Hi guys,

I recently got laid off and had some time off from work. I have always loved games of strategy and played a little hold'em before Black Friday.

I decided to make the switch to PLO because it is a new game and it is more complex than holdem. IMO.

I have been dedicated to improving my game in some of the more standard ways such as hand history review, going through my holdem manager, and tying to think through spots more.

I definitely still make a lot of mistakes, but I think I am improving.
Some of the mistakes I currently make are:
Sometimes over thinking some spots and tricking myself into calling with marginal holdings.
Not playing 3 bet pots all that great and assessing my opponents range
Figuring out if I can get a fold in single raise pots.
Playing speculative starting hands
Figuring out what continuing range to play when 3 bet from button and how to play post flop when missing.
I try to win too many pots when I have no fold equity (Probably habit from holdem)
Playing aces OOP in 3 bet pots.
Overfolding post flop with marginal holdings.
Bluff catching too much on rivers.

Overall I play pretty tight, but I think i continue too weakly in certain spots. Sometimes I estimate that I am too tight with my preflop range, but it is a work in progress, but I hope to improve.

I'll be posting some hand histories here and what I was thinking. Hopefully we can learn together.

I'll be trying to set up a twitch stream as we go along. Let's have some fun and get better!

My goal is to build a bankroll and get good enough to play 100 PLO.
