Saturday night was a night to forget. Probably won a total of like 7 hands in 8 hours bigger than $50. Games were fine just tough when you don't make the best hand.
Our first interesting hand comes when MP makes it 15, HJ calls and we make it 55 to go in the CO with A
A
. The SB cold calls and the other two players call and we see a flop of 3
4
3
3 checks to us and we bet 130. Two folds, and the HJ jams for 280 total. We call and we are shown 88. The board runs out 8.....5... and we lose.
The next orbit, we get in 100bb pre with AK vs TT and lose.
We try to make some back when we open to 15 OTB with A
K
. The SB and BB calls. We see a flop of 9
4
2
the SB leads for 40, a loose recreational player but were tilted and call after the BB folds. The turn is the J
and it goes check check. The river A
bails us out and we bet 100. He calls and we take it down.
We get 2 outed a few times, just the usual stuff when we have Q
9
in the CO and we make t 25 over a loose passive limper. The BTN makes it 50 and the limper calls. We call as well after getting ourselves into this bad spot. The flop comes T
7
8
and the limper leads 70. We call and the BTN calls behind. The turn is the K
and it checked to us. We check and the BTN bets 200. The limper calls, and I take a look at the 750 in the pot and make the call as well.
The river is the 8
and its checked to us in the middle. Both players have more than us, we have about 450 left and start counting it our chips. While this is happening I hear the player next to me start to grumble and complain about how bad he's running. I was planning to give up but I hear this and jam the last 450. He asks the dealer how much is in the pot, to which he replies he cannot answer. He decides on a fold and the other player folds as well. I'm not in the business of bluffing recs, and this hand was terribly played by me, but relieved to get it through.
Still stuck after this hand we are feeling a bit better and playing more disciplined (lol). We open A
A
from the CO, and the SB and BB call. The flop comes Q
5
6
and it checks to us. The two players who called are refs so I decide to go to check and go for two streets. That is, until the turn is the Q
. At this point, really don't see a point in betting for value when these two check to me so we check again. The river is the 9
and we bet 50 after they check to us. The SB just calls and we lose to QJ.
Shortly after, we try to ISO a limper to 25 with Q
J
from the CO. The BTN, BB, limper all call and we see a flop of K
5
6
the limper leads for 70 and we call, as does the BTN. The turn is the J
. It checks to us and we check, and so does the BTN. The river is the Q
and it checks to us. We go for value, 115, and they both call. We are able
To beat AK, but not K5.
We lose a few more random 2pair over 2 pair until the nail in the coffin hits when we check 5
5
from the BB and we see a flop 5 way of 5
9
9
We try to go for the checkraise, but it checks all the way through and the turn is the 9
counterfeiting us. The SB leads for 20, who is far too loose, we call and the BTN calls. The river is the 8
and he leads 20 again. We call, the BTN raises to 60 and we both fold. I tiltingly show my 55 and he throws me the fourth 9. It was a rough day, but on to the next. GL at the tables!
