Trying to make money it in the PLO streets. Trying to make money it in the PLO streets.

Up till so far I never really made it in poker. However somehow my consciousness can't let poker go and I always felt I had to succeed in this field.
Now that I' am getting closer to my 30s the pressure of performing is getting bigger. If I want to make in poker I need to begin taking this very serious now.

I' am still a relative beginner playing PLO. I do enjoy the game, however I also like to play NLH cash and tournaments. Mixing this games together is obv not a a great idea. Therefore I need to start putting 90% of my attention into PLO.

I guess I can show my results so far from this year. It isn't impressive, but gives a good impression where I am at right now.

The getting closer to your 30s thing hit a little too hard for me.

We're basically in the same spot. Good luck!

@mctoady To be honest I sometimes get anxiety because of it. It's not that 30 is a terrible age, but it's more the idea of beeing beeing unsuccesfull at 30 that is haunting me. Yeah sure I have a degree and some work expierence, but that doesn't mean much to me because my heart wasn't in it.
At the same time I should accept that my life will be nothing special and should take it as it comes:

So today I played my biggest PLO hand in BB's yet. I often reset my stacks at PLO zoom when I get deeper. But now that I'am getting more comfortable playing PLO I just keep playing. It's only 25 PLO, but I am still a relative beginner to the game and getting records is a good sign of making proces.
My plan of lowering the SPR worked out pretty well by min squeezing in this spot. AA76rb doesnt do well in multiway with a high SPR.

Yeah I know how you feel. Saw my friends starting to buy houses, have kids and was like "wtf am I doing with my life". So I ended up getting a job teaching in Korea. No regrets so far at least.

Also, very nice pot! Picking up 3 stacks in one hand can never be bad!

I don't have a house and kids either. However I rather travel around more first, before I' am thinking about settling down. To me succes just means you'r happy or at least content in what you'r doing. And that isn't totally the case with me yet.
Did you move from another country to Korea or are you a original citizen there? It's def one of the countries I would like to visit one day. Maybe even to North Korea, but that can also turn out pretty boring without having much freedom.

I would rate this month pokerwise a 6.5/10. I still felt I could be little more productive, but overall I still improved my game allot this month.

I still make allot of mistakes while playing. In winning sessions I' am often willing to push more aggresion on purpose knowing it's likely a mistake, but wanting that conformation.
It doesn't seem a bad idea to just get out of line from time to time, because that's a great way to learn.

My graph this month:
