April Goals

1.) Play 100k hands (Bonus: have a prop bet on this) I have 24 scheduled playing days.

2.) 25 hours of PIO work

3.) Watch 20 videos

4.)Set up first twitch stream for April 15th

5.) Meditate 20 times

6.) Go to the gym 20 times

Having a difficult time writing out how to quantify this month. Results were pretty meh, but I got a lot better, and was pretty happy with my effort overall.

1.) Failed. We played 70k hands over 21 playing days, including 2 live cash days at borgata where I logged 25 hours. Reasonably content.

2.) Big success. 42.5 hours of PIO work, helped a lot.

3.) I watched 10 mins of a video, so fail, not sure if that's an avenue that's efficient for me as far as studying.
4.) Nope
5.) 8 times. Fail. Really makes such a difference when I play so need to get back to this.

6.) Slacked on this too. 12 times.

OK results time.

Last two weeks were pretty much daily 1k swings, which I've gotten relatively used to, it's the 2k days that get to me

The breakthrough month is coming, soon I think, it's just gonna be like boom 25k month. Just gonna keep working my ass off and be patient.

May Goals

1. Play 40 hours of live poker

2. Play 50,000 hands of online poker

3. Study 30 hours

4. Meditate Every Day

5. Gym 15 times

6. Win a SCOOP

7. STREAM

Online Hiatus

My girlfriend's birthday is tomorrow so will be celebrating that with her, I got a pretty fun day planned out. Then immediately heading to Baltimore the next day for live cash (staying with all college friends) for about 5 days.

Leaving Baltimore and headed to Florida for 3 days with said girlfriend. Will be a nice little mini vacation. Then it's back to work.

From May 9th to July 17th I'll pretty much be eating, sleeping, breathing poker, and will be at the WSOP for the entire summer.

^haha it maybe a little spewy, but I don't think it's the worst hand to 3b as a bluff? Fwiw I think you've played way more with villain than me but I see mostly good things

Villain and I had a pretty aggressive dynamic going forward. His 3bet range is polar and I have a hand that blocks a good portion of his value range (45,44,55,104s,AA,A10) so think I have a pretty good bluff catch. Plus I haz pair I call.

Being consistent at starting the month stuck a decent amount. Lost 1k tonight over 2 hours.

Lost $800 with KK vs AA in straddled squeeze spot.

Then lost another 1k pot when I got I QxJd in on against villain on AKTdd6x board.

Very exhausted after last two days so looking for a nice nap now

Lost another -$1500, played well. Just got in a bunch of unavoidable spots. -$2,500 on the trip. Only brought $3500 so 1/3 the rest of the way

Trip report: -2500 over 8 hourz
Transition from a Struggling Pro to A High Stakes Endboss Quote

Played a little 1/3 ran my stack upto 1.3k, proceeded to get doomswitched and lose it all over 5 straights hands.

Trips gonna end at -$2800 over 18 hours, brought down $3,500 but just gonna lick my wounds and fight another day. Obviously a complete disaster, but I've been through worse and won't vent too much about it.

And if I don't stream on the 9th I will send $50 to a random poster to keep me accountable

Confirmed volume fish... Hope to see you at the tables this month.

Up early and hit the gym, have 3 specific things I'm gonna work on in May to improve that I think will bump up the WR. Plan on playing/studying nonstop til the 5th, have gotten that 'obsessed' with poker feeling lately.

stopped here but wouldnt say this is massively overplayed, his R check/raise is plenty of meritable, folding seems disgusting on the river if you are villain but i dont think u are ever re raising trips, and most people dont have a bluffing range in that spot so, he could have folded his "worst boat."

edit: i also just realized you overbet river like 1.4x which would certainly make me less inclined to c/r in villains shoes. You pretty much dont have a cold calling range on the flop that contains a naked 4, when V bets into two people after limping SB(seems strong). So ya, his c/r is way worse than i originally thought on the river(you either have missed OE or the nizzles in which case he should flat)

As played villain has to C/R such a strong value hand. Only better hands hero can have here are K4 and 55 which is 7 combos if hero slowplays all of them. Hero will be overbetting some worse hands such as KJo and K5.

But as played I'd rather villain overbet the river himself with a range advantage instead of going for C/R. Hero is going to check back and get to showdown with so many hands here. I also like K4 much better than 45 for a C/R if we do decide to have a CR range.

I will have some 4's with strong backdoors I think. Yeah against OB it's just not very good, and really prefer a lead than c/r

I think the same way, you put it much more succinctly though

5-3

Had a healthy grind, my girlfriend stayed over so I got to work a bit late and wasn't able to study at all unfortunately, but I have a ton of stuff gonna go over today which will be fun.

I also flicked in a 10k on party and got 9th (ran bad at final table AQ<22, and even got the A33 flop) and then QQ<KJs.

Hands:

1.) Was not expecting to be 87% here.

The weather in Hoboken is starting to get really nice and im definitely enjoying it, there's a cafe a block away outside with free wifi that I might just chill out to give me some ambience when I'm studying etc.

Another update tonight!

Vacation time

Florida in a few hours, and of course it got delayed . Yesterday was weird, I studied most of the day and after I was done I really wasn't in the biggest mood to play. Forced myself to play, and I played absolutely awful, some hands are truly horrendous. Went back on quite late and started playing well.

And now we're back to even after a nasty 3k swing to start the month.

I'll post a few fun ones before I head off.

1.) I honestly never expect this villain to call without Kx since he's just so nitty, bluff is still quite good tho

Vacation

Took a flight to Florida friday night with my girlfriend and her friend to visit her grandfather for 3 days. He's a wealthy man so got a nice view on the beach with a pool downstairs. It was super relaxing and I got a little color (much needed). I was itching bad for some poker though, so I'm really excited to be back and play

Twitch Stream Today

6PM TONIGHT! Will start with some cash and then stream the $300 HU SCOOP. https://www.twitch.tv/bbissick

SCOOP

I'm in another team competition for SCOOP and have a pretty decent schedule planned, about 5k in buyins. I sold a small amount to friends/family at NO MU. I'd like to sell a little more (at no MU of course) so if you're interested PM me before 5PM tonight.
