Nice job. Need to win as much as possible before Doug Polk and the rest of the Las Vegas sharks are allowed to play in our games

Yeah the merger is gonna be interesting, not really worried about the Vegas regs tbh, there will be good regs entering the pool...there will also be fish, weak regs and whales

Think the most interesting issue is Nevada not having written HH so we'll have to see. I would prefer if NJ doesn't ban a HUD since I think I use mine more effectively than 99% of the pool but it's not the biggest deal at all.

--------

Playing ok...having a few regs sunrun me ridiculously to no end which is frustrating.

Overbets....Nice when they work.

Man i feel the same way lately. Every time i take that line with bruff i get the ole tpnk snap cawl and everytime i have the nizzles i get the snap fold. So frustrating.

High level question about 3 barrels and blockers. Often when we 3 barrel (and the third barrel is air), we are doing it with a hand that had significant equity / draw. Isnt that then counter intuitive bc we are blocking what we want to fold out?

I guess another way I could ask this, do solvers 3 barrel backdoor draws more then front door draws? (Bc backdoor draws block less of a villains flop calling range?) Am I thinking about this correctly?

Ive been thinking about this alot, if you could give any sprinkles of knowledge I'd appreciate.

Yeah for sure the worst. I'm probably not the best person to answer this since I don't use PIO too much but I'll do my best

When decided to bluff on river we usually want to pick hands that block the nuts/ villains calling range. So for example my 63cc hand is a pretty good bluff since I block rivered straights and although I block clubs, this combo is relatively irrelevant and it'd be a lot worse to jam A6cc, these nut flush combos are very often checked in PIO since they contain a lot more combos of villains folding range w the Ac. Another strong bluff would be 65 since I block villains straights and rivered 2p.

On the other side, bluff catching is similar. In the hand above, K6 would be considered a call in PIO more often than say KJ for it's blocking properties despite KJ having stronger relative strength.

As far as front door/backdoor, if you're going to triple it'd be better for no back doors

For example, tripling J10dd on KQ4ccs8s2x is better than both J10cc/ss. Anyway, I hope I somewhat answered your question, working with PIO has shown things that at first seem counter intuitive but really makes you think 'why does it choose this strategy' etc.

75k hands through the month and I keep switching from playing very well to blah.

On the bright side played a bit of 2k yday. So fun to play but I broke even after getting ravaged by the whale and winning vs the reg.

On another note having to ice my elbow after the night sessions cause I'm withered.

1.) Timebank saves me against good reg. Was gonna bet river would have probably sigh called tbh, thankfully I used it all up in a previous hand. Think turn sizing was interesting decision point in this hand, think I could bomb it at some freq

H1 ranging strike me as kind of odd. We don’t really have range advantage here and the board is dynamic. I’d think a larger flop betsize puts more pressure on OOP and maximizes our bluffing range. Assuming he’s 3betting around 12%.

If we do utilize a two bet-size strategy here I’d think most of the set combos should be placed in the larger betsizing category.

Hmm I take it back, the EV IP of both 1/3 pot and 2/3 pot strategies are the same. you just get to bet a little bit more often in the 1/3 pot strategy. Mixed strategy is not favored over a pure 1 betsize strategy OTF though.

Yeah exactly, 1/3 pot imo is better for me since players overall are not defending anywhere near enough. Although reg in hand is definitely not leaking in that aspect

Multiple bet size strat can get complicated so in lots of spots I favor one sizing

It's actually possible to be a nit and spewy, I would know.

Ty for the thought out response op, that makes a lot of sense. Does pio then have many check give ups after 2 barrels with bottom of range hands? Or is the answer that it doesn't 2 barrel those types of hands in the first place? (I was watching a video where pio checked back a turned flush draw and good barrel card...something like 358d turn Kd, it checked JTdd.)

Yeah I used to be very nitty running about 21/16/7 which is very...not good. You're just gonna make a lot more money opening up IMO for a multitude of reasons. As far as the spew, I would say relatively rarely in all seriousness. I don't really YOLO bluff and mostly use #BLOCKERS or as an exploit.

Naturally all my bluffs have been snapped this week

To answer your question, yes for sure there are giveups since if you tripled all of them you'd be massively over bluffing. As far as your example above, I'm not shocked although I would barrel that tunr 90% of the time. PIO will check FD, like small FD's as well. I've seen LLinus do this a few time in some posted hands.

but yeah PIO for sure will give up some no SD hands as well. Sometimes can't bluff 100% of the time when you're at the bottom of your range

---------------

The chances of me winning this bet are getting slimmer and slimmer, I'm at 85k hands w 5EVbb and currently on a mini 4k swing. AKA lost 4k in an hour playing 2k/1k where I lost stacks against an aggro maniac (still searching for 1st winning 2k session)

I've also started getting some inflammation in my elbow and it's a *****...feeling old. As said before, I've gotten so much bluffs snapped off it's getting old...I actually passed up like 3 spots which I'd normally take as a bluff which is probably a mental hurdle.

I'm also playing pretty badly, kinda fatigued, getting tilted at some of these regs but still have the fortitude to not go off in chat cause nobody likes that guy (for real).

But overall, just not where I need to be, need to spend a lot of time in November and December improving my game before my coaching is up.

I used to have terrible terrible hand/wrist pain from online, had to go physical therapy for a while, had wrist splints, etc, an then I got 2 vertical Evoluent mouses, one for each hand, and the pain has gone away. Different than elbow but worth considering.

I do have an ergomanic (sp?) mouse but i will definitely check those out, elbow inflammation has been a ***** but ive adjusted where I'm resting it and icing it on the regular to manage the pain.

No No No I paid top dollar here!

------

Just played a mini session and now sit at 100k and I'm really laboring trying to get this volume. I'm really just pushing through as hard as I can since the difference between winning/losing this bet is 9k which is a substantial difference to my roll.

A little update: Me and my girlfriend adopted a dog

I haven't had a dog since my first dog passed when I was in college, He's a spaniel/lab mix so I'm pretty excited. We take him home Sunday.

Some hands to close out this post.

I can't wait for this bet to be over. Grinded super hard today all day pretty much and sit at 110.5k hands at 4.75 EV. Gonna have to keep an eye on that and hope it doesnt get to a danger zone. Ironically, 100 NL is the stake that's killing the WR, probably due to a number of variables .

1.) I can be your herooooo fail. I actually didn't realize the 3rd club hit which makes the call much worse. Decided I was calling off on turn pretty much. Saw 10 high at first and thought I won
