Yeah I have one window, although the view is pretty much just the fence, but yeah natural light is def a win. Thank you for the suggestion!

GL man glad things are going well
Wouldn't of thought about plant life, thanks! I was considering a fish tank (lol) but plants may be the better choice

Week 34: 8/19-8/25

1.) 45 min of mediation Yearly Goal: 14.12/60

2.) 30 min of Yoga (!!!) Yearly Goal: 5.74/60

3.) 34.26 hours dedicated to poker Yearly Goal: 1034.92/2200

Fairly happy to get back in solid swing of things, study a bit, and still go out 2 nights for some fun.

Had another pretty strong week financially which was nice even though I lost another few buyins at 1k. It's much easier to feel at peace when I'm not making mistakes and it's just how the hand had to end up.

Going Wednesday to buy some furniture for the new house, closing was a little less $ than originally thought so allocating those funds to furnish. Giving Victoria full discretion as far as decoration style as she likes that sort of stuff and I have no style. I only asked for full autonomy of the office and to buy a baller couch/ sectional for football games.

I've never bought furniture before so any tips that I should or should not know is always appreciated since you guys have been killing it with life advice lately

Hands of the Week

Had a ton of sick hands this week, unfortunately have a bug with PT4 that's keeping me from posting them, I promise I will and I promise they will be infinitely more interesting than MMA's (sorry bud)

WPT

With the added little liquidity past 2 weeks and achieving the goals I set I'm going to take a trip down to Borgata in September to play the following

$1k 6max
$3k HU
$ $3500 WPT Championship

I'm selling action through my twitter so if anyone has interest, you can hit me up through there.

GL at the tables everyone!

I am so would need tax info for any score over $5k. The price we pay to play vs weaker competition

No one (and I can't stress this enough) has more interesting hand histories than MMA.

Haha tbf I can't blame him for showing anything interesting when you are playing the best players in the world.

Coached 8 hours past 2 days, had some really good discussion but sessions always get me super drained and I don't feel like playing

Have 10% left of 6 max and 12% left of Borg Main and heaps left of the HU if anyone else interested. Hopefully I don't have to resort to graphs to sell this thing out

Week 35: 8/26-9/1

1.) 15 mins of Meditation Yearly Goals: 14.37/50

2.) 0 mins of Yoga Yearly Goals: 5.74/60

3.) 41.08 hours dedicated to Poker Yearly Goals: 1076/2200

General thoughts on these year long goals

It's been nice to have a weekly chart for me to track my goals, but it's clear that I've been very inconsistent with this. Habit implementation can be really tough for me, so I'm doing my best to really ingrain this stuff into sub-conscious habit (obviously fails).

Meditation has had a pretty profound effect on my game though so, as does exercising, so going to keep trying til I get it down.

Poker

I was in a pretty big -12k hole early in the month and managed to climb myself out. I made a bit over 3k. This was my worst financial month of the year which was ironic since it was also the month I played the best poker of my life. Such is the volatility of poker.

Not gonna post a graph since my tracked results are amazing, but i got killed on untracked and not gonna post a misleading graph just to stroke the ego (Oladipo has a great post on Ego in his thread, if any readers are interesting)

Keep Outrunning The Expenses

Expenses have been exorbitant this year and more was added to this week as me and my wife went shopping for house furniture. She was definitely the frugal one but I figured for our home we want the good stuff; especially since the furnish should last awhile.

Ended up spending about $9100 on a ton of stuff like a huge sectional, new (king!) bed, tables, dresser, ottoman, and other little stuff.

It's worth noting that all these expenses haven't really made me feel stressful, just more a feeling of tiredness at continuously rebuilding the roll. I'm on my way of going from 30k to 100k for the 3rd time in a year and a half and it's taking a toll.

Feel like this post has been a bit somber, but I am very happy, I just can't wait til the wedding and our honeymoon and I can really start growing my roll. Also I'm finally all healed from the p surgery so can finally have some alone time with the wife....

Gazzy B returns

...Until our favorite Scott has decided to come down to AC to play in the WPT. As a result, he will be staying with me for the next few days. In seriousness, Gaz is one of my best friends so it'll be great to have him as I usually only see him once a year in Vegas.

Hopefully, I can convince him to play some thrice with me

On the other end, I have a sick feeling I'll play him in the HU at borgata and lose to him for probably the worst nightmare of my life. Hopefully that doesn't happen.

WPT

All sold out! Have 45% sold for 6 max, 50% for HU, 50% for WPT so hopefully we can just get a sweat for the massive bink.

My PT4 closes every time I click 'view hand' has anyone had any problems with this?

Anyway, all I have, when the WPT comes I will try to update on here but far more likely I will use my twitter to update. (this is not a plug)

Yeah, I've been using a full bed between me and my wife and our dog sleeps with us as well so it's been some sleepless nights, def one of the things I'm looking forward to.

Been grinding pretty hard, still running pretty horrific so only up a little bit, I seem to lose/use up my discipline after making tough folds cause around the 6th or 7th time I just have to see it

Going to grind through the week so I can enjoy the first week of football, we also just bought our invitations and they cost $750, lol. Weddings man.

Glad to hear you are playing well, saw you sitting as low as 50nl last night and was a little concerned. Mostly for the rest of us micro regs who already have to deal with Sauce sitting down there.

On the house front, my wife and I bought a house in December and definitely spent a lot in renovating and then populating the thing. People kept warning it's a marathon not a sprint, but I get it now. Doesn't all need to be done at once.

Haha I was on the last chest for the summer promo and was trying to get it before the deadline so started 12 tabling as there wasn't enough action (was absolutely mashing buttons) so I don't think you'll see me again.

Yeah completely agree, some work to do on the roof and things but just looking to get the necessities in for the initial move

Hey bud,

just browsed through your blog and noticed the little meditation / yoga / poker thing that you do. So i wanna say that it looks to me like even though you may have skipped more of those than you would like, it's still a great project, and a whole year is an ambitious time-frame.
And thanks for sharing it here, I've always found that it makes me cheer for people more when I get the feeling that they want to be accountable to me.
I'll sure stick around just to see how that develops.

All the best bro!

They really are the best companions. I will say being home alone is completely different when having a dog around as well.

Hey man, thank you. Accountability is the #1 reason I have this blog and even if I don't hit my goals tracking gives me some nice data for myself where I can see where to improve.

I just read up on your thread, I really enjoy your posting style.

Week 36: 9/2-9/8

1.) 0 minutes dedicated to Meditation

2.) 0 minutes dedicated to Yoga

3.) 31.28 hours dedicated to Poker Yearly Goal: 1107.28/2200

Fail on the goals outside of Poker. I've always found balancing poker with my other areas of my life a challenging aspect (one that will get even more challenging when I have kids) but I'm ok with this one since I spent a lot of quality time with my wife this week and my old friend Gaz.

Only really played 4 days this week so 8 hours per day is something I'm really pleased with. Slacking a bit on studying, but so far good on volume and results also good.

Otherwise, I don't have anything too exciting to update until the WPT, hopefuly we can get some sweats.
