This post is intended for documentation of my progress to my friend's challenge on me to make $199 to $2,000 from now til Nov 30, 2016.

Challenge Accepted!

Reward = Be paid by $4,000 or double my PS$ Roll whichever is higher
Sanction = I pay him $2,000

Rules:
1) I should only play on PStars
2) No additional deposit
3) Rakeback, bonuses are considered part of winnings
4) Can play any kind of poker, any stakes, etc
5) The challenge is up to Nov 30; reaching the goal before the Nov 30 is not yet considered completed

Background:
Me = I am a stock trader from Philippines who is a recreational poker player. I like playing live 200NL and 100PLO. I'm decent against live fish. But I have yet played a single hand in real money online poker. Played Zinga poker though. I am a pretty sick risk-taker. Hence, I accepted the challenge. I need to be successful 33% of the time to break-even.

Friend = Semi-professional live poker player. He is a successful local tourney player for 2 years now. He taught me about NLHE last year and PLO this year.

Given my background, I am an amateur looking to win some bragging rights! LOL. I will post my cashier balance every day here to give update on my current roll. I have no HUD hence I can't post graphs.

From time to time, I will post hands that troubled me. Appreciate if anyone can give his 2 cents.

Let's get it on!

oh man, I think there is no way you willl be successful at this, the games are tough online, my advice to ou would be to nit it up super hard and only play premium hands, cause postflop youll be raped otherwise

anyway good luck

Thanks for that piece of advice fella. I'm a very LAG player. It's win BIG or go home for me. I prefer the first.

No reason why variance couldn't make OP win this. Especially when he's a risk taker and he may start out playing 200nl.

Pretty much a sick 2-days (6 hours) of play.

Day 1: Right at the bat (upon depositing) I played 50PLO. It was a super easy game as I never thought online PLO players are so weak and easy to bluff post-flop at this stake. 4 hours of play and I was up $423.

Day 2: I started late in the second as it was a very business stock trading day. Up by 7%. Very happy mood going to play online poker. I started aggressively at 100PLO. Lost 2 buy ins quickly to a massive multi-player PF shoves. Both runs I have premium AAxx double suited. It sucked as I was very well ahead until the river. Lower down to 50PLO. The action was a bit slow and timid. Players just flat bets/3bets. Just up by $46. Total for the day. -$54. BR = $369
