, im very lazy at taking pictures but took a couple in the plane while crossing Cordillera de los Andes (Andes Mountain). Pretty nice.



After i arrive i will leave my stuff in the room and go to the casino to see if something is happening.

Id check AirBnB to see if there is anything around Commerce. I know there are cheaper hotels around but don't think they are that great

Lol six flags, a friend told me an urban tale about knowing someone who used to work at lost@found at six flag that had a huge box filled with cell phones and was making decent money selling them cos anyone claims them. Maybe was true.

Now after arriving to my hotel, having lunch and a resting for 2 hours im in a waiting list of 3/6... Hope things start good

So... I finished my first session.... Im really proud of my volume, yesterday i woke up at 2 am and after getting here i played for 9 hours finishing at 5 am after 27 hours awake, played pretty tired but survived.

The casino was nice and the games pretty good, but rake was insane, 5% no cap and preflop rake, so if u are in the btn and min raise and both blind folds, they take $1 dolar rake from the $15 pot, in other hand someone raised to $20 y 3bet to $60 everyone folded and they took $3 rake.

I finished $48 winning after 9 hours.

BTW waitress are insanely hot ill try to take some pics

Got it, i hope tonight I will be able to paparaze (dont know how to spell) some of the waitress, today I ask one if i could take a picture of her so my friends would believe that waitress are so hot in Conrads, and she answered me "not inside the casino", not sure what she meant with "not inside", maybe she got a 2nd job

Last night session was nice, games were insanely good and i ran pretty good. I logged solid 11:39hours and won $1854, Did a bad river call that cost me $200 and didt think i did to many big mistakes. I will tell some hands in order to make you understand how LOL were the games.

1. A guy that just bough for $300 straddle for $12 UTG, Brazilian Crazy Drunk Guy (BCD) open for $31, Argentinian drunk guy in his mid 50's (named Marcelo) shoved for $335 from MP, everyones folded to the new guy that straddled that after thinking away called his $288 left.

Straddle gut had ATo
BCD had JQss
Marcelo had 68dd

Flop 9TKr LOL nothing changed and BCD scoop the almost 1k pot.

2. Marcelo opened from UTG to $100 (std 16bb open I guess), everyone folded to a tight guy with 300 left who shoved all in, everyone folded to Marcelo that snap called.

FLOP TQKr (LOL)? turn 2 river A, Marcelo shipped the $600 pot

3. Hero (me ) limped UTG JKcc, UTG+1, and UTG+2 limped as well, some guy limped as well and BCD of hand 1 opened for $31, Marcelo defended his big blind and I limp squeezed to $125, limpers folded BCD called and Marcelo called, pot was like $400.

Marcelo donk shoved $400, I called the $400, BCd folded, before he showed his card, he told me "I need a 3 to win!" I saw the flop again withouth understanding what that may mean, then he tabled 2Jss LOL and I showed my nuts JKcc turn Tx river Qc and Ishipped the1k pot.

4. BCD opened UTG, MP1 called, BTN (a guy from Switzerland, lets call him Roger) called and big blind called)

BCD cbet $40 into the $150 pot MP1 folded and Roger made it $120 to go, blind folded and BCG went to the top for his las $400 extra, Roger snap called and a young reg that was next to the right of Roger said before both guys table their hand " someone has 22 and the othe JKo", he was almost right BCD showed 3To and Roger TKo, Roger shipped the pot.

So now you have some ideas of how the games were last night.

Overall in the trip ive logged like 20hours and 1,9k profit so everything is going good, the only problem is that after been awake for 27 hours yesterday affected me and now im exhausted, today saturday should be the best day in terms of games flow because many players would be busted from the main event and prolly come tilted to spew some money to the cash games, I hope I can reach my goal of 40 hours in this trips, and its get tougher when im winning because I become more lazy, lets see what happens.

Thats some intense hours. I did a poker only vegas trip a few years back and was only able to do 10 hours a day. Game sounds awesome though.

Hey Max, how is the DS at xoom going? Ill check ur blog. Its been tough to get some picure here iside to the waitress cos its forbidden, I will do mi best tonight is my last night.

I havent been able to uptade this thread properly mainly because I spend few hours in front of my laptop, and dunno why but I dont like to post from my mobile, it take e so much time.

In regards to yesterday session I played 5:34 hours and won $984, overall the trip ive played 38:04 hours in 4 days (almost the target 40:00) and won $2.941, and hourly of $77, pretty good considering the insane rake.

Tomorrow im arriving home and I will make a complete post summing up everything in front of my desktop . Hope dont spew all the earning in tonight sessions
