Cool, I'll send you a PM. That AK was a fun one. One thing I've learned is that you don't have to call cause "lol top of my range" if villain doesn't have a bluffing range and you don't beat enough of his value range. I think this was one of those hands.

Why wont you share ytd hourly or results till the end of the year? And then why say your ytd evbb/100 and hands online played right after?

I just don't feel like sharing that to be honest, and they are different statistics that I don't mind sharing.

AKA need til December to get my withered results up to scratch

But in all serious just my preference.

Such a disgrace when people who write blogs for free won't do exactly what you want them to.

Stuck in the mud this month results wise, but outside of poker have had a lot of fun. Moving out of Hoboken in two weeks to back home with my parents for a month and a half before I'm back into my new place! September and October will be heavily focused on poker while I'm definitely relaxing and not grinding too heavily this month on or off the tables.

Anyway some hands plus a special gif HH at the end.

Haha perfectly summed up my feelings at the time! I'm lucky that I'm wired where I'll feel bad about a day for around 30 minutes and then won't bother me too much.

Past few days, been in a bit of a slump and down a few k this month. I've really just been focusing on improving and not too much about results...but I do have bills to pay. Battled some top regs HU and got exposed a bit against one (probs best player in the pool tbh) also running really badly at my higher stakes.

Confidence isn't too great atm so gonna do a large amount of studying today and get back a bit on the PIO grind.

Got ravaged tonight again for about a 3k loss, I'm on a pretty big 8k downswing regarding everything and down 5k this month despite EVbb being pretty good. As much as I love the higher stakes gonna rebuild a bit at 200 and lay off 500+ (down over 10k through like 17k hands oy)

Going to Citi field tomorrow for Subway Series and then back at it Friday

Haha perfectly summed up my feelings at the time! I'm lucky that I'm wired where I'll feel bad about a day for around 30 minutes and then won't bother me too much.

Past few days, been in a bit of a slump and down a few k this month. I've really just been focusing on improving and not too much about results...but I do have bills to pay. Battled some top regs HU and got exposed a bit against one (probs best player in the pool tbh) also running really badly at my higher stakes.

Confidence isn't too great atm so gonna do a large amount of studying today and get back a bit on the PIO grind.

Some August Goals to wrap up the month:

1.) Play 75,000 hands
2.) Study 40 hours
3.) Meditate 25 days
4.) Coach 10 hours
5.) Go to the Gym 18 times
1.) Check! Very pleased
2.) 10 hours, no bueno
3.) Was sporadic with this, failed
4.) 8 hours but content with this
5.) 20 times for a success

Monthly Results

After getting in a groove the past few months, I was humbled quite a bit this month posting a career worst month. I got hammered at the higher stakes (all coolers pretty much); but didn't play very well and my mental game wasn't great, was mashing the call button more than my fair share.

I guess I could blame the month on bad variance on just highstakes but in reality not thrilled with how I played and my EV in 200 kinda reflected that. The one bright spot was the volume as I put in the most hands I've ever put in despite having a very busy month.

Really hoping to get back on a good study routine like I had before the WSOP and get back into the swing of things. I will be in South Dakota for a wedding from the 5-12th but after that it'll be all poker. I was going to sell to the WPT main but after this month I've decided against it, I may play the 1k 6 max at borgata however.

September Goals

1.) 65,000 hands
2.) Analyze 35 hands through PIO

Good luck this month. Certainly one of the better regs I have played with in NJ. I was sweating the 10 20 game last night and saw you play a hand vs the semi fish. Where 100 BB deep you flat the big blind from button open, flop checked then you bet 1.5pot on both turn and river on Q9785, 2 flush draws on turn and both brick river. Care to explain why you are sizing so high?

Presumably he had a T or J blocker or JT itself, but the reason is because he would have a lot of bluffs there--pretty good spot for polarization.

^what brokenstars said for the most part, althought I will use that sizing with more mergy hands against some opponents.

Also putting pressure on a somewhat capped range. In theory, the more bluffs I have here the bigger my sizing should be.

Months been really well so far despite not playing much. I'm in South Dakota for a wedding so I'll be off the grid for a bit but will be in Borg for the end of it's series to play some cash

It has been a very hectic past week and a half, I had a week long vacation in South Dakota which was beautiful and now I'm just arriving in AC for the week. Will do a proper update after this weekend.

Grinding some 2/5 and playing the 1k six max tomorrow, if anyone wants to say I'll be wearing red headphones in borgata

Thanks man! It went pretty terrible though, lost 2k playing cash (played well) and bubbled the 6 max about 4-5 from the money, despite running subpar, really happy w how I played, busting 29th or so when there was 58k up top isn't fun, but very funny tournament.

Will do a write up on vacation and this small getaway next day or so

It's been awhile since I gave a detailed post on everything going on. After a great start to the month, I packed my bags and headed out to South Dakota for one of my childhood friends wedding/bachelor weekend.

South Dakota

I arrived in Rapid City Airport (looked like more of a lodge than an airport tbh) and was amazed at what was around me. Nothing, just nothing. Fun Fact: Hoboken is about 1/100th the size of Rapid City (One of the biggest cities in SD) and has the same population.

After arriving, I met with the grooms brother (who I'm also very close with) and headed to the cabin to meet with the other 14 (!!!) groomsman. We had a very nice cabin where there was a basketball court, volleyball pitch, picnic tables, and a fire pit. Of course there were nights of debauchery but otherwise it was pretty tame.

While with the groomsman, we went to Deadwood, the casinos in SD, where I played single deck blackjack. Being in Vegas and AC this was on the opposite side of the spectrum. I also got to see the beautiful badlands of South Dakota and went on an old fashioned chuck wagon ride.

The day of the wedding my girlfriend flew in, we all celebrated a beautiful ceremony and much was celebrated.

After the wedding was over, me and my girlfriend decided to stay another two days to see some of the amazing wildlife the state had to offer, shoot some guns, and check out one of the famous zoo's/safari drive through. It was a really amazing week but I was very happy to get back to civilization and more importantly get right back into poker...

Some photos of Dakota!

Borgata Time

I took a day off after a long flight back from Dakota, then spent 3 days and 2 nights in Borgata. The results were not pretty.

I sit down at 2/5 (I only brought $3,500 so was not going to play 5/10) and 3rd hand I peel AA. European guy opens to 15 UTG and we're 1k effective I 3bet to 60 from the BB and he makes it 190, I call.

Flop: 853rb, Villain overships for $800 and I snap.

Turn:10

River: K

You can assume what he had

After that 1k hole I manage to run KK into AA for another buy in, despite playing well I booked a 2k loss the first day.

Borgata 1k 6 max

I ended up busting about 4-5 off the money in this one where I called off 14bbs to an UTG shove with JJ and didn't win the flip against AKss. This one hurt quite a bit since I played reallly, really, well overall.

But that's poker.

Poker

Time to get back to it, going to take very little days off going forward and my next vacation isnt til December so all about grinding a ton and getting better...speaking of which

Prop Bet

Have booked a pretty big one for me. Risking $1800 to win a little over 7k. Have to play 150k hands in October at 4EVbb, all hands have to be 100NL or higher on NJ sites and must play at least 15,000 hands at 500+. Should be a fun sweat

That's an interesting bet, how many hours will it take to complete the 150k? GL!
